Cool theory on rebirth (Jenova / White materia). It actually seems credible. Aerith's look in the lake scene is really super creepy. It might be because of the green color but still...
For the Sephiroth at the end of the EC trailer, I think that chapters 7 and 8 of FS will conclude an arc, and that the Sephiroth that we see is after a time jump. It could be CC's Seph besides he seems to have shorter hair than rebirth Seph. I could see them finishing this FS arc and then focusing on CC (so late). Either they end FS there, or they continue FS with a time jump and it would happen in parallel with CC.
If Nomura truly plans to use the entire compilation, I would have to say Aerith is not as alone as we think. The planet/lifestream whom with she communicates could be helping her or Minerva herself could be using Aerith as an avatar and Aerith herself is benefiting from not only her power as a Cetra but from some of the powers of a Goddess. We also got teased that the white feather at the beginning of Rebirth may actually have been Angeal's. The rest of compilation will most likely come in the finale which of course now includes Genesis who has been granted salvation by Minerva/planet and been healed of his degradation.
I think Glenn is Cloud's father and as time goes on more evidence will present that. The story of First Soldier is not just of Sephiroth's origins, but also Cloud's origins which means his father and possibly his mother. The First Soldier Story won't be the only new compilation story we get. I do think Rosen and Refu will leave with Glenn and party, Rosen will become a refugee of Wutai and will not forgive the murder of his people and will play a role in part 3.
I like the Glenn is Cloud's father theory. Him being Lodbrok. Basically a descendant of Ragnar Lodbrok from Norse mythology. The line of viking heroes. And that will make Cloud a Lodbrok as well. Comes full circle with all the Norse myth references. Niblhemeim Midgarsomr, Midgard. etc. I'll even go as far to theorize that the last title will be FF7: Ragnarok. Meteor has to happen, and Holy or the white materia will be used for something else. Maybe they'll trap Seph in a dying timeline, with the help of the Gi, so they can all end and no coming back from the lifestream for sephiroth if there is no planet. Or they'll go full cyberpunk plus ancient tribe, put the relics of the Gi on a ship, along with Seph's actual body inside a crystal, the relic acts as chains to trap seph's essence and everything, all heading towards the meteor. before it hits Gaia. boom dead Gi, dead Seph. too far away from the planet, and all timed exactly by Aerith that the planet is covered with Holy acting as protect, no malevolent spirits come in, no debrit from the exploded meteor ,no chance for seph to comeback from lifestream.
@@ReidusQuitzed That's some pretty interesting theory. I like it, Cloud survived being impaled and was able to throw Sephiroth against the reactor wall sending him falling into the reactor pool of mako. There had to be something special about Cloud.

The glenn thing is so interesting to me! I do think he's physically dead, but I think Seph is kinda keeping him alive. I think we are going to find they are linked. Maybe Seph at the end of first soldier needs to save Glenn and uses his jenova cells, not unlike what Genesis wanted. I think Glenn is honestly helping Seph. so interested!!!

My theory of Sephiroth using Aerith as a Jenova clone/hallucination to break and manipulate Cloud is seeming more plausible now.
In Rebirth when Rufus saw Glenn for the first time in the game. There's a quick flashback of Rufus shooting Glenn. I wonder if that will be in Ever Crisis?
I"m also strongly in believe the aerith we saw by water was jenovith, but one seen by plane is actually her spirit. that we'll continue to see both and it'll sow mistrust in what's real and what isn't. The reason why i think specifically this one scene and only this one scene was not aerith, was the sinister tone of music, and the way the cinamatography potrays her from a dark angle. and fact she appeared so conviniently to prevent cloud from remember true set of events that happened at alter. She also didn't speak at all and her stare was so unsoft like, compared to how she behaves by plane where we we see aeriths more natural manorisms.
I also think white whispers are definitely aerith controling em, but not beagle aerith. lifestream aeriths (plural)
We learned in rebirth that while there are many worlds, there is only one planet/lifestream parenting worlds. Quite similar to norse yggdrassil lore in a way of a single world or tree that spawns a multiverse within it of sub worlds. But going back to singular lifestream. We have seen sephiroth is present as ONE entity in all of worlds, and that's because he's dead in all worlds and only manifests in living worlds through his connection to jenova infused bodies. Therefor his collective conciousness is unified.
Aerith's power throughout game is limited because shes not unified or dead in all worlds. But some of her are. in particular, i think OG timeline (as in OG 1997-advent children etc) aerith is very dead, as is OG sephiroth (amonst all hs other selves) and i think it's them that sort of set the events of re-verse in motion. Prior to ending of remake the many words are bound by what's supposed ot happen, so while many words exist they all follow same event threads. Same story playing out over and over. So you can imagine sephiroth is tired of losing and baits us into defying fate. Aerith actually hesitates at first btw, if you recall, because she probably subconciously knew the ramifications of defeating fate, but then quickly changes mind again because probably also realized it works both ways.
Anyways long sort of it is. once the whispers are broken from the being the arbitors of fate and planet, sephiroth hijacked them, but he's not the only one that did so. But of course aeriths strength over them is far more limited...until more of her start to die that is. In fact she active tries to stop party from reaching alter too. You see this in her alternate self too that runs cloud around midgar. she knows what she must do. Unify all her conciousness into lifestream as well. only then can she handle sephiroth.
and if you still don't believe in unified conciousness theory. Watch the scene where aerith's talking to sephiroth right before black materia chamber. You can hear many aerith voices overlapping as she briefly taps into her other conciousnesses in close proximity to lifestream.

In OG it's JENOVA body part that falls down and mutate into JENOVA LIFE not White Materia. It happens everytime party encounter it. Ofc it is now retconed in Remake etc. but you talked about Original so there you have.

Not necessarily the white materia in Jenova's mid section. Even the weapon had a huge materia in their mid section. It just might be something else that is connected to the life stream. Beacuse Jenova is part of the Life stream so are the weapons.
i think that jenova theory is same or absorb aerith is a strecth. but we dont know the truth right now ofc

It is more like merge than link maybe? Based on the changes it looks like mobile game and console counterpart could merge in part 3?
One thing I just noticed. Glenn in Rebirth looks way older than he should be, if he really was killed by Rufus. So unless Jenova can fake the age of a person, I think that Glenn survived the attack and is either alive or died later.
Don't ignore the story and imagine what's happening.
Like other RUclipsrs, you completely ignore Marlene, ignore Zack getting Cloud a cure, ignore scenes where Cloud shows improvements compared to OG, ignore Zack being alive yet again but INSIST Aerith is dead. Cloud sees Seph all the time, and no one questions his sanity. Why isn't Biggs Jenova, just to F with Zack? See, you don't have a theory. You just have fanfiction. Go watch Seph throw blood on Aerith, and tell me he didn't fake her murder, like he faked Nibelheim.
That's a lot of story to ignore while pretending you have special insight about the plot.
@robertjones3488 Those are good points you make there. Let's not forget that the white materia wasn't glowing green like in the original where they point out that Aerith was successful at summoning Holy bc it was glowing green. The only thing that might be true is the Holy materia embedded in Jenova's chest. I also highly doubt all the trouble they went through to change the events in Remake were for nothing....Everything seems to be connected....
Yeah I think only thing might be true is that Holy is activated and it is trapped inside; but it does not mean Aerith has to die in order to activate Holy in the first place...
