Definitely the best album so far in 41 yrs. Thankfully they got started thanks to classified ads!!!! Lars was lookin for someone to jam with and James answered the ad, and the rest is history. way to go guys you kick ass!!!!!!!
I went and saw this concert in Seattle WA. Back when I was 16 in 1989. This was my first Mettalica concert and it was so great!!! IMO Master of Puppets is still my favorite album.
You are among the lucky ones. Imo that was the best Metallica concert I have seen and I watched mostly everything available online. Saw them live once in Zagreb but that was some 10 years ago, way past the glory days :)
Double bass pedal was the selling point for me. Thrash metal on its best. Dyers eve still makes me insanely pumped up every single time I listen to it... lol...
I’m in deep thought and I’m hoping to stay here for the night. The next conscious moment I see, will be the sun ☀️ rising!! Endless Metallica tonight!!!
Began listening to these guys in 84, I was just 12, right before lightning was released. Wouldve loved to seen em on the Puppets tour with Master on bass, but got to see em on the justice tour, front row with Jamez. A sad feeling was felt without Cliff, think everyone who listened before the Justice lp felt it.
The Best Metal band ever, Back in the mid 80,s I had a friend named "Gonzo" Mike Gonzales who played the lead guitar just like the lead guitarist on Metallica...In Farmington,NM.
Thousands of years from now..... there will be very few remaining. Let us take solace in knowing that they will find the writings and performance of the chosen ones. ...And Justice for All
Tbh most of the metalheads I knew from back in the day no longer have that sort of view on music. Many of them have a much, much broader taste in music these days, myself included. Metallica from Ride through to S&M will always be up there as one of my top metal bands, hell I even love Load and Re-load. Can't get into Kill em All these days though, just sounds too unpolished for me now, though some of the tracks are great, the sound quality sorely needs updating.
It was the Black album! That’s how you can tell true fans...those that like Metallica b/c of the black album and those that like Metallica despite the black album.
Such good times when this album was released. I had the original vinyl. It seems vinyl is making a slow comeback in m area, but I don't think it will reflect the early days of metal.
Someone recently got a huge number of views from a song they did called 'What if Iron Maiden wrote Enter Sandman?' I have a better idea - what if Metallica wrote Enter Sandman.
When I was young I didn't get the political message they were sending I just thought hell yeah this ROCKS! Funny how now that I'm older I see the message and I think f*** this ROCKS EVEN HARDER!!
I would say it’s the first sell out album because of the videos which they said would never happen but it is the first venture into theatrics which suited them well and great for them
Come for me cousin. Thanks for the songs and yes your a good with me for sure and you know that 100 present. I'm a hetfields too people. We never loose
I don't really notice any difference from the original version on the album. What's remastered. You can't remaster a Masterpiece. The only remastered versions of this album that have been any good are the ones where Jason's bass has been bumped up a few notches so that you can actually hear it.
Artist rerelease albums to actually get paid for the songs themselves. Record companies own the rights and collected the bulk of profit. They do this to many albums by throwing cash at them early on but the real value is in owning the rights to your own music. Bottom line it’s better to own your music and only sell 100,000 records than to sell 1,000,000 and not own your own shit.
From cliff??? I don't think so. Cliff showed Metallica how to be. Musically. He allowed them structure. Jason is a very talented bass player but, not the best that metallica has ever had.
The rest of the band were assholes to Jason, but I believe it came from a place of grief rather than straight malice. Jason was in no way a match for Cliff in the style of music, but I believe Jason suited what the band became far more than Cliff would have. If they still had him, they probably would have never left the thrash genre, make of that what you will. Trujillo on the other hand is an absolutely phenomenal bassist for funk style metal, his skills are largely wasted on what Metallica do, I just don't think it's a great fit. But from his perspective, it's a hell of a cushy retirement fund lol.
Yes I am conflicted with just which truly was just musicsly better with just more just as good if not better songs than Master of Puppets and I know that is not going to be every persons opinion but danm this is solid hard better guitar solo's from Kirk and this album has more important topics that were addressed but it's lyrics do sound like as of Dave Mustsine wrote the words we all know his core messages are almost always political

Queensryche was better.

I'm 47 & this album still hits me like I'm 16 again. Best metal album ever followed by Slayer South of Heaven & then Puppets third.
Love the choices
In my opinion THE greatest metal albumn. This albumn changed my life at 12 years old
Double bass pedal was the selling point for me. Thrash metal on its best. Dyers eve still makes me insanely pumped up every single time I listen to it... lol...
@@nikpredom7095 ,,,,,A boy likes them ,,"Matalllics".
Amen. Bro
Definitely .... damn near same thing for me
I think for me, it's a tough choice between this or Master. Both albums got me through some very tough times in my college days.
This album is amazing! I love listening to it start to finish!
Work of Art
No. Fuckin. Doubt....Prediction or Anticipation?love u

Great classic metallica album from front to back...

That's a tough call Judas Priest in my opinion is 1st and Metallica 2nd
I see why other people in the comments tote this as the best. The whole album is just one banger after another! Woah!
Still listening, SOUNDS GREAT METALLICA..
Justice album the best album of all time!!! Fuck yeah, Metallica always kicks major ass!!!!🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
Lars definitely gets it done on this album. The band as a whole collaborates unlike no other. Metal gods. Rock on metallica
Thousands of years from now..... there will be very few remaining. Let us take solace in knowing that they will find the writings and performance of the chosen ones. ...And Justice for All
This Album is the Best Drum Work, of Lars Ulrich...\m/
Master of Puppets is tied with this. Both are unfathomably perfect timing.
I need to rethink my belief that Lars is an awful drummer. This is by far my favorite band next to Darkest Hour.
I was only 17 when I was noticing how dope this album is . 1989 the year of the dirts. Cool kids ruled indeed, not this ❄️bs of modern day
Nice album,have it since
91/92,But the 1st 3 albums were UNBEATABLE!!!
Моя молодость.
Great album for these times.
💯
Metal....love music.....
I think they rock. Especially, I think you rock.As long as we agree.
We rock in our heads connected thru wifi
All the real metalheads in my highschool in the 90's looking at the jocks who now "love Metallica" after this album, with disdain.
Tbh most of the metalheads I knew from back in the day no longer have that sort of view on music. Many of them have a much, much broader taste in music these days, myself included.

The last album of the best, this is their last album as far as i'm concerned!!

When I bough this twenty some years ago. I assumed this was about politics bye looking at the album cover. WOW!!!! I was surprised.

Lord Shiva approves I think.
I was the 666th person to like this - how metal is that?!🙂🤘
Penak tenan....
As if Satan is cool .... 🤡
Polecam metallica
Jason was there best bass player bar none
From cliff??? I don't think so. Cliff showed Metallica how to be. Musically. He allowed them structure. Jason is a very talented bass player but, not the best that metallica has ever had.
I’m sorry but he replaced Cliff A Little Respect Please

What the fuck man metallica ain't dead dude
My neighbor called the police because i was listening this album at a very high volume. The police came and took him...
I can think of nothing that would send him of better! Lol
Hell ya call on me and hope y'all have the same fate
people ask why there isn't bass on And Justice For All. Well, Metallica's bass player was under the bus
Icons 4 life no doubt but pantera set a NEW LEVEL
...of confidence...
