  • Gundam Battle Operation 2 Gameplay featuring the Moon Gundam on the new resort map. The Moon was recently buffed to tighten up it's kit and finally relinquish it's weakness to beam damage, drastically improving it's bulk thanks to the ability to diversify builds now that lvl4/5 beam resist is no longer mandatory. The new map has intense close quarters fighting with tight clusters of buildings with some narrow corridors that can result in some brief windows for long range fire. The mixture of building heights also presents a variety of opportunities for aerial combat, but also counter fire. That said the ground bound units movement is more limited and predictable in that regard. Because of the high frequency of cornering on the map, at 700 at least the moon can be an invaluable asset for pushing with it's funnel plate shields. It' s ability to launch attack funnels straight ahead and through allies is also valuable for fighting around the more open areas as the map directs fights into cramped spaces where you otherwise cannot easily aim past allies. Though the butterfly edges do suffer in general utility due to the abundance of cover and cramped space, the moon gundams otherwise impactful melee knockdown and funnel combos allow it flexible use for the map, and the cover can allow it to survive long enough to allow it's defence plates to recover, greatly prolonging it's longevity. I'd say it would be weak vs all xi's on the map, but in other compositions it is a strong contender. That said the map itself has the tendency to result in attacks on the base, with strong cover for attackers to utilise to attack spawning enemies as well, this results in a number of matches where allies will go off alone to base bomb as well as frequent spawn camping halfway through a match in spite of the maps size.
