- People frequently think that a 100cc/125cc Motorcycle/Scooter can't cover a long distance. The engine will heat up,seize and fail but it is a myth. A small engine vehicle can also survive for very long trip but the main thing is the way of driving. Any vehicle if driven at its maximum speed for a long time then it will create problem and may seriously affect the engine components and finally it may fail or can completely seize. A small engine vehicle have low maximum speed and can be easily reached on free highway Roads which makes it vulnerable for overheating and failure.If a small engine vehicle is driven with care and under limited speed then it can easily cover a long trip without any issue. In this video I covered all the important points related to small engine vehicle ,what makes them to fail and how to avoid failure of vehicle.

I agree with it,I used Bajaj super scooter for 1200km stretch the way u r going now(year 2010)..it also a old one,no problems faced.

I would add one more point to this video, for long distance trips take short breaks of 15 minutes every 150km, so engine cools down a bit and we can refresh ourself taking tea or snacks.
Very important point. One of my friend, driving from Goa to Manipal,tried to cover the whole distance in one go. He slept while driving and hit one Govt Bus with his Royal Enfield Electra. Spent 2 years in Hospital and operation with a massive bill of around 35 lacks.
Lesson learnt:must take rest after few hours while driving.
I think 150 km is more, it should be 80 - 100 km for 100 cc scooty.

Maine v yehi kia tha mere scooter ke sath...mera 113 cc pe maine continue 6 hour chalaya hai 415 km whole day aur speed maintain kia tha 60 approx very smooth ride kia hai gari...koi over heating issue nehi hua aur har 70 km pe break lia...sabse achi bat hai ki isne 60 average mileage v dia hai trip pe...

I have 125 cc Vespa, I did it 600 kilometres from Bengaluru to Hyderabad speed 70-80 kph with three stops for breakfast, lunch and tea. There was no problem. I am 70+

Better use fully synthetic oil of the same grade. Normal oil won't sustain the heat, as a scooter engine is covered and receives less air compared to a motorcycle.

That's 125cc bike with 5 gears...Even riding at 85+ on that bike will be no problem...

I have watched this video many times. You are an inspiration to 100 cc riders who has great passion to go for long rides. I usually go for long rides ( less than 450 km in day ). I always follow your directions. 60-65 is my cruising speed.

long rides on 100cc. no problem . but use semi synthetic or full synthetic oil. very important is maintain speed below 65kmph. and take break every 70kms.

During these covid days lot of people are doing long trips on Scooty......splendour .....passion....etc. try to understand bike. Travel @60 kmph. Take rest every two hours. At least 15 minutes. Dil hai tho hero puch se Safar chalega lamba.....

Honda Activa Suzuki Access 125 or similar scooter will not be safe for very long rides because chances of belt breaking of increases.High speeds above 90 kmph on these type of scooters is also not correct.

I have hf dawn bike with single hand use. In my opinion riding 1oo cc bike 65 kms./ Hour is burden to engine. Always ride bike at 40 kms/ hour. Economical speed for bike is 40kms/ is best.if you are on long tour it shoud be 45 kms/ hr. Take 10 minutes rest under tree at every 50kms. Ride.Load on bike max.should be around 115 k.g.If we follow this bike will be safe with good average.

But definitely it needs a little break for every 80 km
Long drive mein Kya same 10w30 grade ka oil daalna chahiye ya 20w40? Because 10w30 bahut patla oil hota hai.

Can you please explain the braking procedure if someone or some animal suddenly come in front of your bike at highway ?
Always use combination of both brakes. Applying single brake (front or rear) may lead to skidding.
ABS is the best in such situation. These days new motorcycles are coming with This technology.
At that moment use front or rear brake togeather and decrease all gears as soon as possible.
Both breaks without clutch....
