Thanks Marcus and Synchro Arts, a couple of useful new features in there. But I wonder what the upgrade path is going to be from Vocalign 5. I have a horrible feeling it's going to be something like 50% off but there's no way that these features are worth 50% of the purchase price. But maybe I'll be wrong because there's nothing specific yet in my account.
Woah!!!! Unbelievable. Turns out that the reason there's nothing in my account is because I don't get any discount as a vocalign 5 ultra user. To be honest, I'd assume this would be a free upgrade or a very nominal cost because this adds nothing especially useful except for continued support (which I do value). I mean, process groups, harmony tuning, darker GUI and better sync points? Maybe they will turn out to be useful (although not at first glance) but it's not a new version, it's just a point upgrade at best. And you want to charge your vocalign 5 users full price to get those features? I mean, it should be free or nominal cost. I can't even begin to comment on the absurdity of Synchro Arts thinking that a reasonable way to treat existing customers. Honestly, it's beyond contemptuous and I'm genuinely lost for words. So, why do I care (since I'm obviously not going to pay for this tiny update)? Because I paid a decent amount of money for vocalign 5 ultra and do find it useful and they will no doubt be pulling support for it and stopping any kind of enhancements or bug fixes going forward. What a disgrace.
@@bigstewdioagreed. They’re asking me to pay full price (not offering any crossgrade price) as a vocalign 5 ultra owner. But other people are getting discounts. It’s like they don’t have a clue what they’re doing. This is so absurd.
@@hightyde yup, I'm spitting mad tbh. Given that the new features are, at best, nice to have I wouldn't be expecting to pay for them since I've already paid a lot of money for vocalign 5 ultra. Maybe something nominal I'd be happy to pay to continue to get support but that's it. What they are "offering" is beyond a joke.
@@bigstewdio I appreciate you being as vocal about this as I am. Like you said, this update seems “middling” at best. Nothing groundbreaking. So I wouldn’t expect to pay more than 50% MAX. But full price? Bahahaha. Go eff yourselves, syncroarts!
@@hightyde you'd pay 50%, that's $175, for the additional features?! Let's list them: process groups (which may be useful but not something I've ever wanted), smarttune (ditto), better sync points (not sure what this is but it's listed), an undo feature and a darker GUI. This feels like a pure and simple money grab, nothing more and I'm sure the LANDR takeover of synchro arts is behind this. Bleed the customers without developing the product. It's not uncommon at the moment in the industry (izotope, plugin alliance, avid) but I say goodbye to anybody with this philosophy.
Hello Everyone, Out of curiosity, when you use VocAlign and align the vocals, and everything sounds great, is it normal for those changes to be visible only in the VocAlign timeline and not in the DAW timeline? It's absolutely confusing... Just wanted to know if you've had the same experience.
Hello, this is normal until the results are rendered/bounced - the audio event in your DAW’s timeline won’t update automatically. If you're using VocAlign as an ARA Event FX, there will be a orange “render” button in the Inspector’s (f4) Event section when the event in question is selected.
Hello! The “edit with VocAlign” command in the Audio menu is hard-coded in Studio One, and needs both a minimum version of Studio One, and the VST3 version of the plug-in to be enabled. For VocAlign 6, it needs an up to date Studio One 6 for the menu item to appear. The ARA version of the plug-in can still be clicked and dragged to the audio event from the FX browser (some versions of Studio One will require holding Alt/Option while clicking and dragging for the ARA Event FX) or added to the Event FX Insert list near the bottom of the Inspector. Hope this helps!
HELP PLEASE I have FL Studio 20 & I have no idea how to use it on my DAW 😩 I Read the instructions and there is no "quick start guide" for my particular DAW
Hello! VocAlign can’t use a full instrumental as a timing guide. It’s designed to match two similar signal types, like two monophonic vocal tracks, rather than more general beat matching. I hope this helps!
@@synchro_arts are you creating any software what i ask for in the near future it would be dope vocalign can follow a instrumental or the drums project shouldnt restrict to vocal alone
ARA (Audio Random Access) is a technology that lets audio software (like DAWs) and plugins communicate with each other efficiently. Instead of forcing you to transfer or process audio in multiple steps, ARA allows plugins to access the audio in your project directly and in real time. Hope this helps.
Sad that such a great content creator has to be affiliated with such a scummy company. Crazy what they're trying to charge loyal users for a minimal update on a product. I'll be happy to see the downfall of all these greedy companies.
We appreciate your feedback and understand your concerns about the price point. VocAlign 6 introduces several new time-saving features that we feel offer significant improvements in functionality and efficiency. The highlights include a much-improved UI, Pro Tools ARA compatibility (launching soon), innovative feature SmartPitch which intelligently matches/tunes the pitch of your whole vocal stack, and improved sync points for better processing.

What a joke, next they will be charging monthly for v7! So sick of these companies being stingy and adding small changes for outrageous prices!
