Always nice to see off road vehicles doing off road things! Excellent pictures at the end. Would've liked to have seen a few taken during the off-roading portions too.

Enjoyed the off-roading quite a bit! Your SUV as outfitted is impressive. Great also to have a winch , and a companion vehicle. I have a more modest off-road vehicle i hope will be taking me and my 50s II to some back areas in the SW US soon. Your handheld shots in this video are astounding! I suspect some of the credit goes to Fujifilm for their IBIS , and some to you for your skill. Good to know what’s possible, though. Thanks!

Thank you. I’d love to explore the US in my SUV. I would like to do the Pan American Highway.

Love to see the adventure side of landscape photography here, it's so much of what draws me to the medium. The exploration, the hunt for the spot at the right time, the connection to nature. It's all here, and very cool to see, well done mate.
Also, that Fuji looks gorgeous! Nothing quite tops the Mamiya 7 for me still, but fun to see.

Thank you 🙏 I hope to show more of this in future videos. Both are excellent cameras for their own reasons. ✌️

Great video and pictures Stephen, I also have an off road car, the Discovery 3, used it off road quite a bit in my younger years, its 15 years old now so I dont get out and about to much now. Keep up the great work and look forward to 2022's video's.

Wow! These handheld shots are amazing! I love shooting handheld landscapes but I am not sure if the 50SII is a good option for that - what do you think? It is more a "tripod camera"?

Thank you. I rarely use it with a tripod. The only time I will use it with a tripod is during twilight.

Hi, I rencently decided to update to gfx system for landscape photography, and I have budget for purchase two lenses.
Which combination you think will be better?
    1. GF 30mm + GF45-100mm
    2. GF 32-64mm + GF 100-200mm
    Thank you

Good question. It’s hard for me to say what combination is better for you. I recommend you look through your portfolio and make your decision based on the focal lengths you have used the most.

Hey Stephen. Nice to see you away on a roadie mate. Yeah, as good as 6 stops of IS, is - the maths are that 125th sec plus 6 stops are 0.5 sec. You actually did well of these were all hand held particularly at .1.1 sec. Given the DR recovery fo this sensor though, you could easily undercook it by a stop at minimum at half a second and get it pin sharp too. Win win. Hope you are well mate! Regards, Ewan

I'll stick to the more proper roads with my Outback, I don't need the excitement. Glad you had fun though. That was a strange result with the unacceptable blurriness on the edge of that image.

My opinion: if you want to photograph and show the beauty of nature, you shouldn't plough through landscapes and through rivers with huge stinkers like those offroad SUVs. Just use your legs and it can become a real adventure, rather than leaving broad traces like dinosaurs.

Thanks for sharing what adventure looks like for you. You must have missed the part where I said we are driving on a old public road ✌️
