Love this place. Looks so organic with all the wood and natural light, full of character! Not this terrible "sterile" studio spaces that look like in a hospital. I'm happy for Henrik.
Henrik is a freak and the word freak here is used in the most respectful manner you can imagine. Love this man's creation to the fullest. thanx a lot, another little freak's speaking ;)
From someone in the midst of their studio build this video resonates with me and inspires me so fully. Thankful for your welcoming the world into your space 🙏🏼
An extraordinary artist, an exceptional producer, an astonishing live-performer, a true technology and studio geek. Thank you Mr. Schwarz for your amazing musical output!
Your standards must be very low. Wanna know my standards? AFX, Brian Eno, Ennio Morricone, John Carpenter, Ludwig van Beethoven, Frédéric Chopin.... just a few real extraordinary examples. Good day.
Nice so this is a vintage AUDIOS? They announced a revival 1 or 2 years ago, but I've never seen one in the wild. Didn't know that it was used on Star Wars as well, I only knew about the use of a Marshall Time Modulator for Darth Vader's voice.
Schwarz is an exceptional artist and dj. I've watched his cercle gigs a million times and I hope lots of other people enjoy them as much as me cos they're better than drugs :D

Amazing studio. How inspiring. When you send sounds out into your analog gear and then back into Ableton live doesn't it introduce latency and how do you compensate it?
Ableton does it and it mostly works fine. You can also adjust the latency for external devices separately for each device. Sometimes if all goes wrong with timing I might record the external hardware as an audio stem and put it to the correct position.
@Henrik Schwarz On the desk in the middle is it just a screen connected to the MacBook on the right? Or is it another computer? (if so - how is it connected to the rest?)
maybe I can: Main Stereo Out from the LIO-8 goes to the Trinnov room correction. Then to Barefoot speakers. Volume is controlled by a midi Device that controls the monitor level inside LIO-8. Second Monitor Out goes to amp goes to small speakers. All hardware devices have their own stereo converters for in and out and are treated like insert plug ins in DAW. All Synths go to one of two small mixers that go to one of the soundcards. Hope this helps.
@@sundaymusicBerlin Hello!…I know this is a late inquiry… but I was wondering if each of the MH 2882 converters that you have chained to the LIO-8 absolutely need the 3D expansions in order to talk to each other over Ethernet. Thank you so much for showing us around your studio. Beautiful creative space.. I’ve been a fan for many years ❤️✌🏼🙏🏼🎛
9:21, correct - those both units are full digital 16/44.1, not analog, I know it for the fact, just sold MO/FX, cause it was too heavy for me and I used just a delay:), cool items made in Canada ca 2000, the company went bankrupt long time ago btw
I'm going to be honest , did not know Henrik and literally started watching the video because that beautiful imager that caught my eye in the first few seconds and then at the very end he just goes "This is the visual thing" lol. I mean he seems like a nice guy and I got to see A LOT of other cool stuff but it's driving me crazy right now...
I would love to share these as well. However they are pretty complicated at this stage. I might do an extra video soon to explain how they work and what's inside. So maybe you might be able to build one yourself. Hopefully some bigger Manufacturer like Akai, NI or Ableton would like to work on the idea.
Hi Henrik, I got two questions for you. With all that hardware. Did you encounter any issues with ground loop noise? And do you have any tips on battling this phenomenon?
actually no problems so far with ground loops at all. All studio gear including my computer is connected to the same 2 supply circuits that are separate from everything else.Hope this helps...
the routing is flexible. I put them in wherever I need them. All hardware devices have their own converters for stereo in and output so I can route them in software.
true! Sorry i forgot to talk about it. It is for sure one of the best sounding reverbs out there. BUT it is maybe not really necessary to own one unless you are working on some pure acoustic production. I am using Liquid Sonics Seventh Heaven and Reverberate a lot as well because it sounds very similar to the M7 to my ears. The Bricasti device has a touch more depth to it but Liquid Sonics software is really good as well for my taste.
@@sundaymusicBerlin Just curious Henrik, you mentioned that there aren't any good sounding software reverb as PCM-90, have you tried Valhalla's products, arent' those quite good in emulating PCM-90 and other legends?
You could pick up a decent Rhodes for less than $500 not too long ago and can still find working ones for under $1,000 if you look long enough. The og Prophet , not so much…
@@sundaymusicBerlinThanks for taking the time to put this video together. Inspiring content and inspiring space! I would love to see more about your routing process, going in and out of the computer, and how you build up sounds… both in terms of a production environment and a live environment. I am also excited to see what you come up with regarding your controller designs. Pretty amazing!

what a beautiful studio. That must be such an inspiring place to work.

Great studio and music production philosophy 🔝 all with care
Seen him in Detroit and Berlin, and it's always a pleasure when he is at the helm!
Amazing interview! Please more of this, henrik IS an alquimist❤
brilliant man! loved to see stimmings device again and the teensy diy controller work, big up!
It’s not Stimmings Mastering chain, it’s a FMR RNC1773.

Cant wait for Shwarzonator! But why you discounted M4L device version, Henrik? I cant download it anywhere now, so frustrating
Super nice video and very intresting studio! Really enjoyed it!
Dream Studio. Wow.
Henrik: Here are the prototypes for my new products.
Behringer: you mean *our* new products!
Fascinating - Thanks for this!

What an inspiring studio, thank you for the tour. Zoned spaces, all ready to go with automation - maybe Henrik is a friend of BT? 😄
Wow! Lovely space to create in.

How to make the automation to turn the ssl fusion on?!

any chance that matrix 1000 tool henrik wrote is in the wild anywhere?
there was also hidden a Behringer Model D... i seen it on more shots. Is that a shame to mention that between the other synths?? :D :D :D

Anyone know what the visual oscillocope thingy on the desk is called?
it's a correlation meter
