1. Its hard to pick a favorite. Havent tried the inferno 2.0 yet but i have really been enjoying perilous moons, hunter rumours, and the new thieving activities. Knocked out 50 rumours, then 50 KC on the Moons, and 2 thieving levels. Plan on doubling that all this next week. Loving this update. 2. I would guess they had to pay more, newer content and with inflation being a thing and all. That said, i dont know too much about high level PVM so i doubt i could even make a guess as to what the actual cost would be. Thanks for the update video, appreciate ya king!
I see I’m not alone in spending over two hours on two tasks, but not finishing the second because I said fuck this. Never again. Funny that I reported a bug to them and then two foxes later I get the drop……I say we just keep reporting.
for ppl who dont know, you should always skip or block any deadfall rumours ( foxes,kebits...), from my testing its minus 40-50% overall xp I think moons were the best content from this update, even with the boss flickering. Rumours are alright for me but id do anything for pet. Colloseum seems to me like lost opportunity for something better then another content with pray flicking/switching and off-ticking at its core, especially when boss utilise overheads with just one mechanic. Wish the waves were more like Heredit, movement and positioning over braindead clicking between prayer icons.
Don't skip any kebbit task. Have a novice or adept give you a dashing or black kebbit task where you hunt with the bird. Everyime you get a deadfall kebbit or where you need the noose you go back to the adept/novice and get the dashing/black task. Grab the unique, switch to the expert task and you can get your rewards, all kebbit shares the same unique, you can cheese this, have been speedrunning tasks with this while having pyre foxes and kyatts blocked on the adapt tasks.
Loving Perilous Moons, the new hunter contracts now that the drop rates are more reasonable (actually feeling really motivated after learning the meat sack can be good for prolonging trips, and might even finally do forestry and try to get that log sack as well). Really sad that the Colosseum is Inferno difficulty when it was advertised more like in between Caves and Inferno depending on the wave. No upgraded proselyte for me I guess!
I would say the waves are between Fight Caves and Inferno difficulty for the first three, maybe four waves? It just skips the filler easy waves' difficulty from those.
It’s weird because the waves are harder than the boss. You can easily get one hit or stacked out throughout the waves but the boss doesn’t one hit you, even if you mess up. If you can remember the pattern of his attacks, you don’t even really take damage lol it’s not highly rng dependent like inferno boss is
Glad to see the blood moon healing getting reworked. I'm shit at the game and watching the boss go from 30hp to 250 in a couple of seconds sucks. Hopefully a fix for the flickering is on the way next, although it is fun to watch people run under the boss every time they get to a new safe zone
moons is really chill i like. since it's kind of like a raid (each fight has baby versions of raid mechanics, even has resource gathering like some raids) I hope they add a hard mode, even if it's just for recolors, where the mechanics are less forgiving. Bc w near max combats, bandos, 3 weapons under 10m total, and 99 cooking u can more or less ignore the mechanics and still breeze through
I think Varlamore is probably the 3rd best piece of content Jagex ever released. 2nd is Zeah, and sailing will hopefully be the best content ever released.

Hunting rumours, honestly it’s made me lightly more invested in hunting. I was waiting for this update for the hunting guild I am happy I waited. Got the rumours collection log done in 74 rumours so quite happy.
I love the colosseum but I am trash and never have done inferno. Because I’m able to clear wave 5 of colosseum, I feel like I might have a chance at learning this content.
Honestly, hunter rumors. I have 99 slayer for a reason. If left to my own devices I'll get bored, so a task system for one of the most boring skills is a win for me. I spammed novice rumors until I got foxes then just went to the elite master. Problem solved.

Why nobody talking about the new hunter food yet.. anteloppe and dashing keebit food is so good yet there is no volume on it and Im having such a hard time buying it on ge lmao. Dashing kebbit at 23hp and 10 run energy already better than angler
The best part about it is that it's an amazing stepping stone for new PvMers, even more so for ironmen. With stats in the low 60-70s and some barrows gear you can reliably clear all three Moons and start getting into high level bossing mechanics.
Hunter rumors are kinda mid. I had fun doin them when they didn’t take long, its annoying as fuck when you’re stuck on some shit kind of kebbit for 2+ hours with no contract switch. I’ve literally spent hours on kebbits but get Kyatts on 1st try, less than 5, etc

I agree, there at least needs to be a better system for skipping and blocking tasks. I'd prefer rumours to be count based than RNG (trap 50 x return with item). It's nice when they go quickly, but most hunter training is ass and no mini-game is going to make it better. Several hours doing pitfall tasks is not ideal, and those tracking ones are awful. Still worth it for the loot and hunter's outfit but I don't see myself doing it to 99.
they did not fix Perilous Moons, they actually ruined them, they boosted all defence for them they boosted their attacks they boosted the healing on blue moon they halfed the healing in the attacking phase in red moon but boosted it in the special attacks of the red moon, overall. JAGEX should STOP ''FIXING'' edit: the blue moon has become the new worst , it got buffed so much that it do it special attacks too much and freeze u from attacking, the red : heals in jaguar phase too much, heals in blood pool, and heals at attack phase, overall they ruined the whole place the yellow moon got buffed also and its really annoyning to kill now, but they made the blue worst, does these idiots even test their own shit

They were under proc. The ruby bolts proc before diaries was actually higher than after. Reported it with a clan mate a few weeks ago. Tracked 20k bolts to find out.

It turned out to be a lot better than I anticipated. The Colosseum is meant to be high-level content with harsh consequences, but great reward. In my opinion, Fight Caves and Inferno shouldn't have been safe deaths either, so I'm happy they didn't do that for this one. The rest of the content is fairly entertaining (Rumours needs some work but is still better than normal Hunter training).

i wish they would change the gravestone cost at the colosseum, having to pay 500k each attempt when trying to learn new waves is dogshit! im ok paying some still, but 500k each time is just too much.. they should do a claim chest for 100-200k also did they fix the perilous moons bosses from flickering in/out of existence that causes everyone to yellowclick?
Your gravestone cost is based on your gear, try taking some less expensive gear in when practising if possible, for example, ahrims instead of ancestral/ancient staff instead of Kodai

Perilous moons is by far my favorite. It feels like a mini chambers kind of and I love it.
