Another excellent video! It always pleases me when I see a new video from you pop up. Congrats on the bear sighting.

Thank you! It pleases me to know that my videos please you. Oddly enough, that was the first bear I've ever seen in several trips to the Smokies, so I was happy to end the trip that way.

Thank you! This was my first non-day hike in the Smokies, but it certainly won't be the last. I hope you can get out there some time. Thanks for the sub! Subbed to you, too.

Many apologies for the late reply upon the release of this video, but again, I am blown away by the quality you release showcasing each adventure you embark on. This video in particular makes me excited for our upcoming trip this next week! You caught the Smokies at a beautiful yet rugged time. That wind looked super brutal. Love your narration and macro shots of all the taxonomy you identify along the way, some of my favorite things about your channel. I heartily agree that that sunset had to be once in a lifetime moment. Unreal colors along that horizon. Keep up the amazing work!

Thank you, I really appreciate the feedback and kind words! I'm glad you're looking forward to the trip. I'm pumped!
The wind was crazy, but it was well worth it. That sunset and the walk back to camp were unforgettable. I wish I had more/better footage of the full moon, but I'm happy with the way the video turned out. I'm glad you enjoyed it.

Just ran across (and subscribed to) your channel, and I was delighted by your Cades Cove/Rocky Top video! Brought back some wonderful memories of my Anthony Creek-Bote Mtn-AT-Russel Field loop hike about a year ago (sadly, I hadn't the time to fit in Rocky Top on that trip) . As someone who loves backpacking and the outdoors in general (the Smokies in particular), I enjoyed the thought you put into composition -- the beautiful and often haunting imagery combined with commentary whose choice of phrasing makes it so evocative of the peace, beauty and grandeur of the experience. In fact, it inspires me to put more effort into the vocabulary/descriptive narration for the backpacking videos on my channel! I also appreciated your sharing a little of the natural history of the area. I look forward to watching more of your videos! Thanks! (Graybeard, @sylvanreflections).
