Best video I’ve seen in a while. The part with the beetle at the end got me
Call it coincidence or a sign from God; it was sweet.

I love this video! Brings back memories of my granddad who I lost 3 years ago. So glad you got the chance to go for a ride with him. Thanks for making!!
Thanks for the kind words!
What a beautiful tribute to your grandfather. I’m so sorry for your loss.
Thank you for the kind words! It means a lot.
from one car guy to another, that was beautiful. he sounded like the cool granpa we all wanted
I too share the story of my first love for cars starting with the original Herbie movies. My dad was a much older father and I was very fortunate to have him in my life until I was 26. He shared so many stories of all the cars he had owned from the 40's 50's 60's and 70's that were either iconic or rare. For a very long time my dad had searched to find his "exact" first car. Seriously...the exact one ! He had heard stories of people actually managing this. After several years of hunting it down using title searches through the state and posts in magazines, newspapers and I helped with online forums and groups...WE finally found his exact 1941 Hudson that hadn't been registered since 1972 in a barn not super far away from our home in Western Pennsylvania. Unfortunately...4 days before we were to go buy it back and bring it home...my dad got real sick and it ended up being put off. Fast forwarding 5 months, I lost my dad to leukemia and we never fulfilled his dreams of restoring his first car before he died. I do stay connected to the current owner of the Hudson to this day and even though its been 8 years since initial contact... I now have my own wish and hope to buy my Dads first car and restore it to its original luster !!! I live on a tight budget so its extremely hard to come up with $2,500 they want for my Dads old car but someday soon !!!! Someday I hope !!!
Wow, that's an amazing story. Cars truly do bring people together. Thanks for sharing!
The smile on your face when you had your grandfather in that Tesla spoke volumes to me. My grandparents are long gone, and I cherish my memories of them. I thank God you were able to spend that time with him. Great video.....and the Beetle at the end.......speechless
What a beautiful story told through a beautiful film. If there are Teslas up there in Heaven, I'll bet your grandpa is having a great time driving one right now. Thank you for this - you made my day.
That ornament is amazing.
What a great story. Sorry to hear about Pap. This lasting memory will always be there to show what a wonderful man he was.
I cried so hard, this was beautiful and sad at the same time.

What a lovely story. Thanks so much for sharing this Joe.
Thanks for the kind words, Steve
Joe, ya shmuck ya. The heck you had to make me well up like this. Jeez. And yes. The beetle at the end was a sign. He was just letting you know that he is ok.
Aww, sorry for making you cry. But you're right, he's forever immortalized in this video. This was my tribute to him.
@@AutoMoments of course I said that to you lovingly. But I tell you, I think you out did yourself, and I know this man would be so proud of you. There is no doubt in my mind.
As much as I love the cars themselves...it's the people and the memories that really make life go on. Thanks for sharing your story, Joe.
Thank you so much. You're absolutely right!
your grandpa seemed like such a sweet man. may he rest in peace. he reminded of my father who recently passed. thank you for posting this.
Thank you for the kind words!
Fantastic video, Joe. I was blessed to know your grandfather. He told me one time when he worked moving cars for a dealership that was relocating. He had to drive them less than a mile to get to their new property. He said when he drove a Mustang he made sure that he really "opened her up!" I loved it. Praying that all is well for Theresa and the rest of the family.
Thank you Tom!
Wow. Very well done. Memories for the rest of your life. May your Grandpa rest in peace.
Thank you for the kind words.

Holy crap, you are young. I feel old now. Great video, though. I am glad you made the ride with your grandpa happen. Very touching.
Thanks for watching!
Truly your best effort to date Joe, well done It was more a family than a car video, wonderful to see the joy you both had enjoying each other's company, the Tesla was just the medium through which it occurred.
I feel you can have pride in the success of the company as a relative of the man it was named after.
THank you so much for the kind words.
Excellent tribute to your grandpa. I'm so glad you were able to have that ride with him. He so enjoyed it!

My Condolances to you, Joe, on the death of your Grandpa. My Dad just passed in October at the age of 80. His first car was a '54 Chevy. My first car was an AMC Hornet, and my Grandpa, who died years ago, owned a Matador Barcelona sedan when I was a kid. Always enjoy your videos, especially the Ambassador videos.
Thank you so much, and thanks for watching!

Damn, man... I got something in my eye. This video proves that videos with high number of views are not the best ones. But rather videos like this. Thanks for touching my heart. Gdad was a great guy, you should be proud. Greetings from Serbia!
Thanks for watching! I'm so glad you enjoyed it. Even if it didn't get a lot of views, I'm glad it meant something to you.

When I clicked play I wasn't expecting this to bring me to tears. Thank you for sharing this Joe. I was also really close with my grandparents and it was lovely to see your connection with your family.
Thank you so much. This was my tribute to a great man, and I'm glad I was able to share it.
Great video. That Gm EV1 was the start of something amazing and if it was improved over the years just think of what it could have been today. Too bad they let it slip right out of their hands because the oil companies wanted all of them destroyed and crushed.
Yeah, it would have been interesting to see how far EV technology would be today if it hadn't stalled out in the early 2000s with cheap gas. Thanks for watching!
This was a super cool video really cool family connection you added in this was a special video for sure

Nikola Tesla Never was a fan of battery powered car, he invented something much greater than this banal car!
