Dude!! You solved the low audio issue i had!(Playing games like TLOU On my monitor) Unchecked dolby digital 5.1 etc all except was what required to be checked and its at full volume now!! Thanks in 2024!! Better solved than adults on Google!
Wow! Major props to this kid! This totally fixed my problem. I got an hdmi splitter for my ps3 due to that bs hdcp issue. Lots of vids talk about bypassing that problem but under many vids, everyone having sound issues. This one solution really helped.
I moved my PS3 from an upstairs bedroom to the living room as I wanted to play Red Dead Redemption again after completing Red Dead Redemption II for a second time. It worked perfectly fine on the TV in the bedroom but no sound on the TV in the living. This fixed it. Thanks!

If none works, turn off ps3 from back, turn off tv and unplug hdmi from ps3 and tv, turn on ps3 and tv then plug in the hdmi cords! Worked for me ! :D
