When the nine got up at 8 sharp I was like ... aw man. Can't relate. And then she went back to bed rofl. Yes girl! And taking care of everyone else and forgetting to do fulfilling things for myself.
I identify so strongly with her entire part, from getting up to take care of everyone else to forgetting to take care of myself, to the verbal realization that these are probably unhealthy habits, to coming up with a solution that I may or may not actually implement.
This totally confirms my 9-ness! I get up to make my morning cup of tea and promptly head back to my bed and end up scrolling through my phone--for hours--when I don't have to work.
As a 9, this made me feel very understood and seen and not so alone in what I’m going through. Thanks for bringing awareness to both the weakness and strength of each enneagram, Abbey!
The 9 is SPOT ON! I was wary when she woke up at 8 but chuckled when she went back to bed 😂 I get out of bed but only to make coffee and breakfast then lay in bed until approximately noon when I get ready for a workout (some days) or move to the couch to read. Sometimes I squeeze a nap in before that though 🤷♀️ Now I’m back at work and in another term for my master’s, and my 3 in growth is shining hahaha.
I’m an essential employee and also in school, but I still wake up an hour early every day. Solely so I can go back to bed for a bit after feeding my cat and making coffee. It’s an essential part of my morning routine 😂
Jacea, I get up between 8 and 9, make coffee then move to the couch to binge watch a couple episodes, fall asleep, look at laundry I need to fold, lunch, then around 1 or 2 or 3 get going on something (not folding). so glad your routine looks like mine. and congratulations on hitting #3 growth.🎉🥳
I know that as a 4, this is super overdramatic of me - but I'm SO happy to see there are other 4's in the world and don't feel like I'm the only one like me :) Haha love your channel Abbey!
I'm a 5 and I gotta say, that morning workout of lifting weights is ambitious!!! You go girl! The only workout I can manage in the morning is lifting my phn closer while I see what information or knowledge passed me by while I was asleep. After 10 hours of alone time, I'm ready for breakfast🎯
I love how this turned out Abbey!! So fun to get a glimpse into people’s mornings. After watching I realized something I should have specified: as a four I used to HATE routines! My morning “routine” was based off how I felt, because I didn’t want anything to be forced or insincere. Over time I found though that structure gave me greater freedom because I was more grounded and ended up having more bandwidth to focus on things, whether a task/job or a creative endeavor! Since I realized that, I am now a die hard for routine! I find the best spontaneity is born out of a good routine, because if I don’t have a routine I don’t have anything to deviate from! Now, as a four, I’m able to steer my emotions rather than being steered by them. Hope this helps any fours thinking through routine!
Aww man I’m a four in the battleground phase of this transition. I feel that the routine tasks are so boring and non-stimulating. I say, “I chopped vegetables on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday! Now it’s Thursday and you mean I have to do this predictable task yet again?? This is so mundane! Will it matter 5 years from now if I ate vegetables today? (in overly dramatic voice) Maybe I was just born to do meal prep and die! What a bummer!” I don’t know how type ones take all of the functional tasks so seriously year after year. I’ve put myself out on a limb with the organizational stuff right now because I think I will be able to be more consistently productive with my personal and creative goals in the long run, but right now it is like pulling my own teeth everyday.
Mary L I relate to this so much! Here are a couple things that helped me, I hope they can help you at least a bit! The fact that you ate vegetables might not matter, but it does truly matter that you provided yourself (and your loved ones if applicable) food to help you FEEL and FUNCTION well. making my bed doesn’t feel significant but I do believe fostering a peaceful and beautiful environment in which my family and I can thrive is significant (plus I often have so much to sort through inside me and it’s easier to do that when outside of me is sorted already). But I also give myself grace. Part of being a healthy individual is going to be doing important things we don’t want to do, but I also resist the urge to measure myself by the standards I see in someone else’s life. My life might not look like my friend that’s a one and that’s part of the beauty! I think that’s mature of you to try out some new organizational routines, I wish you all the best in it!! I went through a similar thing as well, and I’m still not as organized as my “type a” friends, but I learned valuable lessons about which organizational practices are most vital for me and which don’t matter as much if I let them slide. The other thing too is I find I need to make sure to keep time for and prioritize creativity and what IS meaningful for me, otherwise the mundane tasks are just too much. That’s part of why I keep routines, is because they help me ensure that I do have time for things that I love! Outside of family, for me this is singing and my job at church. If I get too caught up in tasks, I quickly feel empty.
Olivia Goodin Grant Absolutely! I was watching your video like, this is so me! So crazy how types can be so similar 😲 I have an 11 month old and we almost have the exact same morning routine ... even down to the oatmeal breakfast 😂 I will definitely check out that podcast you mentioned 💕💕
Type 4 is SO ME! The wanting to drink out of a cute mug and sit in your favorite spot and read from your pretty Bible 😍 Also the fact that she's a worship arts assistant at her church.. that's like my dream job 😂
And then there's me, a 9 with a crazy amount of assignments and exams ahead of me and slowly dying as I get up at 7 to study my way through the day, thinking of all the sleep I could be getting ...I love you bed, and I promise to come back to you soon!
I'm a five and mine goes something like this: wake up to see the sun, nature, take a stroll or do some easy yoga, binge-listen to videos or ebooks on some topic of my interest, and get to work.
"I set the atmosphere" "Sit in one of my favorite spots in the house" Spot on!! Basically, we need to set the inside and outside mood according to what we're going to do before we start doing them with all the focus and productivity.
As a 5 i love hearing about what other people do in the morning and seeing what is/isn’t working for everyone. Thanks for sharing all these experiences!
As a 9 i have to say that i’m forcing myself to be productive in the morning, waking up before 10 and working out! That’s because i know that for the rest of the day i’m soo prone to procrastinate and waste a lot of time scrollin on my phone, so yeah i can relate:/
Yeah, I'm such a typical 7 hahaha... no structure, no routine, the ideal situation is just to roll out of the bed and do whatever I like. I totally get when she says that she feels better when she is productive but that the productivity cannot be forced. You kinda have to be in the flow of things. So my ideal life would be to have the time and space for this flow and to be able to do things when I feel motivated. To be productive when I feel like it and not be productive when I don't feel like that. You can't have that with a 9-to-5 job but it's better managed in the quarantine. Like for example if I feel like doing some chores or creative pursuits during my working hours I can do so. Freedom is the key word with 7s
thanks for sharing your perspective! This helps me understand 7s a lot! I like that you said: my ideal life would be to have the time and space for this flow and to be able to do things when I feel motivated. To be productive when I feel like it and not be productive when I don't feel like that."
Ah, I feel so seen. The struggle of sticking to a routine is so real for 7s! I totally relate that it feels restrictive *and* I feel like I’m shortchanging myself but not sticking to certain morning routine elements!
Omg as a 7 I relate SO hard core. Sure routines are helpful, but I really loathe boredom. I really value just doing my own thing. Not being able to do my usual exciting stuff has been killer.
You can actually see their personalities shine as soon as they get their intros going! As a 2w1, I really really resonated with my fellow 2. Fellow dog mom (shih tzu), and my Chloe baby is my BABY and I (s)mother her every day. Love making sure that I'm available for others as soon as I wake up. I'm always emotionally prepared to make someone's day just a little bit (or a lot) better! I have an accent earring on my right ear and it is 100% always part of my wardrobe. Glad I'm not the only 2 who feels like earrings make the outfit!
I first saw the "how is it noon already?" in the thumbnail before I saw the enneagram 9 and I thought "what, has someone made a video about me? Yes, I am a 9. My morning routine is sleep until somewhere between 10 & 11, laying in bed (usually scrolling on my phone) until about noonish when I start to get hungry. Then I make coffee and eat cereal while scrolling on my phone some more. Maybe I need to get a cat to feed and some plants to water. 🤣
I am a 3w2 so I really related to the 3 morning routine. She mentioned feeling anxious about the quarantine and not being able to sleep. That is how I have been feeling lately. She also said that as soon as she wakes up she gets racing thoughts about her to do list. Yep thats me too. Thanks for making this video. It's very interesting to see what the other enneagram numbers morning routines are.
I’m a 9w1 and relate perfectly to the 9. I also chuckled when I saw the 1 open all the windows because that is the first thing I do when I wake up, followed by coffee and breakfast in bed while I scroll through my phone.
K.Lee hey! I’m a 9w1 too! I do exactly the same thing lol I spend forever in bed, get up and open the blinds to the patio door immediately, and chill. Currently watching RUclips and crocheting 🧶 😂
wow - as a 7(w6), who has always been kinda shamed for the 7 qualities, this was very refreshing and happy to see! i’ve studied enneagram for a long time but never really seen a real collective example of us all in this way. i’m starting to enjoy how we as 7s are in the middle of these super routinely types and can kinda get our productivity from either of them! thank you for you and the vloggers for making this video🤍 means a lot.
Haha Treasure's made me laugh so much. I'm a 4 but my second highest number in tests is 7 and I think I purposely vary my morning routine (same things, different order) to make each day feel unstructured and unique at the same time. 😂
This is so awesome Abbey! Thank you for doing this. I am a 2, and that is so spot on. I don’t have a pet yet but I work as an astrologer and life coach and have been busy supporting others through the pandemic and work from sun up to sun down, all with my hair and makeup done and a smile on my face. I do have those 4 moments but not many people get to see that. Thanks again x🙏🏽
As a four watching the four morning routine in this video..I was like she seems to have way more together than I do lol. But I don't have kids and work right now. I definitely relate to setting the atmosphere , and sitting with coffee for a while. My morning routine usually consists of feeding our cats , making coffee and sitting outside on the balcony or in the living room. I switch between listening to music , watching a show , creating something new , or just chilling. I related to the 7 in the not really having a strict plan. But I definitely stay in my PJs or comfy clothes for most of the day lol. This was a great and intriguing video!
I gotta a few notes out of this and I need to shaaaaaare! 1. I'm a 9 and as soon as Autumn said that she actually gets off bed by 8am i was "WHAT TEACH ME YOUR WAYS GIRL" and then she did exactly what i do hahahaha go back to bed. THE ACCURACY!!!!! i love it. Autumn, girl, I'm so happy that you cam here and represented us and by the end realized the patterns of falling into self-forgetting. That opened my eyes
I love your notes so much!!! I know Erin from college and she is amazing and loving-- just like that in real life!! I'm hoping to make an "evening routines in quarantine" video too!
Type 9 is so ON POINT!! When I don‘t work I wake up. Go to the bathroom, eat breakfast and then go back to bed for several Hours. Then I get up and shower and go back to bed or go outside actually
I'm a 1w9 and I can say these are both accurate for me :-) I'll wake up, drink water, (and sometimes I will scroll through my phone for an hour) then go to the bathroom, walk a bit in my backyard with my dog, cook myself a lovely breakfast, do some chores, and then I shower or dress myself up, and then after all that I laze through my day doing anything I'd like.
Okay, I always felt I had no right to call myself a 3 because of my lack of sticking to some of the routine-like things, but I have always known I would be far more happy if I did. The racing thoughts thing in the morning is REAL. I also love to make my bed every morning. Getting in touch with my body takes intentionality but is very worth it. Such a sweet look at such a variety of ladies and their thoughts in the morning!
Lol I need coffee for sanity more than energy. I put so much sugar, plant milk,& creamer in it plus ice. I’m a little bit of most of these so guess I don’t really have a number. 🤷♀️
Enneagram 7w6 - Absolutely no plans or else I'll feel guilty when I don't do them. 😂 But lately my days have just tended to include the same things. Coffee, cat cuddles, morning news, working on my creative project, planning my wedding, daydreaming about future homes and trips, going on a walk, drinking wine, lots of social media time. Lots of snacks. No at-home workouts 😂😂
I am a 4 with a 5 wing and can so relate to the other 4 here! I go to bed in my yoga clothes so the next day when I know I would not be motivated to get out of my pajamas, I can still be ready to do yoga 🧘♀️ A few weeks ago, I watched a news clip on RUclips that sent me spiraling - there is a reason I avoid the news! So I decided to go on retreat and do inspiring, slow (oh how I love slow!) and beautiful activities especially at the beginning of my day. Honestly, this is always my goal but now I can devote more time to it. So I wake naturally - don’t like alarms but I am an early riser regardless. Then I read a devotional and put inspiring quotes in my quote app to share with a friend. Then I read my Bible and journal for an hour. Then listen to a psalm by Karl Kohlhase - love him! Then I add to a poster board the theme for the day of my retreat based on my reading. I like to bike and pray a Rosary or do yoga next. Then I usually talk to my mother on the phone for an hour (2arrow - and I consider those arrows both good and problematic - my one arrow gets me distracted with perfectionism and teaching all the time, and that 2 arrow can help me stay motivated) I wake my kids at 10 with quiet connecting conversation about their dreams and the basics of non-violent communication which we call our FNR - feelings, needs, requests) At 10:30 we do breakfast and devos together. Then we schedule our day based on their curiosity boards. They list all the things they want to do here at home like write, play outside, listen to music, audiobooks and homeschooling we put all those things and my scheduled agenda down in a binder in the loose structure of between breakfast and lunch, between lunch and dinner, after dinner. It’s helping us all feel not rushed (I think rushing is a kind of violence to kids and I hate it - just not beautiful ; ) life should be savored) Then we disperse to our various tasks. I usually head back to the couch to continue to drink herbal tea, read poetry and non-fiction on how to live a more beautiful authentic life. Ambiance indeed 🌺 Fluent ~ by John O’Donohue “I would love to live Like a river flows, Carried by the surprise Of its own unfolding.”
Omg...Adelaide in 4 is so darn cute!!! ☺️💕. With the addition of distance learning 3 kiddos, my daily routine hasn’t changed much. Admittedly, I do mentally curse at the computer weekly due to technical frustrations though.😣😜 Not the most tech savvy nor do I particularly enjoy it. Meditation breathing helps me center. I totally relate to 5, but a big part of me meshes with 4. I surround myself with plants, nature, and aromatherapy quite a bit. Therapeutic for me. Thanks for the video(s)! Love them all! 😊👍❤️
I would love a younger mom's perspective on this because even though I COMPLETELY related to the 7, it's a whole different dynamic when you have little ones totally reliant on you for survival 😂 but she spoke to my soul when she said she didn't have a morning routine. I have a VERY loose, rebellious routine. But quarantine has been so hard because before I was ALWAYS out and about with my kids.
I find it hilarious for myself also as an 8 that my life has not changed at all. I work for an essential business and am enrolled in an online master’s program. So nothing whatsoever has been interrupted for me, except that I am constantly sewing masks in my downtime for coworkers.
I think it's cool how the types seem to kind of affect how each person structure their section of the video! Especially in length and detail 😊 super cool!
Yeah, well I'm a nine. And the thing is, I set myself up for less sleep. I get up at 5:00 A.M. every day. And no, I don't go to bed at 9 P.M. . . . I go to bed around 1 or 2 A.M. I am a firm believer that if sleep is a weakness, it should be done less. I can't take naps or lay back down because it literally depresses me for the whole day. As a flaming 9w8 I do not resonate with sleeping. I resonate with isolation. I will get up, shower, put on my boots and dress shirt, and sit in a chair for 5 hours straight on my laptop or something. If I don't get anything done, I still feel better than not being dressed up. In all reality - it's the same situation; just not sleeping. It's being in a calm and quiet environment until I get my head straight. Before COVID, I would get up at 4:30 and then go to the gas station and drink a coffee and a Redbull. I would then light incense and pull my car in front of the ocean and watch the sunrise. (I live in charleston) Then head to work. And I now realize that being up longer means being awake more hours, gaining more knowledge, having an edge on the competition, and just seeing more of life. I know the chance of becoming a human was extraordinarily rare. So sleeping 15 hours would defeat the purpose of that existence.
I find my morning routine to be closer to three. I love to wake up, make my bed, get ready, do yoga, feed the cat, make a sunny side up egg or skip breakfast, and make sure I am doing good with my to do list. 💕
I loved the video, i'm a 9 also but i do wake up a bit early and get things going but definitely i can fall into the self-forgetting part and let habits absorb me. Thanks for the vid.
This has honestly been said so many times now, but 9 is so relatable 😅 I was so surprised when she got up at 8am, but it all made more sense when she went back to bed 😅
I totally relate to the Three. The lists, the lists, the lists! And I laughed out loud that you got to May 4 and were talking about how you have nothing done for May yet. Glad you are doing self care with yoga and things for your mind. Your channel is great Abbey. I also have a RUclips channel, I wonder if it's a three thing too haha
I feel a little better about my inability to do life in the morning after watching this! If my dog wakes me up early I put her out and lean against the door with my eyes closed until she comes back and then I go right back to bed. I will stay in pajamas as long as possible and put them back on as soon as possible. This video was very eye opening because I never put this behavior together as being related to my Enneagram number. I'm so envious of 8s because they seem to really have their lives together and get stuff accomplished.
Great video Abbey!! Try the weighted blanket for better sleep, they really work!! I esp loved the number of women who are starting their day with scriptures, that is awesome!
I’m an 8....yep, no wasting away...getting things done baby! :) I have a STRONG 9 wing though...I wake up early (6:30a) so that I can lounge/read my Bible with coffee and no kid interruptions for a couple of hours before I get everybody goin’...not just myself, everybody! 🤣
Really enjoyed this video Abbey, agree that you should do more like this! I'm a type 8 with a heavy 7 wing, and I actually related to the Type 7 lady more than the Type 8 surprisingly. I don't like routine, so I dont have one.. about the only thing consistent about my mornings is that I'll have to go pee when I wake up 🤷♀️🤣 late at night after the kids are in bed is when I go all Type 8 and get stuff done.
This was so fun to watch! I'm a two and can totally relate to Erin. I try to make sure I still look good for Zoom while I'm taking care of my clients. I'm also a wing three so that probably plays into that too!
@@AbbeyHowe have you noticed that you do this more during the pandemic? Since I've been working from home, I've slept in more. When I had to go into the office, I'd get up, go to the gym, shower, read, and then go to work. I'd be up for hours before I even left for work.
I’m a 3, and the days I have to go into work, I’ve been getting up a little after 6. On days I don’t, I’m getting up between 9-10 (until the last day or two before I have to go back in-then I just spend the whole day and night stressing about getting my sleep schedule back on track so I can be productive at work)
Can you do a nighttime routine for all types? That is the biggest change I made during Quarantine. I would love to see what others do when they prepare for bed.
The editing on the first one was really well done. I wonder if there were people filming her because she was filmed while using both hands to feed her cat
I'm a 9 and an office manager in the non-quarantine world (that's a 9w1 😀). Which means I am always the first one in the office and have had to maintain a very un-9-like morning routine for a long, long time. I have to say that, for the first time since college, I have been living the 9 morning routine dream! I also "wake up" at 6:00am to feed the cats and then go right back to my glorious bed for at least 3 more hours. Should I feel ashamed? No way! I LOVE it! It's going to be tough to go back to work, though...
I’m a nine and yes, I have really really enjoyed sleeping in. I do have three kids, but my husband working from home helps with the older two and then when the one year old wakes up, is when I have to roll out of bed. But it’s still so nice compared to having to drive kids to school by 9 am which to a nine is early hahaha
I’m 9w1, so maybe my 1 comes out in the morning. I love getting up early, I make my coffee, do any dishes left in the sink, eat breakfast, (scroll my phone in between these things) and typically start my work/project for the day. If it’s a weekend or a rare day where I’m just lounging then I’ll linger in bed for a while, but usually I’m up with the sun ready for my day.
Enneagram 5 "Quarantine has not changed my morning routine". Same girl. Same. I wake up and open up my Bible App. I read the verse of the day and then my devotional. Sometimes this leads into research and more reading. I get up and open all the curtains and shades and put some coffee to brew. Now if only I could be more like Vania and add and exercise routine in there I'd probably be better for it. Great video concept Abbey. I really enjoyed watching and learning.
Very good idea Abbey thank you for it and thank you for the participants for letting us peek into their lives! It was very interesting to see how differently we can start the same day! As a type 1+2 I could definitely relate to Erin with the dog except that I have two dogs, two rabbits, two guinea pigs and three children, and also one grandma to take care of... it would be interesting to see what do I do in the mornings... (maybe I'll film myself just to see and than maybe I'll have a better understanding as a 1 why is it so hard for me to do a lot in one day :)
I'm honestly surprised there was basically nothing for us 1's to watch. Btw, I'm not complaining - just to clarify. But while there was almost nothing for the 1, I also understand and appreciate the efficiency in the display of her routine. But my morning routine (when I don't become the unhealthy version, or lean into my 9 wing by procrastinating and scrolling on my phone for an hour+) includes always starting by taking vitamins I keep on my nightstand, making my bed, taking the dogs out to the backyard, then immediately to my bathroom routine -brushing teeth, washing face, and doing skincare routine to fully wake up. Then journaling, self-developing reading with a timer, journaling with a timer, and walking the dogs with a timer. From there it's time to start working.
OMG! My daughter is a 9 and this is EXACTLY her, right down to the cat. I’m a 2 and the first thing I do is get my dog, take her out and then write down my schedule for the day and make sure I’m available for people who might need me. My husband is a 1 and immediately showers, dresses for the day, make “perfect” coffee (exactly measured, highest quality organic fair trade, thermos heated up to keep the coffee warm...) This video is like a Windows into my home!
i'm a type 4, but I feel the speed of my mind in the morning that a 3 does. I often will lay in bed til like noon if I could (a dream world) unless I'm motivated to be somewhere! guess my wing is strong these days cause I'm feeling the anxiousness & realizing the need to center my mind more by doing yoga & and ironically reading Jesus Calling too!! I work in retail, so it's really easy for me to get frustrated or consumed in my mind especially in these times!! When I wake up I definitely don't always make my bed, & I enjoy how Olivia doesn't even show her room!! LOL & I do enjoy setting the atmosphere by laying on my favorite spot on the couch & drink from my favorite mug. :) I 100% don't lean away from being aesthetic driven!!
This is so scary because as a 6, this is EXACTLY what I do! I wake up, wash my face, have coffee, say a mini prayer and look through my to-do list and plan my day. This is me EVERY single morning! Wow!
Watching this video in my bed after pressing snooze four times this morning...I should probably get up, I have work...but right after this...Sincerely a nine. XD
As requested, here are the NIGHT Routines of All 9 Enneagram Types during Quarantine! ruclips.net/video/oKxRKHDl498/видео.html
Yep 8 all the way👌😅💪😂💎
When the nine got up at 8 sharp I was like ... aw man. Can't relate. And then she went back to bed rofl. Yes girl! And taking care of everyone else and forgetting to do fulfilling things for myself.
hehehehe
I decided to sign up for an online class on Shakespeare! thanks for the motivation!
I identify so strongly with her entire part, from getting up to take care of everyone else to forgetting to take care of myself, to the verbal realization that these are probably unhealthy habits, to coming up with a solution that I may or may not actually implement.
Same!
This totally confirms my 9-ness! I get up to make my morning cup of tea and promptly head back to my bed and end up scrolling through my phone--for hours--when I don't have to work.
😂
I am like this even when I do have to work 😅 ah well
Tho I understand that is not very healthy, of course.
as a 9 i’m glad we got to go first for once! 😂
looking out for ya!
Same!
Yes, we are so often last!
Yeah! Also, her reflection of her routine got me right in the gut 😂 lol oooff
Frustrated in 1
As a 9, this made me feel very understood and seen and not so alone in what I’m going through. Thanks for bringing awareness to both the weakness and strength of each enneagram, Abbey!
You're so welcome, Grace! Autumn's 9 section made me feel less alone... I've definitely had some "stay in bed all day" quarantine days.
The NINE was right on. I say that I'm "scrolling to nowhere" and just keep wasting my time - laying in bed. No focus, routine, motivation.
Mary Solomon I’ve been there!!
@@AbbeyHowe I just spoke with a "3" who is having a similar problem as she goes to "9" when stressed.
Yep, same here.
Oh my God same. I just fed my cat too. I was at the same point where im scrolling through my phone and found this video.
The 9 is SPOT ON! I was wary when she woke up at 8 but chuckled when she went back to bed 😂 I get out of bed but only to make coffee and breakfast then lay in bed until approximately noon when I get ready for a workout (some days) or move to the couch to read. Sometimes I squeeze a nap in before that though 🤷♀️ Now I’m back at work and in another term for my master’s, and my 3 in growth is shining hahaha.
this is amazing!! thanks for sharing, Jacea! 💜
That plot twist was 💯
I know that as a 4, this is super overdramatic of me - but I'm SO happy to see there are other 4's in the world and don't feel like I'm the only one like me :) Haha love your channel Abbey!
Thanks Jennifer! ♥️
Yes! I am a 5 and some days I just read for hours before getting out of bed.
Yes, today i woke up at 7:30 and read until 11:30, then i got up😂
Me too!!
As a 5, I relate with this more than the lady in the video. The time I wake up and the time I get out of bed have a wide gap most mornings.
"I find the best spontaneity is born out of a good routine, because if I don’t have a routine I don’t have anything to deviate from!" Yes, so true!
sooo good!
The enneagram 4 seems like such a good mom 🥺
she does!!
That is so kind! I am just a regular mom and am always praying God helps me be a good mom!!❤️❤️
Karlen Wilson how crazy!!! That’s so fun☺️ yes, I highly recommend it! I hope the month leading up to One year is great for you and your little one!!
@@OliviaLove27 Thanks girlie!
Type 4 is SO ME! The wanting to drink out of a cute mug and sit in your favorite spot and read from your pretty Bible 😍 Also the fact that she's a worship arts assistant at her church.. that's like my dream job 😂
9 was so spot on! I laughed throughout watching her because I felt so exposed through someone else 😅😆
And then there's me, a 9 with a crazy amount of assignments and exams ahead of me and slowly dying as I get up at 7 to study my way through the day, thinking of all the sleep I could be getting ...I love you bed, and I promise to come back to you soon!
"I love you bed" 🤣
I'm a five and mine goes something like this: wake up to see the sun, nature, take a stroll or do some easy yoga, binge-listen to videos or ebooks on some topic of my interest, and get to work.
As a fellow 5, same here! 5am wake up, meditation, yoga, reading, sort my animals out and head off to work!
"I set the atmosphere"
"Sit in one of my favorite spots in the house"
Spot on!!
Basically, we need to set the inside and outside mood according to what we're going to do before we start doing them with all the focus and productivity.
heck yes!
My husband is a 4, and he 100% does this "setting the atmosphere" stuff
As a 5 i love hearing about what other people do in the morning and seeing what is/isn’t working for everyone. Thanks for sharing all these experiences!
Olivia said "I don't like oatmeal, I never have" with so much gratitude tho! I know why I have at lot of fours as friends.
As a 9, I can totally relate... now I don’t feel so alone in my laziness 😅😂. Love seeing similar comments from the other 9s here too! 💜
I’d love to see Enneagram night routines during quarantine!
Yesss
Same exact thing, it's just dark outside😅
As a 9 i have to say that i’m forcing myself to be productive in the morning, waking up before 10 and working out! That’s because i know that for the rest of the day i’m soo prone to procrastinate and waste a lot of time scrollin on my phone, so yeah i can relate:/
I hear you!
Saaaaaaaame!!! i am also a 9w1 ... so that wing has me up before 6am .. so I can get a head start at procrastinating on my productivity😅
I have been doing exactly the same thing. Wake up before 9 and workout before somehow wasting the rest of my day.
Tatum i’m also a 9w1!! And yes my “i know this is the right thing to do and i have to do this” helps😂😂🙏🏼
bookworm81196 i have been doing this for 6 days and i already got tired of it help😂😂
So true!
The type 2 morning routine was so life giving and inspiring !
It's interesting seeing how the different personalities come out even in the way their videos are filmed and edited.
The enneagram 4 lady should do ASMR. Her voice is so soft and soothing!
I'm cracking up at 9. The most accurate I've seen lol. I think I've even had that comforter before and I always eat cereal
I get upset when nines are looked at as being lazy!! I wake up and run every single morning and I LOVE feeling productive!
Maybe you're not a nine? I'm a nine and I'm lazy AF.
I’m a 9w1 and relate perfectly to the 9. I also chuckled when I saw the 1 open all the windows because that is the first thing I do when I wake up, followed by coffee and breakfast in bed while I scroll through my phone.
Me too! Im a 9W1 & you described me perfectly!!
oooh breakfast in bed!
Glad you enjoyed it! ♥️ This was one of my favorites to make for my channel and I want to make more!
Are we surprised that Treasure doesn’t have a morning routine 🤣
nope. nobody is surprised. 😂
Disruptive Bee that’s definitely happened before. Not gonna lie 😂
Haha Treasure's made me laugh so much. I'm a 4 but my second highest number in tests is 7 and I think I purposely vary my morning routine (same things, different order) to make each day feel unstructured and unique at the same time. 😂
@@treasurerynerson-tatum6277 is my spirit animal ... (8w7 over here)
8randi this made my day 😂♥️
Love this so much! My eyes got watery watching Olivia's (type 4) video. 🙋 And loved seeing Abbey as Abbey and not as a character!
Faith awww I love this so much. Thanks for your sweet comment, Faith!
As a type 4 I felt so seen by the atmosphere comment. It always seems silly but my favorite mug changes my day.
You're so welcome Moonlady! I hope you eventually get the pet you desire!
Lol I’m a 9 and when she said get up at 8:00 I was like whaaaa and then she went back to bed and I was like oh ok that sounds a lol more right
Claire H. I thought exactly the same thing! Unless I have to work I'm never up that early. 😆
Also how did u find 9 poster children for their types lol
Type 9 is so ON POINT!! When I don‘t work I wake up. Go to the bathroom, eat breakfast and then go back to bed for several Hours. Then I get up and shower and go back to bed or go outside actually
I'm a 9 and even though I wake up at any time between 6:30 and 8 my morning starts when the day hits double digits 😅
oof 6:30 is so early!
I don't even like to speak until 10 no matter what time I got up. Answering questions in the morning is torture.
Yes!!!!!! I wake up at 5:45 because I have two toddlers that hate sleep, but I’m still not even human until at least 10 or 11 😬
Adrienne (Enneagram 1) has an animated greeting but doesn’t smile haha she’s so funny to me! Reminds me of other enneagram 1s I know haha
Michelle Kim I’m friends with her IRL and she’s amazing 😂😂😂
Is coffee the common denominator of all types?
It seems to be!!!
Isn’t that the common denominator of all humans?😂
Lol I need coffee for sanity more than energy. I put so much sugar, plant milk,& creamer in it plus ice. I’m a little bit of most of these so guess I don’t really have a number. 🤷♀️
Type 2 here and I refuse to start my day without my cuppa, hahaha
Enneagram 7w6 -
Absolutely no plans or else I'll feel guilty when I don't do them.
I relate so much to what you said about being a three in the morning-the minute you wake up the first thing on your mind is your to do list!
yes!! it's so annoying 😂
I am a 4 with a 5 wing and can so relate to the other 4 here! I go to bed in my yoga clothes so the next day when I know I would not be motivated to get out of my pajamas, I can still be ready to do yoga 🧘♀️
A few weeks ago, I watched a news clip on RUclips that sent me spiraling - there is a reason I avoid the news!
Then I usually talk to my mother on the phone for an hour (2arrow - and I consider those arrows both good and problematic - my one arrow gets me distracted with perfectionism and teaching all the time, and that 2 arrow can help me stay motivated)
I wake my kids at 10 with quiet connecting conversation about their dreams and the basics of non-violent communication which we call our FNR - feelings, needs, requests)
At 10:30 we do breakfast and devos together.
It’s helping us all feel not rushed (I think rushing is a kind of violence to kids and I hate it - just not beautiful ; ) life should be savored)
Then we disperse to our various tasks. I usually head back to the couch to continue to drink herbal tea, read poetry and non-fiction on how to live a more beautiful authentic life.
Ambiance indeed 🌺

“I would love to live
Like a river flows,
Carried by the surprise
Of its own unfolding.”
Type four here, describing my dream life. Lol
So nothing whatsoever has been interrupted for me, except that I am constantly sewing masks in my downtime for coworkers.
so interesting!!
After watching these I made my bed for the first time in months Hahahaha
hahaha there was a lot of bed making
I think it's cool how the types seem to kind of affect how each person structure their section of the video! Especially in length and detail 😊 super cool!
I also definitely resonate with the 9... doing nothing and trying to label it self-care 😅😅
agreed! that was one of the most fascinating things from editing this
Ok I LOVED this! Would love to see more videos like this ❤️
YAY!! okay I love it so much. I want to make more!
type 9 is spot on and preaching at the end about being intentional about your routine 😂
the fact that the girl who is a 2 started with making her bed.. 😂 i feel understood
I love how type 5 did not tell much but showed instead. I would totally do the same thing.
as a three myself, when you pulled out your planner i FELT that ahaha love this video!!
Stella Yaunches YESSS planner lovers unite!!
I was gonna say what 9 is getting up and at their day at 8am sharp. Nope, we go back to bed until 1pm.
yepppp
But we can wake up at any given hour sharp and that just motivated me 🤯 I have low standards HAHAH
I find my morning routine to be closer to three. I love to wake up, make my bed, get ready, do yoga, feed the cat, make a sunny side up egg or skip breakfast, and make sure I am doing good with my to do list. 💕
ooh that sounds like a good morning
I'm so glad you relate!! Thanks for your kind words. And yay for 3s and RUclips channels!! 🎊 🎉
Im a 3w4 too and read the same devotional and can totally relate!! Crazy how close that was
This was awesome please make more!!
working on a part 2 with evening routines!
Great video Abbey!! Try the weighted blanket for better sleep, they really work!!
I esp loved the number of women who are starting their day with scriptures, that is awesome!
Great idea!!
I really enjoyed the genuineness of this video and real life morning routines!
I'm so glad you enjoyed it! ♥️
Thanks for sharing, Heather! And isn't Erin the best?
@@AbbeyHowe Yes, I want to be friends with her! lol
As a nine, I was like ??? I don't wake up that early 😂😂😂 but then she was like "then I blissfully go back to bed" that makes more sense 😂
More routine and DITL of a 3 plz lol I also am a three and like to watch other people being productive to motivate me for the day.
here you go! ruclips.net/p/PLzfQqRU3ejjfrcTVTdiJfaO0yf0Y8v5aK
Sweet!!
🤣 All the videos were well done - I love how the One enneagram's video had the most fancy editing and almost done "perfectly" haha...
I know I'm a 3, but I relate most with a 7's morning routine. Or maybe a 9. Basically, I wake up 10 minutes before work.
Joshua Gillin 7’s and 3’s have a lot in common I feel like!
I do this too sometimes and I am a 3!
I would love to see what others do when they prepare for bed.
maur2far yes!! Currently working on it. Look out for it early June!
Nine: "lazing = caring for myself" [excuse] spot on! 😅
The editing on the first one was really well done. I wonder if there were people filming her because she was filmed while using both hands to feed her cat
her husband is a filmmaker :)
@@AbbeyHowe oh ok. That makes sense.
This was so good ❤️
Thanks Laurita!
Vania told me she also has tons of books about the anatomy of exercise 😂
Love your videos and your spirit thank you for sharing your light 💞
Thank you so much!
Thanks Barbara! I'm glad you enjoyed it!
Enneagram 6 here (even wing). That’s the exact start I have to my day- down to a T!
The #9 scrolling on the phone in the mornings is so me, lmao.
Erin is instant good vibes and energy 😳💖🌱🌱🌱
I think so too!
9 here... currently watching this video as a part of my “just woke back up and scrolling” part and I relate to that so much
i'm a type 4, but I feel the speed of my mind in the morning that a 3 does.
I'm a 3w2 & the accuracy is too real! 😂
This is so scary because as a 6, this is EXACTLY what I do! I wake up, wash my face, have coffee, say a mini prayer and look through my to-do list and plan my day. This is me EVERY single morning! Wow!
I’m a 9, and as I am watching the 9 in the video crawl back into bed and scroll... I have just crawled back into bed to watch this video 😅😂😂
Watching the enneagram 8 and thinking: People get energy from DOING THINGS?😫😫
I can't believe not having a daily routine is what define Sevens most 😂 I don't have any of it either
Watching this video in my bed after pressing snooze four times this morning...I should probably get up, I have work...but right after this...Sincerely a nine. XD
hehe
