Most cars with electric fans run after ignition off when the weather is hot, to continue the cooling. It goes off when the temperature is below the thermostat switch temp. It normally doesn’t reach those temps in normal weather.
From my experience if the fan pri resistor is faulty, corroded, falling apart then the fan will not operate but with the fan running continuously could possibly be the water temp switch issue! which I think is fiddly to replace, it is on the Abarth.
@@marinobottali7823 when I’ve had faulty ones in the past they either don’t run at all or they run on full speed. You could be right about the temperature sensor which is in the thermostat but it does have a new thermostat so probably not that. Still waiting for resistor to come to try it.
That one went a little bit on the steep side for me when I priced/bid on it! Needs: Service Radio surround/vents 2x Rear shocks Discs and pads Tyres Pass wing Rear N/S light Dent in boot New dash cover + Vent Ignition +keys etc Drivers door glass N/S bumper trim 2x Lower arms Tracking… from what I can gather! Will make good content tho… MoT in April Sold in May then stolen!…. Needs to be called ‘Lucky’
My fan stayed on after the engine was off when I was low on coolant as my thermostat housing sprang a leak, happened a couple of times and I found it really strange.
Wow, timing is good 😮. Over the past few days I have also noticed the fan was running fast when the engine was running, okay it's hot weather at the minute, and it kept running at a slower speed after the engine was turned off. So I decided to have a look and then I noticed that I have a leak where the top hose is connected to the radiator. Empty expansion tank and engine. This pipe was changed before, dont think it's a Fiat item ,because of a leak at the thermostat side. So I have been running the car on practically no coolant in hot weather.... what a plank 😢. I can't find,(if there is one, ) a bleed screw on the engine,it's a 1.4 so it's not close to the brake servo like the 1.2 litre engine .
I’m waiting for a new resistor to come in case it’s that but I did have to top up the coolant as it was below minimum. I haven’t been out in it since so hopefully it’s something as simple as that.
loving waffle wednesdays

Do road tax check. Date expired day was half inched. Just watched that still taxed. So ignore that.
If your secret project is a 124 then it ticks the box for your pre retirement midlife crisis:)
I wish it was. If I manage to get one of those it won’t be getting sold
