In the woods, you should've switched to 30Hz to see better. You have to change frame rate for better sensitivity.
Lag doesn't exist on 90Hz and is almost unoticeable at 60Hz, the so-called lag which most people report is the shutter angle being 360° at all times. Which means you see motion blur, that's not the same as lag. Opsin at 90Hz has like a 2ms delay, that's invisible for the human eye.
Best settings for high light: 90Hz, EV set to -2/-2.5, 2D noise off, NUC off and night color mode.
Best settings for low light: 30Hz, EV set to +2/2.5, 2D noise on, NUC on and monochrome mode.
I'll suggest also using the ROI setting since is helps with dynamic range issues. I will also suggest purchasing the new 1050nm flashlight that SiOnyx sells.

Can you please share your mounting set up? Any benefit of going binocular with opsin?

@@freshofftheplane I think you can bridge two with a mount from Lion's Gear Solutions, but SiOnyx are already working on new products so I'll suggest waiting. Perhaps they are going to release a dual version soon.

@@freshofftheplane, the mounting set up is a Wilcox G24 mount and Wilcox shroud on the helmet. As @DjAlonDevil stated, Lion’s Gear Solutions has some options for setting up a bino with the OPSIN. However, I wouldn’t make it into a bino setup since you can’t power both units from one battery source like a dedicated binocular system, at least currently. You would need two power cables and two battery packs for two OPSINs. Or you could set up a bino with the Aurora and an OPSIN if you have an Aurora.

Price dropped to $1995. I like to turn off the noise reduction all the time.
