If you actually cook food in the pan, instead of abusing it, I'm sure it will work just fine. ;) Haven't tried the Gotham, but if it's titanium/ceramic, it's basically the same technology as Scanpan's CTX pans, however at a fraction of the Scanpan's price. It's nothing new, and it definitely works.

I Bought a 12 inch Gotham pan. I know how to use it, and I love it. No greased up food. There is a deference to the other ceramic pans it has a thicker coat of ceramic. That is why the price is higher. Any way I will not use metal utensils with it nor with the green life set I have . I use rubber, wood, or plastic utensils only.

Don't buy this pan or anything else from Gotham. I have two pans from Gotham including 1 Red bottom, seasoned them as instructed yet they both are horrible already. Not only that, if you buy retail the customer service is terrible and to get a replacement you have to pay as much as the pan again in shipping charges both ways. How anyone gives any more than one star for this product seems shady when there are so many complaints.

Mine went bad a month or so after I bought it. I used mine a lot and fry without oil or butter. Early on, my pan started to discolor on the outside bottom, then it would discolor and then burn on the inside around the outside and onto the inside bottom. I can no longer fry an egg in the pan without it sticking. I found it will not take high heat at all, so forget searing your meat in this pan.
I have nothing that will clean this pan....nothing. So after a year or so of use I find it's no longer usable, so I'm getting the Copper Chef to see if it is any better. Wish me luck. Oh yes, do not use metal utensils because the pan will scratch just like yours did.

This pan sucks balls! It lasts about 4 days of using it gently and after that everything sticks to it. With or without oil, it doesn't matter. Second problem is that it's impossible to clean after something burns on the surface. I used oven cleaner and hard plastic spatulas to scrape off residue and it seems like it fuses to the "nonstick " coating. I can't recommend thia to anyone who is looking for a hightech pan. Just use stainless steel or cast iron pots and pans that you need to "season"! They work 100%!

Before I used the seconded one I read the directions and they suggested "seasoning" the pan before you use it (you wipe it down with cooking oil and but it in the oven at about 350 degrees for 20 minutes as best I remember) and it has performed and lasted much better. Would be interested to know if you seasoned your plan before you started.

This Gotham steel-titanium pan employs non-ferrous/titanium do not use it on an induction stove--the type used here. Reminding that for a pan to effectivily-accurately heat on an induction heater, the pan should be made of a ferrous (iron and magnetic) metal. The advertised claim involved baking the chocolate chip mixed with sweet milk then topped with marshmellows and baked (not fried like here) at 500 degrees F.

Morons is right! In the commercial, they cook fried eggs, sunny side up and an omelet. The chocolate chip/marshmallow thing uses sweet milk in the middle, not peanut butter - and it's cooked in the oven, not on the stove. I've seen a few You Tube video reviews and the pan is a disaster if used as shown in the commercial. The fried eggs stick to the pan and burn. The chocolate chip thing is worse with the chocolate sticking to the pan and the sweet milk turning the whole thing into a soup. If you use butter or oil and use it like a regular ceramic coated pan, it's alright. Try this You Tube review: "Gotham Steel Pans Review | HighYa"

I use no spray oils, only rubber/plastic spatulas, medium-low heat and this pan is crap! To clean it after is a chore as well as I can't get stuff off unless I use baking powder. Being returned and I recommend that you do another review after you have actually cooked something more than scrambled eggs, but even these stick and especially if you put cheese in them. Bacon sticks so badly that you can't add fried eggs afterwards without the yolks all breaking. :(

Wild Eye if u want pans you can scrape as hard as you can with a fork, burn your eggs ,or run over with your truck, u might be an unstable person ...you can’t do that with 1000$ restaurant pans !! Lol .. copper chef is a good pan for the price 80 bucks for 10 piece set ...if u want indestructible call tony stark or something
