I love it so much when your entire team is yelling. "MERCY, I NEED HEALING!" And I'm just like. "You know, if I wasn't fucking dead cause you didn't guard me, I could heal you."
So true. :D Or flaming you in the chat because your res came in so late...yeah, I was fu**ing dead and had to run up here just so you don't have to walk. -__- Or someone in a room or on a top level screaming for heals and you're just like...yeah, I can't reach you if you stay there and I'm sure as hell not gonna walk up the stairs to get to you. >__
You forgot the times genji spams for heals even though he's behind enemy lines on the other side of the map while you're keeping the people on the objective alive
Shari Røøze I've head that so many times I just feel like gettingns mike and saying NO you are behind their lines if I go over to you what do you think will happen and then I don't think they would do it again
Old Hunter Ammy your the lucky one then because most of the genjis I get in my team are all ungreatful and never thank me for healing or damage boosting them
Oh my god I had a Reinhardt recently that I was supporting as Mercy, and literally every time she said that line, he would look around for enemies like "you alright, boo?" It was the best thing ever.
The Garden Terror Boy, I wish. From now on I'm gonna warn my team that they're not doing their job in defending me against the annoying Tracer army. After the first warning, I'm switching to a non-support class. People need to take us support seriously.
No I have gotten hate mail middle of the game for not be next to the guy spamming I need healing at full health playing as Roadhog while teammates need me and he runs offs and dies
everybody who does that is somebody that plays on the complete other side of the map that everybody else is on. like, seriously? i'm going to heal the 4 that are escorting the payload, not the one widowmaker that's sniping from a rooftop at the start of the map.
This!!! There's always that one person who picks a low hp hero and runs off into the fray alone and then complains when I can't heal them. The few times I try to follow them, I just end up killed by the mob they dragged me to and the rest of the team gets mad.
Since I'm a Mercy main it pains when I'm there working my butt off healing everybody and then one guy dies and calls me a bad healer and then when I look at my info and I'm at 19k healing done. Bad healer? Pshh. I also hate when you're healing somebody and they ditch you for spawn or a health pack. Or when nobody protects you even though the whole fucking team is there. Honestly people who don't play supporters don't know how hard it is and they treat them like the people you ditch and sacrifice.
I play mercy here a fair bit (2nd most played last I checked) and I've been thanked for doing really well as her before, but 90% of the time, the team does not work with you and then you wonder why your even bothering to heal (the wings not working and the team spreading out are the 2 main things).
The wing issue is annoying, it always works when it's supposed to, however the range it can reach needs an extension. Also if you are channeling a beam on someone they are your locked wing target...release heal/boost THEN fly. (noticed in video 4:14 )
I hate when the whole team just runs off and just goes all over the place and your just left alone defending yourself from other players who are trying to kill you.
Lol for real. Like I play Mercy and this is the thanks I get? I love it when I get a team that works really well together and they all stay relatively close so I can actually get around and heal them all as needed and they protect me as best at they can.
Come on you can't expect everyone to just drop whatever they're doing to save you. Just because YOU don't stick with your team at the choke doesn't mean they abandoned you. They are where they need to be.
+Dylan Lyons That's not what this comment is referring to. As a Mercy main I don't ask my team to save me ever. I know I'm a weak healer and I will gladly die while damage boosting/healing another member of my team because I know ultimately they'll have the bigger impact on getting ahead in the game. The problem is with teams who will all scatter across the maps to try and push individually (forgetting it's a team based game) and then cry for healing every five seconds when they're halfway across the map usually alone trying to play alone. It's a team game with no solo campaign for a reason (I know there's 1v1), it's meant to be played as a team. This comment was just complaining about people who aren't good team players, part of that is defending your team as well as pushing the objective together.
You know what else I hate? when there are no enemies around the team and there is someone with critical health but they can't stop running around in circles making it harder for you to aim at them...
+Brandon Mob omg I was playing Zenyatta once and there were no enemies around and hanso (sorry if I got his name wrong) was above me... low health... he seen me... I was looking up trying to heal him... he just run off... I am like "wtf!!!"
I know the pain...or I would have if I weren't one of the idiots who in most cases chooses to be support before anyone else chooses their hero. (on another note, is chooses the correct word here? My grammar senses are telling me I might be mistaken)
*When not to use the "I need healing" button:* - At full health - If you are missing only 1/10th of your maximum hp - If you have already pressed it multiple times in the last seconds - When your healer is obviously dead - When you are dead - When you are flanking or away from the team and against too many people *When the "I need healing" button is used:* - all of the above
heal main, and if i see u have full hp i will not heal u even if u die after... why... I CAN SEE WHEN U NEED HEAL :D there is a thing that heals can see that... and i hate it when peopel are spaming "i need healing" every 2 sec just becouse they lost 1hp and there is a tank with 10hp and he does not spam he needs healing... so pls...
ThatEuphonistInTheCorner Try being in front of the healer, you know, where the fighting is... keep LoS!! The video says it like 5 times!! As frequent Zen, Mercy, and Ana player, teammates like to run behind me and spam it... so i should turn my back to the frontline and the enemy to heal your sorry ass? Find a healthpack if you're gonna run behind your healer and spam for healing.
You act as if it's as easy as it sounds. You are the only target until you're dead as a Mercy. A lucio is a minor pest, a Zenyatta is barely anything. Mercy is a legitimate threat to the entire team alone, and how are you enjoying your free AoE healing that does jack squat, anyhow?
so healing as a lucio where i req to do nothing only sit around is more skill? or as zenyata where i have to press SHIFT once ( it has a fire and forget mechanic) is more skill full?
I used to main Mercy, untill I figured out nobody gives a shit if you play her or not. If you don't play her your team will hate you. If you play her your team wont know you exist and totaly ignore you. If that's not the case, you get called for retarded fucktard cause someone died on the other side of the map.
+Eri Otto but when your team acts like you don't exist, it's not so fun playing support. That is why I never play support unless there is a second support on the team.
메르띠 Yeah, but you dont know that at first :P So you have to play with that team for a while. The first time might be a mistake or something.. So you try again.. and again.. and again.. until youre sure it doesnt work x'D
DAHLicious Wafflez ugh I just had this last nite. The whole game I thought I did pretty good healing everyone as a solo healer. We got to almost at the end of point 3 of payload and did a one man Rez (tank) ,who ended up dying,to keep the momentum going but missed one person(soldier). I realized I did a shitty Rez and said it over comm. but chew minutes later when we lost, soldier finally got on comm just to tell me I was the shittiest mercy and we lost because of that one man Rez -_-
Not only Mercy. Zenyatta as well. I play either mercy or him whenever I must, when the team decides to not cooperate and I have to be support which is something I am decent at but not perfect. And when I let one person die, because they're wayyyy in the front of the rest of the team they get mad at me. People must understand, I need to see you, to heal you. I'm not going to risk myself, and the rest of the team because you became impatient and decided to run ahead. I need to be shielded from enemy fire to stay alive to keep the team alive, or everyone dies xD
Hi there ! I also play as Mercy ^^ Was thinking about Zenyatta, but I kinda don't feel him, so I stick to Mercy. I made some videos of my gameplay and if you want you could maybe give me some tips or just laugh at my newbie mistakes ^^ Cheers fellow Mercy !
Ah yes ! Forming a team is important ! I play with my friends since the free weekend :D Trying to get better everyday ^^ We play regular matches for now, not ranked (I don't even know if I want to try them xD)
I started in competitive right at level 25. Right when I was able to XD. I only had a bit of trouble the first couple games and then I got the hang of it. It's really no different than quick play. The only real thing, is forming a group of people to play with, that will cooperate with each other is important, because it seems even in freaking ranked people are playing what I like to call "1 player mode" people in freaking competitive still don't know how, or rather, refuse, to cooperate with their team and in the end, they all lose because of it.
Omg I know, right? The soloers are the bitchest and they seem to think that the heals can go through walls. Mercy and Zenyatta can heal through a wall for like 1 second and if your heal was on them before they they go in. Someone actually called me a bad healer because I wasn't healing through walls. Also breaks my heart when the DPS run off and I need to use them to fly out of a wave of enemies. And like, they didn't need to go running immediately. If you play Mercy I imagine you know what I'm talking about lmao. Then there's the "I need healing" spammers that don't help you when you get focused by flankers. Just run on by to the main group and leave you for dead. A shining example I have was a fucking Genji that left me to deal with a full health Roadhog all alone on Mercy.... and then was spamming that he needed healing after I died. And you can't forget when you let them know as Zen or Lucio that your ult is ready... they fucking scatter like cockroaches.
[Playing as Mercy] - Getting hunted by every enemy team member - Not able to even get close to the payload without getting killed - "Man, I'm not doing anything here, it's just as if I wasn't here at all" [Switches character] - Dude in the team chat: "Mercy, why did you change to Soldier: 76?? I need healing!" o.O
+Jacob Chang Exactly what I say. Like, I main Widowmaker but I'm very flexible, but if someone tries to force me to switch I go off on them. I was the first to choose, and I chose Widowmaker. 2 of my friends choose Widowmaker way after I do (I'm much better at widow than them) they try to make ME switch to mercy or Lucio. Like bitch I chose first, you want a healer, YOU BE A HEALER
+James Williams Ikr. I also hate how people never look at team tips. Always seeing 4 Reapers and sometimes a team with no Mercy or any other healer.. Also, why do people play as 76 on defense, but not offense? That makes no sense..
-Mercy mortally wounded Tracer: OMG! Mercy! Are you Ok?! Mercy: Come closer... Tracer: I'm here. Mercy: I'd like for the team to be at my funeral... So that you can all let me down, one last time...*Dies* * Eliminated
Me: *dies 12 times due to being left behind* team: "Yo where tf is the healing??!" Me: *quits the game because the team is shit and doesn't care for me at all when they set me up for failure and let me die, then gives a shit once I'm far away and can't help them*
As a healer, your life is important. If you die, the whole team starts to die with you. Look after yourself as much as you expect the team to watch over you. If things are getting hairy in a team fight, back up, take some cover, dip in to throw a heal when you can but try to very much remain on the sidelines. Your healing beam has VERY good range. You don't have to hug teammates.
1:00 as a mercy main here's another thing mercy players deal with. watching other people play mercy using the heal beam on a full health target instead of the damage booster.
As a Mercy main, it's really tough to play as her sometimes, especially when your team sucks and/or doesn't care about you. Had a horrible Defend match yesterday where I could not do my job well at all because my teammates were not cooperating with each other and trying to be one man armies. There was no feasible way for me to heal my teammates without endangering myself, and nobody cared when I got attacked. I eventually switched to Bastion to lay down covering fire because trying to be Mercy was clearly a hopeless proposition; immediately after doing so, everybody started spamming "We need a healer!" By the time I switched back to try and support the final defense, it was too late and we lost. Then some salty idiot started spewing sarcasm at me such as "Well done Mercy" and "Good job supporting your teammates". However when you finally get that fantastic match as Mercy, it is one of the best feelings you can get from playing Overwatch. My best match ever was a Defend match on Temple of Anubis. I had no deaths whatsoever, got a few eliminations as well, and was healing my teammates left right and center. But the crowning moment came during the last 30 seconds. The enemy team, who hadn't even been able to touch our defense point, finally found an opportunity when their Junkrat's RIP-Tire wiped out my entire team at the defense point. However, I had run off to hide when I heard the warning and survived. I went back out, revived my entire team and we fought back the enemy team charging in, clearly not expecting my resurrection. I got my first ever Mercy POTG for that match, and my teammates were yelling "I LOVE YOU MERCY" over the chat box. One of them even sent me a friend request. Best feeling ever :)
Just change to lucio main when not playing with friends, you'll thank me. Lucio can juke for days, can attack AND heal at the same time, and is equally underappreciated.
Richard Smith I have started playing Lucio more now! I agree, he is pretty underappreciated. He also seems to be tougher than Mercy, either that or he's not as relentlessly targeted like Mercy always is. But Mercy will always be my favourite hero :D
Kennedy W Thanks! It does take some practice and map knowledge, but you will get there eventually. The idea is to be near your teammates to heal them, but make sure you are able to separate when needed. Observe your surroundings at all times and identify potential retreat spots. Then when you hear any ultimate on its way or if you suspect one is imminent, hightail it out of there towards your retreat spot and hide until the ultimate(s) is/are over. Then you can come out and rez. It would also be in your best interests to not show yourself to the enemy team too often. A decent team will relentlessly single you out if it's obvious that you're flying around negating all the damage they've been doing, so be discreet whenever possible.
OMG, same here. xD I really wanna rage quit sometimes, but then again...I love it when I can keep my team alive and always have a Roadhog or Reinhardt nearby to hide behind. :D
What's wrong with this world I dangree with you on so many levels but for the people that do not help their support there are people who do actually care and with help you e.g I was playing mercy last night on hanamura and I was being attacked so I guardian angel to a soldier 76 who sees I'm being attack and not only does he kill the person that's attacking me he also puts down her biotic field so I can break faster and carry on being helpful to my team
Maining Mercy and Lucio, one of the most annoying things ever is when you're healing like a tank with your beam whilst having really low hp and they run over a medkit despite me healing them and they're at 80+% and I die to a random bullet 1 sec later :)
if they're in reach of a healthkit and you can tell that they're goign to pick one up. this is a mistake on your part considering you should be healing targets who are receiving damage.
naw bruh ur right they should know u can heal them and u NEED that health pack to stay alive and if they die oh well the team is still getting heals and there is always a chance they will be resurrected
Some tips: (please like so everyone can see) 4:15 You can set guardian angel to fly so the person closest to your crosshair instead of the person youre healing/buffing. It's a huge help for a small detail! You can also set the healing/buffing stream to toggle instead of hold, so you wont have to break your index and middle finger. Very strategic and also less stressful. Remember that you can cancel a guardian angel midway by pressing LSHIFT (or whatever button) so you wont fly too far into a group of enemies or outside the map.
also u can turn toggle guardian angel off so that u have more control on how far you go, u hold left shift down to fly but u can instantly stop if u lift ur finger off the button its very useful IMO :3
The worst feeling is after you die and you're making your way back to your team, you see pretty much everyone is in critical health and just before you get to them they die. I always feel like a horrible person when that happens lmao
When I'm the lone healer and especially as Mercy I've had Roadhog and Mei scream at me in the chat, voice chat and with the "I need healing" button for when they are at half HP or lower when I'm of healing Hanzo or another charachter that doesn't have any form of self heal. I've had Roadhog get REALLY angry at me in the voice chat for not healing him when he's at half HP spamming the "I need healing button" when I was healing our four other teammates that don't have a healing ability that all were at critical or close to critical health. But it's all worth it for those odd moments I get praise at the end of a game like: *Mercy
I can definitevely see your point, whenever I play Roadhog, and a Mercy starts healing me, I normally ask for her to stop (normally my friend goes Mercy), while asking them to heal someone else.
Thank you. I've met a quite a few roadhogs who use their healing ability almost as soon as they need HP so I can heal others instead. I'm very grateful for them.
My friend uses his roadhog as a support body guard, and is honestly the best roadie I've ever played with. He mostly uses his hook to keep enemies off of our healers. Saved my ass once when a reaper got the jump on me.
Thomas Martinez in terms of other healers, I always have to fling myself as if I had a deathwish onto the point whenever I play Lúcio (my main hero). Because my team decides they have to go attack the Pharah away from the point, while I bounce around, trying to keep the Overtime long enough for them to come back.
what game are you playing? I could get a fucking team wipe while the Mercy gets PotG for pulling her finger out of her nose for long enough to res 2 people!
there's always some fucking reinhardt who just rushed into the middle of the enemy team alone without warning and gets pissed when you don't chase after his reckless ass and blames you for his death.
Brandynite the autobot I wouldnt say that I hate mercy mains, but I would, mainly cause stereotypes such as "babysit me 24/7 because I dont have a gun" or the entitled person who thinks that playing healer (and this mainly jappens on mercy, so thats why she linked with it) instantly mrans there some type of god and deserves the respect or one. And the mercy mains that play her because they havr thr inability to dps and tank. But get past those people and most mercy mains are pretty nice.
I was playing comp the other day and I was Mercy and every time I tried to heal a Tracer would come out of nowhere and kill me and someone on my team had the nerve to tell me that I sucked and haven't healed him once. I told him that I can't heal anyone when I'm dead and at the end of the match he was still bitching and two people on my team turned on their mics and told him to shut the fuck up and that as I healer I did better than he did as D.Va. People are so irritating. Your healers main purpose is to heal and if you don't protect them they can't do their job
I don't think 900000 healing is ever really a thing for a normal Mercy player, considering that it seems even ESports players struggle to get anything near that high on average. Sure, as a record, they are way higher that 900,000, but the fact that Adam from Cloud9, the top Mercy player in the world, gets just under 3000 on average competitively, something tells me that this isn't a very common occurrence.
Auchura Hey, this isn't me I'm talking about. I'm talking about the highest rank Mercy in the world. I doubt that he could be considered a bad Mercy by any means.
Don't forget when someone says they need healing, while they're hiding alone on the other side of the goddamn map. Honestly, if you're so far from all the action, is it so hard to look for a health pack instead?
Was Mercy today with the entire team protecting the payload except for a Winston who constantly went adventuring behind enemy lines only to die almost instantly. He kept asking for healing and then complained after the match that he was never revived.
+16973774 I share your pain. When I'm alive and pushing with the team I do my job and no one ever calls out that they need healing, but the minute I die it's like the medic key form tf2 has been unlocked and they unleash the flood gates as. watch my death cam.
Me: Widowmaker, move to the edge. Widowmaker: Need healing! Me: Move to the edge. I can't get to you. Widowmaker: Need healing! Me: Widow-oh... she's dead.
+The Fox when people are stupid enough to do that I just spam 'understood' at them and shoot their way. They have 7 seconds to react after that I'll just move on.
The one thing that always gets me, and I guess it's kinda my fault, is flying to someone who is hurt and right when I get there to heal them, they die. Now I'm just sitting there facing off against the two enemies that worked to kill the guy I was trying to save. Ooops.
You forgot one: Finally taking a break from Mercy to play some Pharah. Guy on your team picks Lucio. Lucio switches to Reaper without notifying team. You have to go back to Mercy.
Mercy is easier you can finish people off (say 2 people) then use a big res and it will be considered better by the game than triple and quad kills (yes I'm not going to go into the topic of shutdowns e.t.c because I rarely see them being nominated)
I know right? When a ton of spam is incoming and your teammate just runs and leaves you alone. Like seriously how hard is it to protect the mercy with your body? You're getting a constant heal.
This happened to me but it was Reinhardt charging. Plus the guy who got out of the was a full health Roadhog, so he would have lived and I could've healed him anyway.
You probably are the only one, it's so rare that I get protection as Mercy main and every time I do it brings a tear to my eye ( Like when reinhard actually moves his shield that you are always protected )
I main mercy and never really have the team mate problem I'm zip around everywhere in the middle of chaos. Got play of the game and 9/10 votes last night and had people calling me a beast and other compliments. I'm addicted to mercy and the praise I get whilst playing her now hahaha
Honestly, while going through this footage, I scrapped a lot of clips that I originally thought were deaths caused by inattentive teammates, but it turns out that most people were pretty good about giving me support. I just usually died anyway.
tonzatube i play with randoms all the time only time i play with a premade team is when my friend jumps on and it's just two of us. He has finals and hasn't been able to play with me when i have played Mercy. I have yet to feel the pain but ill leave that up to luck.
I find it worse when I play with my friends and they just yell "I need healing!!" In my ears. News flash: I KNOW. I CAN SEE IT. Even if I'm healing someone else, I SEE YOU. MAYBE YOU WOULDNT BE ON SUCH LOW HEALTH IF YOU WERENT CHARGING IN FOR PLAY! Also, IM NOT GOING TO USE MY ULT TO JUST REVIVE YOU AND YOU ONLY! IM NOT A MF POCKET HEALER DANGIT! Ugh maining Mercy is hard.
Ikr! I had to scroll down to hard to find your comment though Like the whole 0:52 part where he could get to his teammate but preferred looking at tracer, it's annoying to look at XD
I once came out of the spawn on Hollywood and found a DVa fighting a Tracer which has gotten behind everyone else. The DVa gets knocked out of her suit, so she plays defensively and I stick behind her. After a bit of shooting at the Tracer and then healing up, she gets back in her mech and we both push into the open. I expected we were finally going to kill the Tracer and move on, instead the DVa flies away and leaves me to die. I quit the game right after.
I honest to god just played a match today as Mercy where my enemy team wasted SIX ULTIMATES over the course of ONE match just to kill me, and killed only me.....
I'm sensing you don't play a lot of Mercy. The team was full of Trickle-In Champions. They all went off different ways at different times. I would pick one person, they would die because we would run into actual groups that worked together, I would be extremely distant from anyone else, so I would pull out my pistol. Trust me, my lifetime damage per match is in the low 100s, which amounts to about three shots fired per game and my eliminations per game sits at a sterling 0.54. I know my pistol isn't a great option. This was just a really, really bad team.
Use your shift more often. Especially if a tracer is chasing you, leap to a teamate on higher ground. This will make her near useless. Also keep your beam on people so you can hit shift without having to find them. It's a good habbit to beam then shift, rather than just trying to shift only. That way if they move you'll still go to them.
+Walkswbear as long as you hold down your beam on someone, you can look in any direction and use your shift charge to that person, even for a second after they run behind a wall
Isaiah W I only have 5 hours and I got the game on Christmas Which I mainly do mercy because I am not good with any other character so yeah we all relate to this video so well
I will say while unhelpful teammates is a large issue, for a LOT of the first clip, you were getting in way too close to the action. When you were following that Torb, you were following him into a lost battle since it was the two of you versus the entire team. When that McCree retreated, you should have also retreated and not have gone for the kill. Only take out your pistol if an enemy is shooting at you and you have no other form of cover. If they retreat and give you an opening, that's your cue to get the fuck out. Your survivability is important.
I just love playing support! You're the single most important target on the map with the least killing ability... unless you're Zenyatta, then you're just squishy That said, as Lucio, I have been the sole target of so many Ults it's been funny. Even more funny is when I nullify some Ults with my own or defeat the Roadhog chain with his Soundwave!
Healing Tanks are what makes Mercy compete with Lucio for the best healer, Lucio takes forever so they're rarely full health. Mercy beams them up pretty fast if they're not in combat and if they are in combat then they become supertanks with the Healing beam on them. A Roadhog or a Reinhardt is a Mercy's best friend (Also Pharah but that's because she flies and power boosting her is fun in the air).
kyl1an matth3w He had full health and popped his heal because a Winston was coming his way and needed a way to heal himself because he knew Winston was coming for him.
LightningIgnitor mate is it that hard to think he is actually someone who cares about mercy? i mean i do it all the time. and that would still be a waste because he popped it early making it last not as long. so if he would have been smart enough to think about popping it to counter winston i dont think he wouldve been stupid enough to waste some precious seconds on his healing beacon
kyl1an matth3w No, he didn't even notice the Mercy at all, is that so hard to think about? And he wouldn't need that heal beacon up for 'a few extra seconds' anyways.
tracer has this too, but they're also fast enough to catch junkrat, pharah, and hanzo projectiles. i.e. i don't even like to think about the number of times i was chasing someone down and suddenly got headshot. then look at the kill cam and the hanzo had NO F'ING CLUE i was coming, and just randomly shot a, rather badly aimed i might add, arrow at your team mate, and you catch it straight in the head -_-.
I was once called the worst Mercy ever and that I should quit playing Overwatch because I started playing as a battle mercy mid match. Reason being because my team couldn't kill any freaking body. I stand there healing them while fighting an enemy and they still die, so why should I fucking heal you if you just die anyway. So basically if my team wasn't so bad at pointing a gun and hitting the enemy body then I wouldn't need to be front lines and carry their asses.
Seth Smith I don't like too brag, but I feel that I play a damn good Mercy. The perfect balance of movement, healing, defending myself, and sometimes attacking enemies that don't expect a fight from a Mercy while the team just just doesn't notice them lol😑.

Gotta hate it when you're playing a support (or torby) that isn't Mercy you've got a Widowmaker way the fuck up on a building pinging for healing and you're like "I can't get up there you moron!"
I just like how so many people in the comments are like: "Mercy is boring and playing her is not so hard, and if you are a healer you heal, why should I thank you." But my dude, you wonder, isn't Mercy the first character competent players try to kill in competitive? My god, I wonder why the fuck is that. Believe me, staying alive while not shooting (because they are healing all of us) while keeping the team up so we can do our POTGs and massive kills is not fucking easy, you all should try sometimes. Zenyatta, Lucio and Ana can still defend themselves while healing, a good Mercy is basically high on paranoia and situational awareness the whole match to keep your ass alive by sneaking around like a damn ninja. A good Mercy ultimate can WRECK the whole match. So yes, if you are lucky enough to find a good Mercy player who can keep your team in good health and pushing and knows how to use her ulti, you better protect her and vote her with all your loving souls, because that is one hell of an asset.
Ugh, I hate playing Mercy. It's nice to support but nobody gives a shit. You'll be across the map with your team and a lone guy at the other side in the middle of enemy territory calls for your healing and then he dies and calls you a shitty healer. Like, wtf? Anyways this was cool
Hitsuga Aorusaki i average 5-6 on a normal day (more now that i'm in compeditive) Better to play compeditive to weed out the people who give 0 shits :P
Mad Muffin Lucio is amazing for offense because he can heal multiple people and people are grouped together on the objective/payload and zenyatta is actually really good at getting eliminations
I'm already aware of this, thanks though. Also, sadly, most people don't even know to stick with the payload. Lesson of Solo Q QP - Don't do Solo Q QP.
I always find who ever I support almost constantly gets player of the game. Even in the part where they show why they're player of the game I'm there healing them and they're critical. I've never gotten player of the game as mercy
I'm always following around tanks and they only use their shield idk why because I'm the only other person there behind the shield and I'm currently giving them a power boost so they can slaughter everyone. They just stand there with a shield and then run away...
At least Resurrect can get you guys play of the game, and actually used to have problems on PC, where it would get almost every play of the game invariably. I am an Ana main. Meaning that I am fantastic at choosing which of my teammates gets play of the game, but I am literally almost incapable of getting play of the game myself. Though Lucio has similar issues, as does Zen. At least 1 healer can get a POTG every now and then.
Same. I enjoy playing as mercy because she brings out the nice, caring person inside of me. Unless my team is not protecting me and I keep getting killed over and over again. Then I'm just a stubborn little b****...
I also love when Reinhardt charges into battle and dies instantly instead of holding up his shield so i can heal him and the team seeking shelter behind him. or when he holds up his shield and decide to lower it to throw a fireball across the map so a widowmaker or a hanzo can kill me in one shot.
Hey now, some of us Reinhardt are out to save everyone. I hear a "Justice rains from above!" my shield goes up and I get in front of everyone no matter what. Ultimates don't matter if they hit a brick wall of German. #teammatesmatter
Mercy is a tough role but someone's gotta do it. If you have a somewhat competent team and the other side doesn't have any supports, your team has a massive advantage in my experience. I just hate how I rarely get any votes regardless of how much healing I do. I don't know about you but I ALWAYS vote for the healer regardless if that person is on the other team. But no, everyone wants to vote for the Reaper who got play of the game.
Nano Pixel I wish more healers got the same recognition as you. Because from my experience the healer gets epic very rarely but I suppose everyone has their own experiences. I'm just stating as for me, enemy team or not you play the healer and you get my respect and my vote.
I usually vote for a healer if I saw them do something memorable or the card stands out amongst the other cards. Healers get a lot of love in my experience.
As a Mercy main, I try my damndest never to get around THAT MANY RED NAMES. It's not your job to be in the midst of the fight. It's your job to help others get to that point. Goddammit I love playing Mercy.
Ye but if your team are just sitting back and literally not progressing even if your are helping them, when it goes to overtime you may as well take it upon yourself to get on the point, you have nothing to lose. Maybe it will give you enough time for your team to think "Oh shit, the Mercy is say on the point alone, maybe we should go help"
Nah, their thought process is "someone else is on the point, I'll stay back here and snipe from safety". Whole lot of people suck at this game, the struggle is real.
I go Deathwish Mercy and dance around the bullets. My view is that the two most important tactics for playing Mercy are: 1. Using your team as way points to escape immediate danger which does require your team to be accessible but is awesome when it works and 2. Putting your own team between you and the enemy whenever possible. After all, you can keep them alive while they kill the person shooting them. Don't need a nice team then, effectively have to force the team to keep you alive.
Two things I never get. 1. From playing so much mercy, the moment i hear "help me" I spin around right away and try to, you know, help Mercy. Why doesn't anyone else do this? Its almost as if the game designers put this voiceline in for a reason...can't imagine why though haha. Then you die as mercy because no one helps and of course people start asking where their healing went...[facepalm]. 2. Why do players run away from their heals? They are getting shot up to hell, but you have the healing stream on them buying a few seconds...which they use to dash into a building out of line of sight and away from their healing dying instantly the moment your stream disconnects. I get that its hard sometimes to know where the healing is coming from, but its definitely not in front of you...don't run that way!
y'all i main as d.va and my second is mercy. let me tell you. whenever i have a mercy healing me i try so hard to get the enemies off her back bc i know myself how fucking annoying it can be when your teammates are ignoring you when playing as a support
Literally same. My three mains are D.Va, Mercy, and Pharah in order of how much I like them. I honestly really love being Mercy though. It's really fun for me. D.Va is still my number one tho. ;)
The amount of times I've been healing my team and a stray reaper just walks through our Reinhardt and *boops* me with his shotguns is unbelievable. ;-;
funbum2001 That is fine and all but being Mercy or any support character needs at least someone to look out for 'em. After all, sometimes I even sacrifice myself for three or four rez...
Dont you just love it when mercy is yelling "Cover me!" "Help me!" "Im being attacked!" and still nobody turns around to help you
Yada Yada Reinhardt should not be bodyguarding you, so I'm ok with them leaving me to die. Everyone else, though, can help...
he should, u are healing him and when u are behinde him he can help u ... so ...
I love it so much when your entire team is yelling. "MERCY, I NEED HEALING!" And I'm just like. "You know, if I wasn't fucking dead cause you didn't guard me, I could heal you."
Fucking preach lol.
JS Stop Motion Studios
so true
I feel you
i'm glad i'm not a mercy main
You forgot the times genji spams for heals even though he's behind enemy lines on the other side of the map while you're keeping the people on the objective alive
Shari Røøze This comment is way too accurate
Agreed.
Shari Røøze I've head that so many times I just feel like gettingns mike and saying NO you are behind their lines if I go over to you what do you think will happen and then I don't think they would do it again
Old Hunter Ammy your the lucky one then because most of the genjis I get in my team are all ungreatful and never thank me for healing or damage boosting them
Old Hunter Ammy I play on the same platform as you do so I think you have just been lucky
When Mercy says "help I'm being attacked!"
You should help, she's being attacked.
Oh my god I had a Reinhardt recently that I was supporting as Mercy, and literally every time she said that line, he would look around for enemies like "you alright, boo?" It was the best thing ever.
The Garden Terror
Boy, I wish.
From now on I'm gonna warn my team that they're not doing their job in defending me against the annoying Tracer army.
After the first warning, I'm switching to a non-support class.
People need to take us support seriously.
"Get them off me!"
Doesn't get them off me. RIP
Yes thats good point. BUT That getting that reinharts shield down is more importen! (My main hero is mercy tough)
Then actually get behind Reinhardt's shield and don't walk right in front of his shield right when he brings it in front of you.
how about the player who expects you to heal them only
Just because they use the 'I need healing' trigger when they're at critical health doesn't mean they want you to heal them only.
No I have gotten hate mail middle of the game for not be next to the guy spamming I need healing at full health playing as Roadhog while teammates need me and he runs offs and dies
This.
everybody who does that is somebody that plays on the complete other side of the map that everybody else is on. like, seriously? i'm going to heal the 4 that are escorting the payload, not the one widowmaker that's sniping from a rooftop at the start of the map.
dude there was this one annoying player who wanted me to make healing him the priority as opposed to healing the rest of the team pushing the payload
Teammate: I need healing!
Me: If I can't fucking see you I can't fucking heal you.
Misaki Madness OH MY GOD YESS
Misaki Madness Tracer and Genji. Every fucking time!!
This!!! There's always that one person who picks a low hp hero and runs off into the fray alone and then complains when I can't heal them. The few times I try to follow them, I just end up killed by the mob they dragged me to and the rest of the team gets mad.
Misaki Madness typical Widowmaker, Genji, Hanzo
+Ruby Abc Not Hanzo, in those cases that I hit x as Hanzo I'm standing right next to the mercy and I get no heals. Most mercies have tunnel vision.
Preach.
Ikr 😖😖
I fucking hate it! And I say the same in TF2...
Same thing just happened to me yesterday
HOLY SHIT when people leave the fight for a health pack like wtf am i here for?!
Not to mention the fact that Everyone wants a mercy, nobody wants to be a mercy, and nobody thanks the person who played mercy
That's basically the life of a healer.
I actually only wanna play Mercy, but yeah if I wasn't there no on in my group would play as her.
(noticed in video 4:14 )
there is an option in the options menu to change her wing target to not prefer the current healing/buff target, this really helps ya fly strait.
Bah! they scatter around whole map and then complain about dying all the time lawlz
YEEESSSSSS
+Sondrex76 I think it's right (sorry if I am wrong)
One time my Hanzo said I had downs because I wouldn't heal him despite the fact that he was on the other side of the map
omfg u are right
Something you missed: Rezing someone only for them to charge in for a few seconds and get themselves killed again.
Or for the enemy team to kill them all again in about 5 seconds
+A Random Purple Kitty Cat Yeah, but that's not on your team, that's on the compitency of you and the enemy team.
+aquawaveseafaring
True, but it's still just as bad, because either way everyone that you just revived dies again
+A Random Purple Kitty Cat gets resed then is sniped 2 seconds later
+A Random Purple Kitty Cat I know, I just feel like it's more of a "Hey, my enemies are compitent" sort of thing
*When not to use the "I need healing" button:*
- At full health
- If you are missing only 1/10th of your maximum hp
- If you have already pressed it multiple times in the last seconds
- When your healer is obviously dead
- When you are dead
- When you are flanking or away from the team and against too many people
*When the "I need healing" button is used:*
- all of the above
i make the support angry at me because i press it by accident.
+Karmingrün You forgot about how X is used right next to the healers, but then they don't heal you because they're blind.
heal main, and if i see u have full hp i will not heal u even if u die after... why... I CAN SEE WHEN U NEED HEAL :D there is a thing that heals can see that... and i hate it when peopel are spaming "i need healing" every 2 sec just becouse they lost 1hp and there is a tank with 10hp and he does not spam he needs healing... so pls...
Karmingrün the i need healing button gets me boiling!!! I’m like bitch I know now run the fuck to me!
"Why am I supporting this team?"
As a Mercy main. I ask myself that every day.
LOL mercy main HAHAHAHA, having fun with your lock-on-target heal? EleGiggle
much skill
You act as if it's as easy as it sounds. You are the only target until you're dead as a Mercy. A lucio is a minor pest, a Zenyatta is barely anything. Mercy is a legitimate threat to the entire team alone, and how are you enjoying your free AoE healing that does jack squat, anyhow?
so healing as a lucio where i req to do nothing only sit around is more skill?
or as zenyata where i have to press SHIFT once ( it has a fire and forget mechanic) is more skill full?
oh we have a genji main here thinking pressing shift+right click+melee till there dead
I used to main Mercy, untill I figured out nobody gives a shit if you play her or not. If you don't play her your team will hate you. If you play her your team wont know you exist and totaly ignore you. If that's not the case, you get called for retarded fucktard cause someone died on the other side of the map.
Story of my life as Mercy. Sniped, chased, teamates oblivious to me being picked off. The pain is REAL!
Yes! Its so bad!
+Eri Otto but when your team acts like you don't exist, it's not so fun playing support. That is why I never play support unless there is a second support on the team.
Finally I find others who share my pain as a mercy Main.
You shouldn't be playing Mercy if your team is incapable of protecting you. Mercy isn't the only support hero out there.
메르띠 Yeah, but you dont know that at first :P So you have to play with that team for a while. The first time might be a mistake or something.. So you try again.. and again.. and again.. until youre sure it doesnt work x'D
6. Getting all the blame if you lose
Basically.
DAHLicious Wafflez yup
DAHLicious Wafflez ugh I just had this last nite. The whole game I thought I did pretty good healing everyone as a solo healer. We got to almost at the end of point 3 of payload and did a one man Rez (tank) ,who ended up dying,to keep the momentum going but missed one person(soldier). I realized I did a shitty Rez and said it over comm. but chew minutes later when we lost, soldier finally got on comm just to tell me I was the shittiest mercy and we lost because of that one man Rez -_-
Only noobs blame the support.
DAHLicious Wafflez fuckingg teammates
Pwiest Playing Sure, I'd love to :D What system do you play on? I was looking to form a team so I don't have to solo queue
[Playing as Mercy]
- Getting hunted by every enemy team member
- Not able to even get close to the payload without getting killed
- "Man, I'm not doing anything here, it's just as if I wasn't here at all"
[Switches character]
- Dude in the team chat: "Mercy, why did you change to Soldier: 76?? I need healing!"
o.O
Maybe the guy that told you should play as Mercy lol
+Jacob Chang no fuckin idea. Some people are dumb as fuck
I'm a mercy main, and let me say, when I saw oohdang defend you, it brought a tear to my eye.... also this list is pretty accurate
Protect
Your
Supports
For the love of God
When your team tells you to, "get good," instead of protecting you(Mercy): -_-
^^^
THIS
I had that once "You are the WORST Mercy ever" just because I revived five teammates and he wasn't part of it cause he was too FAR!
The first time some one told me that I sat in spawn and let them all died then they were crying.
You most have rez your self as there only 6 players in a team lol.
-Mercy mortally wounded
Tracer: OMG! Mercy! Are you Ok?!
Mercy: Come closer...
Tracer: I'm here.
Mercy: I'd like for the team to be at my funeral... So that you can all let me down, one last time...*Dies*
* Eliminated
Savage.
Brutal
Ive read this in a splatoon miiverse post
Isn't it like... "I want you to carry my casket so you can let me down one more time"?
the comic if anyone was wondering where this joke is from - enecoo.tumblr.com/post/145115321708/mercy-had-enough-of-her-team
Me: *dies 12 times due to being left behind*
team: "Yo where tf is the healing??!"
Me: *quits the game because the team is shit and doesn't care for me at all when they set me up for failure and let me die, then gives a shit once I'm far away and can't help them*
I've only been playing Overwatch for 4 fucking days and I'm already better than most of the assholes I play with.
BitZu
thats probably because yours playing with players near the same level as you. Theyre all new too
As a healer, your life is important.
User but then you have flankers that focus on killing you
Blaming other teammates isn't gonna help you improve. You're most likely not better than most of the people you play with, sorry, it's the truth.
1:00 as a mercy main here's another thing mercy players deal with. watching other people play mercy using the heal beam on a full health target instead of the damage booster.
i do that sometimes, the split second to switch can be the difference between life and death for them
+K463178 everytime i turn off heal beam whoever im buffing usually starts dying really really fast so i have to switch back real fast.
I sometimes camping a full heal teamate in the back line to heal myself up.
Erabu kun you auto heal. you don't need to heal someone to heal yourself.
yea, but you heal yourself faster if you're healing someone else.
But Mercy will always be my favourite hero :D
axesebi Lucio has jukes for days. He isn't targeted as much, if you have proven yourself to be one of those damn slippery lucio's.
C. L It does, doesn't it? I was absolutely over the moon when it happened :D
I always suffer so much when I play mercy, and yet she's my favorite character to play.
All of these are so accurate!
Same
What's wrong with this world same
Maining Mercy and Lucio, one of the most annoying things ever is when you're healing like a tank with your beam whilst having really low hp and they run over a medkit despite me healing them and they're at 80+% and I die to a random bullet 1 sec later :)
THIS
if they're in reach of a healthkit and you can tell that they're goign to pick one up. this is a mistake on your part considering you should be healing targets who are receiving damage.
naw bruh ur right they should know u can heal them and u NEED that health pack to stay alive and if they die oh well the team is still getting heals and there is always a chance they will be resurrected
This! I can heal you. If I'm Ana, or Mercy I cannot heal myself. So why do YOU insist on taking the health pack?
but you can heal yourself as ana and mercy, mercy heals overtime and ana could just throw her medicine bomb or something on herself
Some tips: (please like so everyone can see)
4:15 You can set guardian angel to fly so the person closest to your crosshair instead of the person youre healing/buffing.
"Some tips" - Gives one tip..
Forgot the "show more" button? I gave 3 tips that this guy could definitely use
must have been bugged for me. It didn't show. My bad. Well not really my bad but yea :D
lola palola Yeah thats what i reckoned :D
also u can turn toggle guardian angel off so that u have more control on how far you go, u hold left shift down to fly but u can instantly stop if u lift ur finger off the button its very useful IMO :3
Don't forget about the Genji or Rein that dive into the enemy team and talk shit about Mercy not healing them.
Roadhog also
The worst feeling is after you die and you're making your way back to your team, you see pretty much everyone is in critical health and just before you get to them they die. I always feel like a horrible person when that happens lmao
I just started playing Mercy and this is SO TRUE!
I played Mercy for 3 months and only realised yesterday she has a gun
KING BOB!!! Same
Oh my god. How did you survive?
*facepalm*
oldmcdonald ! 😂😂
oldmcdonald ! I've met some mercy players who did that
Let's start a GoFundMe page for all suffering Mercy Mains.
Please
Avana please free me from my suffering
It's always the Reinhardt charges...
Nicole Cespedes and tracer
AwesomeGuy And Hanzos.... and Roadhogs....
While healing a Roadhg he starts healing himself so you can't built ult
People who charge into a 6 v 1 and yell "wheres our healer?!"
and the people who grab a health kit while you're healing them (especially when YOU are wounded).
He has priorities.
THIS. ugh selfish Roadhog
+Stephen Andolino
yo. he has to heal. quickly. he's a tank. go heal someone else, better yet damage boost.
Being a healer in any game tends to suck :(
Much like in real life :(
acs197 except for the pay
In real life I believe it's a war crime to kill a medic.
Malik Walker yeah, you're right if you even lay a finger on a red cross medic you're officially the worst country ever
Malik Walker this law should be applied to video games as well
WHEN YOU'RE A MERCY YOU LITERALLY DONT EXIST TO YOUR TEAMMATES. YOU'RE JUST A HEALER AND A DISTRACTION FOR THE OPPOSING TEAM TO FOCUS ON. CRI
But it's all worth it for those odd moments I get praise at the end of a game like:
*Mercy
I can definitevely see your point, whenever I play Roadhog, and a Mercy starts healing me, I normally ask for her to stop (normally my friend goes Mercy), while asking them to heal someone else.
Thank you. I've met a quite a few roadhogs who use their healing ability almost as soon as they need HP so I can heal others instead. I'm very grateful for them.
I like to be that kind of Roadhog, mainly because the cooldown is so small. It's not like Hanzo's abilities, which take over 10 seconds.
I respect Roadhogs like you, but sadly most roadhogs are just complete assholes
My friend uses his roadhog as a support body guard, and is honestly the best roadie I've ever played with. He mostly uses his hook to keep enemies off of our healers. Saved my ass once when a reaper got the jump on me.
*gets 4-man rez*
*shitty hanzo on other team gets potg for an ult*
*doesn't even get a card for 13k healing*
Being Mercy is hard.
RukiahTaicho got a 18k with mercy not one vote
Thomas Martinez in terms of other healers, I always have to fling myself as if I had a deathwish onto the point whenever I play Lúcio (my main hero). Because my team decides they have to go attack the Pharah away from the point, while I bounce around, trying to keep the Overtime long enough for them to come back.
RukiahTaicho i once got 36k healing with mercy and only got 2 votes LOL
what game are you playing? I could get a fucking team wipe while the Mercy gets PotG for pulling her finger out of her nose for long enough to res 2 people!
.... ressed 5 people right in overtime and turned game.... POTG went to hanzo who used used ult to kill two stradlers somewhere...
You forgot the part where everyone blames mercy for the team's failure, even though they were running in one by one and ignoring the payload
there's always some fucking reinhardt who just rushed into the middle of the enemy team alone without warning and gets pissed when you don't chase after his reckless ass and blames you for his death.
"God they're everywhere and they all want to kill me!" This sums up playing Mercy fairly well.
Why do people hate on mercy and mercy mains? What did we do? We're the people healing you guys?
Brandynite the autobot I wouldnt say that I hate mercy mains, but I would, mainly cause stereotypes such as "babysit me 24/7 because I dont have a gun" or the entitled person who thinks that playing healer (and this mainly jappens on mercy, so thats why she linked with it) instantly mrans there some type of god and deserves the respect or one. And the mercy mains that play her because they havr thr inability to dps and tank.
But get past those people and most mercy mains are pretty nice.
Brandynite the autobot because of how whiny they are
I was playing comp the other day and I was Mercy and every time I tried to heal a Tracer would come out of nowhere and kill me and someone on my team had the nerve to tell me that I sucked and haven't healed him once.
Its hard to play mercy when your team is complete shit. Especially the tank?
That's why I play Zen most of the time, not because I want to but because if I don't kill stuff, my team sure won't :P
Mercy:900000 healing. Genji:3deflect kills *evreybody chooses genji* mercy triggered
Mike They're exaggerating to make a point, dude...
Mike Damn that went way the fuck over your head lol ever heard of "hyperbole" XD
Mike if you get 3k healing average you Are not a very good mercy
They have 7 seconds to react after that I'll just move on.
or when they need a healing and they re behind a wall and you cant im them and they keep running and hiding
people saying they need healing but they are near the payload and you're at spawn.
When they ARE near the payload. Usually they are all spread over the map dying and asking for heal.
The one thing that always gets me, and I guess it's kinda my fault, is flying to someone who is hurt and right when I get there to heal them, they die. Now I'm just sitting there facing off against the two enemies that worked to kill the guy I was trying to save. Ooops.
You forgot one:
Finally taking a break from Mercy to play some Pharah. Guy on your team picks Lucio.
Lucio switches to Reaper without notifying team.
You have to go back to Mercy.
Same... I just end up picking Zenyatta or Lucio when the team is hard pressed for me to switch to Mercy for a while.
I simply stopped caring about team comps lol
how about almost never getting player of the game.
Still easier then it is getting it as Lucio on most maps
And Lúcio has some of the coolest highlight animations
ive gotten play as the game as lucio several times and im only like rank 8 right now.
Mercy is easier you can finish people off (say 2 people) then use a big res and it will be considered better by the game than triple and quad kills (yes I'm not going to go into the topic of shutdowns e.t.c because I rarely see them being nominated)
Lucio's only real way of getting PotG is by knock back so he can't really get it on some maps but Mercy isn't restricted
I love playing Mercy, yes when your team doesn't helps protect you it really sucks but other than that I love supporting
I find it funny when im a support and the other team uses all their ults just to kill me
The question is, "Do they succeed?"
Occasionally, I'm a Zen main so i just transcendence and waste their ults :P
Platinum Rage Lol you do realise they probably solo ult you to bait out your transcendence so you won't have it when they push as a team
Thy King Nub ohmygod
Platinum Rage Ikr, and singling you out
Number 1 for me is flying to a teammate who then steps out of the way so you can tank the snipe intended for him with your face.
Honestly tho lol
Holy shit every time XD
Oh it's always Reindhardt charging for me... I've flown straight into his muscular arms so many times...
Now I feel like i'm the only one who helps out their Mercy
Probably are (I'm a Zen and Mercy main)
Stop playing premade teams then and feel the pain
tonzatube i play with randoms all the time only time i play with a premade team is when my friend jumps on and it's just two of us.
He has finals and hasn't been able to play with me when i have played Mercy.
I have yet to feel the pain but ill leave that up to luck.
spumwack that sucks :( must say Mercy is squishy though
"It's nice to be appreciated!"
Also,
IM NOT GOING TO USE MY ULT TO JUST REVIVE YOU AND YOU ONLY!
IM NOT A MF POCKET HEALER DANGIT!
Ugh maining Mercy is hard.
Half the times you died, you could have easily flew to a teamate on high ground and survived. GM mercy player.
to be fair, the video was posted in June
Thanks you for the tips silver mercy player
Ikr! I had to scroll down to hard to find your comment though
Like the whole 0:52 part where he could get to his teammate but preferred looking at tracer, it's annoying to look at XD
Basically me when I heal somebody in quick play EVERY. FUCKING. TIME.
I honest to god just played a match today as Mercy where my enemy team wasted SIX ULTIMATES over the course of ONE match just to kill me, and killed only me.....
One time I played mercy 3 people single ulted me (genji, hanzo, and junkrat)
Ethan OH HELL
you forgot the 6th thing; having the Gold for most eliminations on your team
The worst game of my life I actually led the team in damage. DAMAGE. I only had 1300. I still say a curse for that team every time I boot the game up.
Why any mercy has damage done at all is beyond me,
I was always alone because my god awful team constantly died/ran off without me. I either accept my fate or pull out my pistol and at least try.
ItsTheShawn doesn't matter of they run off. follow them. it's no one but your own fault if the team is always away from you.
I always use my teammates as transportation-- keeps me from getting shit on (usually)
Be the ping pong ball you've always dreamed of being.
yeah I was wondering why shift wasn't being used a lot more often
+CosmicMist I try that but then my teammates run away behind a wall
+Walkswbear as long as you hold down your beam on someone, you can look in any direction and use your shift charge to that person, even for a second after they run behind a wall
As a Mercy with around 50 hours with her I can agree with ALL 5 things.
Isaiah W I only have 5 hours and I got the game on Christmas Which I mainly do mercy because I am not good with any other character so yeah we all relate to this video so well
another annoying thing is when ur teammates die in other many places not in the same time and u cant ressurect them all at the same time
I will say while unhelpful teammates is a large issue, for a LOT of the first clip, you were getting in way too close to the action.
Sinister Pixel I'm trying to main mercy and I have to admit that's some good idea o.o thanks I have to try doing that while playing mercy.
I always love how everyone cries out for heal, but no one bothers to protect the healer.
I just love playing support! You're the single most important target on the map with the least killing ability... unless you're Zenyatta, then you're just squishy
That said, as Lucio, I have been the sole target of so many Ults it's been funny. Even more funny is when I nullify some Ults with my own or defeat the Roadhog chain with his Soundwave!
it's amazing when you get a play of the game as mercy where you rez then pull out your gun and tank down a tank.
Toast Yeah! That's me!
Zenyatta? The robot? Squishy....? what does that even mean...?
Brandon Lorenzo 50 HP and 100 shield. Not exactly tanky...
Zenyata the Omsquishynic
Also healing tanks with armour especially d.va take ages
It takes ages but it's a one way ticket to getting an ult off every 40 seconds or so :P
+thekillers1stfan or reapers and Bastions
Healing Tracer and Genji is so hard when they are moving and dancing around lol
oml XD
The moment when you solo revive only for the person to fUCKING DIE AGAIN
That soldier 76 I would heal everyday anyday
I don't think he even healed him intentionally
he did, he had full health and popped his heal
kyl1an matth3w He had full health and popped his heal because a Winston was coming his way and needed a way to heal himself because he knew Winston was coming for him.
I appreciate people who say thank you everytime you heal them or rez them
They r too good for this world ;~;
seems like you could be flying away and surviving like half of the time to me
My thoughts exactly! I don't think he pressed shift even once in the whole video. Most other stuff was true and funny though.
When Reinhardt lines up his charge one of my teammates and accidently smashes me as I fly in to heal >.< soml
tracer has this too, but they're also fast enough to catch junkrat, pharah, and hanzo projectiles. i.e. i don't even like to think about the number of times i was chasing someone down and suddenly got headshot. then look at the kill cam and the hanzo had NO F'ING CLUE i was coming, and just randomly shot a, rather badly aimed i might add, arrow at your team mate, and you catch it straight in the head -_-.
I've done this before. Just started laughing. Then my team proceeded to all die :D
I was Ana once and this Tracer was asking for healing while teleing everywhere and complained when she died...
i always thank my teammates when they protect me.
So basically if my team wasn't so bad at pointing a gun and hitting the enemy body then I wouldn't need to be front lines and carry their asses.
hey its OK. I always have to pull out my peashooter to kill Bastion and turrets cuz no one else can apparently

Sometimes you can't even reach her with Mercy
Lucio can easily climb up walls with some practice
+DKane V (Cephalon Rai)
In a timely manner?
+Miss Dark Pretty much
Zenyatta and Ana both have ranged healing though.
So yes, if you are lucky enough to find a good Mercy player who can keep your team in good health and pushing and knows how to use her ulti, you better protect her and vote her with all your loving souls, because that is one hell of an asset.
firecrackerx So true 😭😭😭
firecrackerx lmao
Ugh, I hate playing Mercy. It's nice to support but nobody gives a shit. You'll be across the map with your team and a lone guy at the other side in the middle of enemy territory calls for your healing and then he dies and calls you a shitty healer. Like, wtf?
Anyways this was cool
America servers? that sounds like cancer.
***** Yes America servers
고양이사람 welp that kind of shit doesn't happen in the Australian servers...kind of glad >.
Nah, people actually do seem to care. IF you do a good job, you'll get 3 likes every match at least, averaging at 4
Hitsuga Aorusaki i average 5-6 on a normal day (more now that i'm in compeditive)
Better to play compeditive to weed out the people who give 0 shits :P
"Why didn't you res me?"
"You died by yourself on the other side of the arena with the entire enemy team surrounding your body!"
You need the patience of a saint to be a support main. I don't have that, I think, yet I main Mercy... Maybe I'm just a masochist. x'D
Mad Muffin yeah sometimes it can be really frustrating when they someone says they need healing right after they run away from you
I always find who ever I support almost constantly gets player of the game.
Maybe stop healing them then :)
Funny is when they brag about their 50 kills and u know its just because of u.
Sophinator i got a player of the game with mercy when i resurrected like three people but that was only once, though i really do agree with you
At least Resurrect can get you guys play of the game, and actually used to have problems on PC, where it would get almost every play of the game invariably. I am an Ana main. Meaning that I am fantastic at choosing which of my teammates gets play of the game, but I am literally almost incapable of getting play of the game myself. Though Lucio has similar issues, as does Zen. At least 1 healer can get a POTG every now and then.
6. The guys who think they can play mercy 'because she's easy' and keep healing full hp tanks for minutes.
Robin Wieten she is easy. And people who heal peopl at full health have a mental disability
Or think overwatch is tf2
You forgot the moment you loose your 5 Player ress on the spot that won you the match potg to someone who randomly killed two people.
I love being Mercy so much though, and I always try and protect our Mercy if someone else is being her.
Dude same
I have a think 50-something hours in overwatch and I have a total of 32 in mercy alone. I quite enjoy playing her.
you kinda look like her. But more beautifull. :)
I had a Reinhardt use his fire blast instead of hold up his barrier to McCree's ult.
Anthony McKean Yeah or when he decides not to use his shield in Zarya Black Hole. 5 players dead.
You never get behind it anyways and whine that he's not coming to you even though he's shielding the rest of the team from danger.
LightningIgnitor As Hanzo i'm always behind his shield when possible. Taking out Bastions and Torbjorn turrets like no tomorrow.
Hey now, some of us Reinhardt are out to save everyone. I hear a "Justice rains from above!" my shield goes up and I get in front of everyone no matter what. Ultimates don't matter if they hit a brick wall of German. #teammatesmatter
I love how animated you are when you're playing! its really entertaining! :D
that 76 at end though. the kind of teammate every Mercy dreams of.
Totally
So tru
Mercy is a tough role but someone's gotta do it. If you have a somewhat competent team and the other side doesn't have any supports, your team has a massive advantage in my experience. I just hate how I rarely get any votes regardless of how much healing I do. I don't know about you but I ALWAYS vote for the healer regardless if that person is on the other team. But no, everyone wants to vote for the Reaper who got play of the game.
most all games I play the healer gets an Epic or close to one
Nano Pixel I wish more healers got the same recognition as you. Because from my experience the healer gets epic very rarely but I suppose everyone has their own experiences. I'm just stating as for me, enemy team or not you play the healer and you get my respect and my vote.
I usually vote for a healer if I saw them do something memorable or the card stands out amongst the other cards. Healers get a lot of love in my experience.
Me too, i always vote for the healers, though i play support. And because of them i deal lots of damage.
That's literally a normal game for a support 😂😂😂😂
As a Mercy main, I try my damndest never to get around THAT MANY RED NAMES. It's not your job to be in the midst of the fight. It's your job to help others get to that point. Goddammit I love playing Mercy.
Ye but if your team are just sitting back and literally not progressing even if your are helping them, when it goes to overtime you may as well take it upon yourself to get on the point, you have nothing to lose. Maybe it will give you enough time for your team to think "Oh shit, the Mercy is say on the point alone, maybe we should go help"
At that point you should switch to soldier 76 get on the point and throw down some healing and fire away at the baddies
I feel so bad for those who main Mercy-- They put up with so much shit lol
y'all i main as d.va and my second is mercy. let me tell you. whenever i have a mercy healing me i try so hard to get the enemies off her back bc i know myself how fucking annoying it can be when your teammates are ignoring you when playing as a support
Literally same. My three mains are D.Va, Mercy, and Pharah in order of how much I like them. I honestly really love being Mercy though. It's really fun for me. D.Va is still my number one tho. ;)
+ShmileyFaceVA i really hate pharah bc she keeps getting me :0
Lol I know. She's difficult to kill but really fun to play!
The amount of times I've been healing my team and a stray reaper just walks through our Reinhardt and *boops* me with his shotguns is unbelievable. ;-;
I HATE REAPER
"don't rain justice on me" LMFAOO
This is legitimately my new favourite channel.
I HAVE NEVER SAID SAME AS MUCH AS ON THIS VIDEO😂😂😂😂😂
Kathy Rodríguez you do notice his mercy isn't that good...
funbum2001
That is fine and all but being Mercy or any support character needs at least someone to look out for 'em. After all, sometimes I even sacrifice myself for three or four rez...
EVERY time I play Mercy, the team never helps me, I'm just there healing them while they let Tracer or someone get by and kill me
and I get focused like hell, everyone hates Mercy
I've been playing this game for less than two days and I can already relate. It's so frustrating but so satisfying when you actually have a good game.
That circle dodging, well done!
THIS IS SO ACCURATE IT HURTS 😂😂😂😭😭😭
When you have 17 health left and the person your healing takes a health pack right in front of you.
You forgot when your teammates spam "i need healing" but you're all the way at the spawn point because no one protected you :^)
