Excellent review. I can tell how much time and effort it takes. Thanks for the shoutout. I just went and double checked, mine is 20%. But I checked yours as well. It's also 20% Unless I did my math wrong. 😎 I do remember seeing something about 15% But I don't know. The code I had was 20% and I got it before they did the affiliate program. I think the affiliate program is brand new.
This is the best watch channel on youtube. Great watch talk with heaps of research. Also, HUGE props for sending his viewers to another channel so we can save more money? INCREDIBLE HUMAN right here.
Just bought this in 2024 and its now my fave watch. Its actually DIFFERENT! Not a homage to a homage to a homage or the usual stuff that is overdone currently.
I really like the design of the watch, but have some questions about the innerbasel workings. At 6:18 you see the basel moving up and down. But a great looking watch specialy for the price.
I had a Spinnaker Fleuss which I sold since most of my straps didn't fit. Wish they would tell us we need curved lugs for any other strap besides the supplied one. Was a nice watch but didn't like their customer service response when I had the issue. The distortion annoys me on this watch but to each his own. As for affiliates - a worker deserves his wages. Thanks for the honest review!
That's interesting, I haven't had any trouble getting different straps on my Fleuss. I wonder if they changed something. I've put it on NATOs, a rubber strap from Cheapest Nato Straps, and a few other leather ones without issue.
Everyone has to make a living as soon you keep your integrity on your reviews i don't see any issues Since you are in Japan find some cool Seiko that we dont get in the U.S. Of course on your budget Thank you i enjoy your video's
I totally agree with Fabrizio. Your reviews seems to be honest and informative. First class content, video + sound quality and editing. Well done. Keep on doing, but please include some affordable JDM watches, too.
I'm trying to get up to speed on the JDM Seiko's, I really want to start checking them out. But it seems like most of the ones that people are interested in are around $300 and up, so it's a sizeable investment for me. Definitely want to try to get some featured though.
Great review! I have a Bradner with blue starburst dial and simply love it!! It actually gets more comments than some of my other watches that I thought would get comments and do not.
It looks great on both, but I feel like the tropic rubber makes more sense with a dive watch, plus it's starting to heat up here, and I try to avoid leather straps in the more humid months.
I love your channel Dave and I'm late catching up on this one. There seems to be a touch of Pelagos in the hands and dial which isn't quite so pronounced as the Tudor. It's actually a more interesting watch than the flat front shots for advertising show. To date I have bought three Spinnakers with your channel being the driving force between those. I have The Wreck, The Fleuss and the Hull California Dial Chronograph on a Jubilee bracelet. That is just the best. Thank you belatedly for an excellent review. Love from England and thank you for your honesty. 👍🙏🏻🏴
Man love all your reviews! Never had the opportunity to play or even see a spinnaker in the flesh, therefore I rather not give my personal opinion until I get to do that! Keep it up.
It's really growing on me. Typically when I get a new watch in I wear it for a week before the review, and after the review is over I go back to my normal rotation. Today it was warm and sunny, and I found myself reaching for the Bradner yet again.
Hopefully you get to read this, my question: regarding the crown used to rotate the bezel, Is it screwed down to avoid water entering? or How do they prevent water from entering through that particular mechanism?
If I recall the bezel crown was not screw down but crown for setting the time was. Not sure how exactly it maintains water resistance, but it's rated for 180 meters.
I haven't tried the original version so I'm not sure. The bouncing is something I didn't notice until I saw the macro footage I recorded. But after seeing that then I started to notice it. But it's still a pretty minor thing when looking at it with the naked eye.
I have a bigger issue with the lume applied to the seconds hand, to be honest. Regarding the bezel wobble it seems to wobble while rotating, by fall into it's resting place as soon as you stop turning the crown.
Does the bezel crown push/pull to lock or does the crown move why you bump the crown?!? Not sure if you covered this or not... (how the bezel locks into place.
Yeah, that's probably something I should have mentioned. The bezel crown doesn't lock, so it's possible to bump it and have the bezel move. I haven't had this happen yet, but I could see how if you were using it for actual dive timing it would be a concern.
I have a question. Has anyone ever heard about the watch brand Omax? I knew it since i was a kid and even used to wear one quartz piece. But none of the youtubers have revieved it.
I know it was a Swiss brand, and probably got into some difficulty with the quartz crash late 70's ( now they are sold new, by atleast one Dutch investor ) a bit like the "INVICTA" story first a original Swiss brand.. couldn't cope with the quartz crash and sold their brand name to some entrepreneurs.
I gotta say the idea of a "summer watch" makes no sense to me. I KINDA get it when a watch is in super bright colors or something, cause people tend to wear brighter outfits in summer that go better with those, but in this case I don't see how season would have anything to do with this watch at all.

Lol. Well that's cool. The site said it was a 15% code when I signed up, so I never thought to verify. Thanks for double checking!
@@JusttheWatch You're such an honest guy. Congratulations.

Mighty nice to recommend using another discount code even if it means losing out on commission. Integrity. Kudos.

I appreciate the candor so much. Very refreshing and impressive.

Thanks guys, appreciate the input. If I ever look like I'm selling out, call me out!

I will definitely go with the rubber one.

Really upping the game lately. Very well put together video. Enjoyed it!
Thanks Bob! Always enjoy your videos as well!
very nice! i love the retro look!

The spinnaker tropic rubber strap looks a lot like the strap on my alpina seastrong
I like your honesty .also like the watch.

Anyone noticed the sticker on the rotor? I was so close to take Spinnaker for a serious Chinese brand...
5:55 I really don't like that inner bezel hot it bounces up and down as you turn it. Did previous version had this bounce too?
I haven't tried the original version so I'm not sure. The bouncing is something I didn't notice until I saw the macro footage I recorded. But after seeing that then I started to notice it. But it's still a pretty minor thing when looking at it with the naked eye.
@@JusttheWatch so basically you can't unsee it after that macro footage :)
I have a bigger issue with the lume applied to the seconds hand, to be honest. Regarding the bezel wobble it seems to wobble while rotating, by fall into it's resting place as soon as you stop turning the crown.
Why does the bezel "jump" when been spined? that doesn´t look good..
Does the bezel crown push/pull to lock or does the crown move why you bump the crown?!? Not sure if you covered this or not... (how the bezel locks into place.

Great one. Spinnaker watches rock.

I haven't, but then again I'm still pretty new to the hobby, so I'm definitely not up to speed on non-current brands.
@@JusttheWatch thanks for the reply. The brand is still out there but its not as famous as it used to be.
Nice Review! Thank You!

it is too thick to be slid under a jacket's sleeve/cuff, hence a summer a watch, when you are wearing the watch while you are not wearing any jackets
