Nice tractor. I would want a radio and I don’t know what I would use the loader for but aside from that it looks like it would be a nice upgrade from my mom’s old MF 240.
I looked at the 4608 at 0:25 in the background and concluded that while my snow blowing would love a fully framed utility tractor, the machine was way too big to weed around in the woods on my property. I hope you're enjoying your Massey!
SMV sgn is not in the way of hook ups, just appears so from cab, Massey have always accepted three point equipment with or without original top link, something to check on with other tractors, re: if you have a generic top link, take it with you when shopping tractors, try it out. Massey has always had, in my experiences oil filters/ fuel filters that were never the closest thing to the ground, something to check on other tractors, if anyone has used any old tractors they know that all these new tractor conviences on all these new tractors are supremely more ergonomically set up. The heaters on tractors are interesting, more air outlets mean less noise through lower air speeds, a dbl edged sword at 20 below trying to keep fog off lower window surfaces. Anyway take it or leave it, sime if my experiences since 1975.
The main thing I would be worried about on a tractor like that one with the cab on it is hooking up attachments and the inability to do so without having two people to hook it up. The hazard placard is in the way on that tractor and I am surprised that someone didn't catch that when developing the system.
I checked out a 1759/new 1760m that is coming out and the dealer wants 36K for an open station with a loader. An LS XR4155 is around 28K. Not sure why the MF is so much higher, but i was told it is more of a premium tractor - whatever that means??
The Massey's are built robustly, and if the 17060 is an HST version of the 1759, then you're getting a planetary rear end and a tougher loader than the entire class along with more weight.
As I recall, the hydros come with extra controls that don't flourish on open stations. Massey did the same thing when they offered a dayna power shuttle on their MF1660: cab only.
So did you end up with one of these? One reason i was looking at the 1759/1760m is that they also come with the larger front tires over the other models.
I ended up with a Kioti. I would not purchase another Kioti because the American Importer doesn't support their product and denied me warranty without ever seeing my tractor at a dealer.
In my initial impression I thought the Massey chassis was more rugged. I Wanted HST and due to knee and hip issues, I cannot stand the treadle pedals used by Kubota as they are painful for me.
chuck172, at the time I made this video, I did not have my Kioti. Initial impression wise, I felt the Massey was a more robust machine, but the cab layout in the Kioti was better for me with the PTO and throttle all well within reach of the seat without any bending. This was and is a big deal to me as I have a very bad back. Too bad too because the Massey are, in my mind, hands down pretty tractors. At some point when it gets warmer, I plan to talk a lot more about Kioti, and my Kioti tractor.
this man loves his kubota

Your vids sparked my tractor fixation last spring. Ended up getting a Massey Ferguson 4608, but started with a test drive of a 1756.

Yeah, maneuverability is an issue, and so is ground compaction.

The SMV sign isn't in the way of the three-point, but it is in the way of looking at the three-point from the driver's seat.

You can take out the sign it design for that
good machine

For some reason they don't offer a hydro on the 1760M unless you get a cab, which makes no sense to me.

Best? Kubota or massey?

did i here u say gas u meant diesel there is a big diffrence...
why don't you compare it to your Kioti?

Do you know who makes the engine in the MF now?
Mitsubishi, as I recall, manufactures the entire tractor.
Thanks for this.
Shibaura now with the 1700M series
