I worked for Kalitta. Had young CPT run us off the runway, mismanaged the thrust levers and didn’t have her hand on the tiller. When we stopped, she started crying. Rather than taxi off and re enter the runway at the start , she simply shoved the thrust levers up and continued the takeoff roll. At the interim stop, she called the chief pilot who brushed the whole incident aside, and added; make sure the FO doesn’t fly the last leg. I should’ve said; if the FO was flying, this wouldn’t have happened. Director of ops and chief pilot are both hacks.

Right? I agree. For years even flying the "regionals" was a shit job. Food stamps, etc. people left cuz they couldnt take it anymore; helping to create todays pilot shortage. I personally know 3 pilot who quit, back in the early 2000's...
Somebody had better write a book about Connie someday soon, a legendary American!
Is that a threat
His shirt fits like a cargo pilot’s.
and he looks 15 years old
If they still had the 747-200s, I would, wanna be a flight engineer !!

@@moronibreitbart6055 ah, I left 3 years ago. All my buddies left for greener pastures as well, so I don't have the inside scoop anymore.
I remember back in the day, the rogue pilots with violations on their record that couldn’t get hired by the major airlines work for Kalitta Air.
Still the way it is.

Oh dear……………..seriously ? How are they even still in business ?
Cargo airlines are usually always profitable because unlike passenger demand, cargo demand is quite regular.

@@savagecub you know right not all cargo is allowed in a passenger plane. There is literally a regulation regarding this.

Indeed and as a captain for a passenger airline I am very happy with this arrangement !
