The computer program is VCDS. You can program the coming home feature with that. You can also program the horn when locking with it
Whats does the vcds program do?
Great tutorial and the best i have seen. I have a Golf s MY08 BLF and rear windows are manual. Just worried i take everything apart and find the needed port being used. I wouldnt have a clue what to do next.

I did this and it worked on my driver side door but my passenger side door worked for a couple minutes then stopped now its only reading 8 volts on my multimeter what could cause this amd how do I fix it?

I have installed on the front passenger door a door exit Led lights, i have added 64 on the conrol module 52 for front passenger door but anyway the light is not working? i have made autoscan and I got DTC "00121 - Outside warning light/door exit light on frt. passenger side - Electrical error in circuit, static" according to vcds codes, possible cause for this is faulty fuse. to wich fuse door exit light for passenger front door is connected or maybe one is missing and I should one install it??

I have a Golf 5 from 2003.
On the front doors my windows regulator motors doesn't have the pins installed.
On the driver side with part number 1K0959793C, only have the 19 pin.
On passenger side with part number 1K0959792C, the 18 and 19 pin is not available.
Is there other way to install the door warning lights without these pins?

Annoyingly my mk5 gt tdi 2004 has extra wires for mirror puddle lights and heated folding mirrors so the pin 19 is populated on drivers door leaving only pin18 free and rear door wiring is different completely is there differences between the USA and uk wiring other than the fact you guys drivers side is left not right ?

Just fitted these to a mk5 golf and they wouldn't work , tried output test and all ok. The daylight sensor for turning on the headlights automatically was stopping them working until night time.

For those with Gen 1 middle controller mine was pin 1 for plus and 4 was the ground for front doors, on the driver's I had to use the ground, because it wasn't free. for back doors I still haven't figured it out. MY04 is my golf

u cant install on all mk5 4 doors if u got 4 door with electric windows but if the rear doors are manuel u cant install them and by the way thank u for ur reply i manage to do them

my best suggestion is if u got vcds go to witchever door u working on module and change the setting then while u got the socket of u can see the pins where u fit the socket check it manually and find out witch is work for u then attach the brown and red wire to the pins and open the window and close the door to make sure the light going off then find out what number pins u need to conect ur wires to on the socket then solder them to the wires u done ....

let op! elke golf 5 modules kan verschillend zijn. ik heb golf 5 van 2005 tdi 1.9. en de positie die in de kabel boom hoort is positie 1 en 2. 1 is rode kabel (12v). 2 is bruine kabel (aarde). kan al bezet zijn. maar erbij aan maken.
anders is het misschien het beste om de deur paneel eraf te halen en even voor de zekerheid meten. tip voor idereen!

+bilmezdim oei dat is een goeie. als je de aarde heb aagesloten heb je er nog 1 over. die heb ik met een spannings meter na gemeten welke pin actief ging wanneer ik de deur open deed. maar wel eerst geactiveerd met de computer. en volgensmij was het bij mij pin 1 of 2 vrij en dat was hem. wel me anders even. 0623902213
