I disagree with Coner's claims that Dobson just came to survive. I had Dobson winning 3 rounds so it was not a complete whitewashing by any means and he landed some massive shots on Conor. Conor just faced a tough durable competitor. Had nothing to do with him just trying to survive. With all that said I think Conor gets destroyed by Boots and Eubanks. I don't even think he beats Thurman.
Yeah I agree. I watched the highlights after the interview and was thinking.....was Conor in another fight. You got to remember Dobson has a job as a coach too and had 5/6week camp for this.

Conner lucky Dobson was a bit slow, and his corner didnt push him to take advantage of Conner dropping his right everytime he throws a jab and drop his left after every jab and hook. Dobson had minimum hed movement and slow feet,he absorbed all Connor Bens power shots. Connor got the win,cogratulations. He has a lot to tighten up,fair play he hasn't fought for a while.

A lot of people here are forgetting that Dobson came into this fight 16-0. All you can do is beat the man in front of you, and Connor did that. Job well done.

Unless Dobson has a genuine granite chin, which could be possible, Conor's power is questionable. In my opinion, at the moment, he needs to miss Ennis and Ortiz. Stanionis or Thurman would be a major test to see if he's able to compete at that level needed to face the top boys

@Osyrus48 You say Boots and Ortiz haven't fought anyone but they've beaten everyone who has been put in front of them and they have been quite vocal (especially Boots about Bud) with wanting the big fights. But they are both being avoided.
Thurman only started fighting top fighters in his last 5 or so fights and got beat by a passed-it 40yo Pacquiao. He's fought 5 times in the last 7 years and twice in the last 5 years. Just because you're a good fighter and you've been pitted against 3 or 4 decent fighters in your career, if you've been inactive for that long it doesn't give you a free pass to get all the big fights with the top boys. You have to work your way up again. I person believe Thurman would get the win but I'd still like to see him fight Benn. Or, like I said, Benn Stanionis would be a decent match up

Dobson did not turn up Deputy Dooog was kept on a leash. Dobson did have his moments looked like he could have taken Benn out in a couple of rounds had he been committed.Dobson also has a chin. Benn is a scraper rather than a technical Boxer. Benn definitely had the stamina. Dobson did win a few rounds from what I saw. Cannot see Benn really mixing it with some of the other elite Boxers, think Benn will make too many mistakes.
