The fact that the character shows emotion and actually 'does something' during the special movement made my heart warm, that was so adorable and i hope to see that on other breeds as well!
I really like that this horse moves like it has all its weight to it. A bulky breed isn't going to move very fast or gracefully and I think they nailed the fact that it's so much bigger than other breeds. And the coats? Stunning. Good job SSO ❤
I like how they really tried to add weight in the Animations for a heavier breed, but i don't think they really achieved what they wanted, the fast gallop looks amazing, but the canter and the slow gallop come of as short-strided rather than heavy. I think the team has done a very good job at adding the feeling of weight in other horse breeds already.
Yeah I agree! It just looks like the horse has an unnatural short stride! But I’m so happy with the special animation. Our character aren’t lifeless for once. And the coats are all really nice imo. I love that they remembered the ardennes aren’t tall just thick and wide
@@wikitygrysfirst horses i rode were coldblooded and draft horses as well, its completely true that they dont have as much reach as warmbloods for example, but in the canter, the animation looks way too heavy on the forehand imo. I like what they did for the walk, trot and full gallopp.
Love to see the draft horses getting the attention they deserve! And am so thankful they chose to avoid a docked tail option, as that is the harsh norm of draft horses in society today! Probably going to buy at least 3 or 4 of them. That's got to be the most of any breed I'll ever get, lol! 💖💖
I just absolutely adore this horse! It is very good looking and all of the animations look very organic! This looks like a real horse! I do appreciate the Star Stable Producers making another draft horse! Personally they are my favorite and I would love to have more options! I will definitely be getting at least one. Most likely the dappled bay. I love the bays lol
I’m just so happy to see SSO really improving. It has been a rough couple of years for all of us I think, personally I thought SSO was dying, with all of the backlash and this awkward phase of no content and the community being upset. But we are all witnessing an improvement, with Hollow Woods being updated and the team giving us long lasting content and amazing events that we all look forward to, it’s truly amazing to see. The patience and passion we have for this game has really payed off. I feel like they have actually listened. I’m over the moon seeing the subtle, yet huge differences they make to make the game good. Btw these horses are amazing and I’m so excited. I love draft horses, this is a dream come true.

You said something here that I have been getting annoyed by for YEARS!! When the horses jump, they don’t even reach the ground before the animation stops, but now I’ve realized they do on both the Ardennes and the Dutch Warmblood! 😍 SSO really improved everything!

As a owner of an (swedish) Ardennes horse i was so worried that they would have messed them up and make them too much like warmbloods in their gait (as they always do with the draft breeds in my opinion..), but im actually happy with them. They got the size, the soft face and eyes and the heavier gaits right. A big plus is that the flaxen chestnut looks like my boy in real life, so i couldnt be happier😌
I’m super excited for this hunk of chunk, I’ve always been impressed with how SSO has managed to make horses “feel” a certain way when riding. They did a phenomenal job with the weight of this horse (and how happy the rider was with the sit? ADORABLE!)
I am really glad so many people love this horse. I don't see a single negative comment about them yet. I am absolutely not a chunky horse person so they do not appeal to me in the slightest but it is so great to see everyone else loving these horses
So wow.. first of all thanks so much cc creations for another great video. I always get so happy when I see you’ve posted. My initial thoughts when I first look at these horses are, chunky as sso promised, I find the dark bay and a few others has A LOT of hair down on the hooves but not as obvious on the light bay. I’m not sure about this two coloured mane but look, I’m sure the sso community will love it ❤
I truly love it. They did an amazing job with this one. I’ve grown up around Ardennes and North Swedish horses so they hold a special place in my heart. I wish they could redo the North Swedish horses as well. They have come so far in creating horses and I am so impressed!!

NEW BEST HORSE EVER. I love the drafts, but this one takes the cake! It isn't overexaggerated like the percheron, and they still make the breed slightly heavy! I love them! Going to get them as soon as they come out! I mean exaggerated as in dragging hooves terribly, and slightly wonky like the percheron. No hate on star stable though! (This is the edit)
I love seeing how star stable gets even more realistic every new horse (even more when the the new characters have been out) I’ve been playing since 2017 and the improvement is shocking. So heartwarming …

They are finally improving the elasticity in the animation in the stifle and hip area and it's so nice to see it keep connection instead of looking like a separate part on the older gen 3 horses. Excited for this one!
I get what you mean about "too far in," I think SSO was trying too hard to make it look like a heavy breed but they also forgot the fact that they are strong enough to move their legs and extend their stride out a bit more 😅

The coats are beautiful, the animations are amazing and super fluid, the horse in general is extra cute, the special move is unic and super duper cute, and smile of the character…. For those of you saying they’re stiff: this is how they move. They aren’t as flowy and soft and as pretty lovers as others but that’s reality. They’re heavy horses, what do you expect ?
The horses look really beautiful, as far as spoilers go. SSO did a great job when it comes to such "winter" horses! I am extremely proud of them. These fetlock brushes, their body weight, appearance... Everything is hooked up so that the horses look dazzling. Good job. All the ointments stole my heart at first sight. The shading is (for me) wonderful! I can't wait to see them published in the game. Once again, congratulations.
YES LOOK AT THAT NECK IN THE GALLOP ITS SO GOOD!!! I'm in love with this horse ❤ finally a horse that doesn't look so stiff, and the walking animation looks like a full cycle compared to the shire where it looks like its incomplete. I am so excited
And the coat detail!! From the corn marks to roaning, the whisker marks on the muzzle and those dapples, ugh! This horse is gorgeous. The animations are fantastic and the chisp but not overwhelming coats is just to die for. This might be the first horse I purchase every colour for other than the Arabian/pintarabians and Pasos
I'm already in love with the bay roan, I will be buying that one for sure. The gaits are nice too, they're cute and I actually like the little kick they do when jumping. It's on the Finnhorse as well, and it's pretty neat.

Caused by the agouti gene which distributes black pigment on the coat and the roan dilute gene adds the roan of course! Red roans have the roan gene added on the chestnut gene so it does not have black points! That was a bit scientific but hopefully you can understand!
I love the snowflake dapple grey (not sure that's what it's called but they look like snowflakes to me). I also love that it starts to drift off to sleep while idle. So cute!! Can't wait to get one!
I just love this horse, i think that it's one of the best horses sso has ever released, and even the thing that you can put on legwraps and boots adds a very nice touch. The animations are on point with the breed since it's a heavy draft and not to talk about the coat colors, they are magnificent. This said by a draft lover.
Not gonna lie, this is the first time in a loong time that I’m positively surprised. A new horse that DOESN’T have awful animations? All the other recent breeds have had beautiful models but the animations always disappoint me, being weird and unfinished, but these ones actually look fine. The only thing that’s missing to the breed is some polishing on the coats to make them less matte and plasticy.
I really wish they can fix our avatars a bit more because I hate how big they look on all horse breeds, i miss when the horse was the center of attention every time I rode them but now I just focus on how huge the avatars looks. But the horse is super cute!!
I swear the first brown one (the one that was used to show us the gaits) looks almost exactly like my own draft crossbreed! Also the face shape looks a lot like her! Maybe she is part ardenner horse
i cant believe i cant find anyone disliking them lol. They look so lame, and I can’t stand how odd their neck looks (obviously, it’s meant to be short but it should still look proportional. SSO has really struggled with necks recently, as the DWB has a really weird one too). I do like how chunky they are though, and the thought behind the animations to make them seem ‘heavy’.

The only fault I can find is that they seem too short backed and long legged. Ardennes ( atleast from the pictures I found) seem to have a longer back and shorter legs. Also maybe the neck could be a tad longer and the head smaller. But for the rest they seem good!
THEY ARE SO PRECIOUS. These horses are going to break my bank. I hope they become less stiff when released, as they look short-strided and... plastic-y? But either way, they're so precious. Can't wait!

I love these breeds. They did way better with these than the Dutch warmvloods. Out of the blue, I haven’t spotted any copied and pasted gaits on the Ardennes. Here are the good things: No copied gaits that I have noticed Mane flows while in the race Looks heavy in its movements Character actually has emotion during special move Cons of this breed Canter and slow gallop look very weird The gray dapple is cloned on each side Model could’ve been done a bit better Neutral: Styles are okay Better than Dutch warm blood ( imo, the Dutch warm blood animations except for trot are knock off walmart version of BW )
Ooooj color 2 really looks like many ardennerna I've seen! Number 1 too! You'll have loved if they were even chunkier if it's even possible in the game but yeah they're really cute 😭 love cold blooded horses 🫶🏼
I love the horses model and the concept and I guess they'll work on the animations a little more but I beg them to make the coat detailing a little more and for this to not actually be final because the Dutch Warmblood has SUCH a detailed coat and this feels a little blank- except the last coat. Not complaining just hoping. My hopes will probably be achieved if the standard of the last horse is held.

I do ride heavy drafts sometimes and they don't really do long strides, this is something that horses bred for sport and speed do

I love drafts in general, as I've met quite a few throughout my riding years and they've always been such gentle chonks

These are one of star stable's best horses so far!! They made them very realistic.

The only fault I can find is that they seem too short backed and long legged. Ardennes ( atleast from the pictures I found) seem to have a longer back and shorter legs. Also maybe the neck could be a tad longer and the head smaller. But for the rest they seem good!
I thought the same thing as first. Especially when I saw spoilers without the mane. The neck is really out of proportion, But they’re growing on me

I love these breeds. They did way better with these than the Dutch warmvloods. Out of the blue, I haven’t spotted any copied and pasted gaits on the Ardennes. Here are the good things:
No copied gaits that I have noticed
Mane flows while in the race
Looks heavy in its movements
Character actually has emotion during special move
Cons of this breed
Canter and slow gallop look very weird
The gray dapple is cloned on each side
Model could’ve been done a bit better

Better than Dutch warm blood ( imo, the Dutch warm blood animations except for trot are

Ooooj color 2 really looks like many ardennerna I've seen! Number 1 too! You'll have loved if they were even chunkier if it's even possible in the game but yeah they're really cute 😭 love cold blooded horses 🫶🏼

I love the horses model and the concept and I guess they'll work on the animations a little more but I beg them to make the coat detailing a little more and for this to not actually be final because the Dutch Warmblood has SUCH a detailed coat and this feels a little blank- except the last coat. Not complaining just hoping. My hopes will probably be achieved if the standard of the last horse is held.
