Diplomatic Reception 2022

In commemorating the 77th Indonesian Independence Day, the Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia in Lisbon successfully held a Diplomatic Reception on 23 September 2022 at the Hyatt Regency Lisbon.
A total of 200 guests from the Portuguese government officials, diplomatic corps, friends of Indonesia, the Indonesian diaspora, and the Embassy's counterparts attended the reception.
The Embassy would like to express the highest appreciation to the Guests of Honor who have so kindly given their time to attend our Diplomatic Reception: 1) Minister for Communications and Informatics of the Republic of Indonesia, H.E. Mr. Johnny G. Plate, and 2) Minister for Science, Technology, and Higher Education of the Republic of Portugal, H.E. Mrs. Elvira Maria Correia Fortunato.
Ambassador Rudy Alfonso highlighted the importance of solid cooperation and concrete measures to ensure the global community’s resilience towards any future pandemic, emphasized the very long standing bilateral relations which traced back to the presence of Portuguese culture in Indonesia as well as underlined the Indonesian G20 Presidency in 2022 and ASEAN Chairmanship in 2023.
