That man passed away at 25 years old and now 27 years later and people can still listen to 2pac and kids are studying college courses based on 2pac he left this world with so much for us to appreciate and it's so awesome.
2Pac Tuesday ! 🔥2Pac was on another Level with his insight into the World .He just knew so much in his young life here the Lyrics are genius always 👌 liked the blend on this song too ! Thanks guys😊
Shawn didn't like the original, but I used to LOVE it. Broken Wings was one of my favorite songs from my senior year in high school. I loved hearing Gina say, "I can't believe you don't like that song." I still love it, which made for an incredible Tupac mix/callobo for me personally.
Great Pac reaction as always. A few I would love to watch you guys listen to: Starin Through My Rearview Never Had a Friend Like Me Lost Souls Smile (with Scarface)
You skipped over the "had her mumbling like a Mexican," and in today's world I can understand why. But an interesting detail about that is that Johnny J produced the original to this track, and he was Mexican. By the way, Johnny J is easily my favorite producer that worked with Tupac. He was absolutely masterful, and was the perfect 1-2 punch when paired with Tupac.
@@kings17court you know what,,,, it's crazy that Danny Boy and Johnny J's careers went downhill after Pac died... for real. Like nobody picked them up and said I'm just gonna copy and be successful too. pure layups bro.
Tupac's music post 1993 is the perfect example of the power of speaking things into existence. His last three albums in particular was basically him saying good bye to his fans, because he knew his time on earth was running out.
The original song, over a different beat with a different hook, was called til the end of time. Check that one out. It samples Stevie Wonder's 'Loves in need of love'.
Shouting out pac on his birthday. Just to clarify, if you haven't been made aware or figured it out, 2pacs lyrics was a combination of his personal life and everyday life of the average Black person in America. So before he was successful, he lived that life, and never forgot or ignored the people of those communities from which he came. So that's why his songs sound like conversations. They are, to anyone, anywhere, who can relate. And that's what made him, the iconic figure he is today. It's been almost 30yrs.. His music couldn't be more relevant today. RIP Tupac Amaru Shakur. Love and Miss you bro.
@@ReactionsToTheClassics Thank you for the appreciation and understanding of the culture. We need more open minded people in the world, such as yourselves. " Eternally my mission, is to be more than just a rap musician, the elevation of today's generation, if I could make them listen".
This is my second favorite song by Pac. That said when these devils kill me I want this song played at my funeral. RIP PAC the true goat and voice of the hood and lost souls. 🔥✍🏽🙏🏽
@@ReactionsToTheClassics yes it is. I was wondering if you could react to OutKast. I see you guys react to Kendrick so I think y’all would love their lyrics. Best rap duo in hip hop history. Thanks for doing what y’all are doing. Hip hop is life 🔥✍🏽🙏🏽
Shawn and Gina, You are back with another 2Pac video. I see what you mean about 2Pac recording his version of that song. I recognize that song about Broken Wings, and he adds his style of Hip Hop to the song. I thought 2Pac made this blend of songs work. It has a catchy music rhythm and dark but powerful lyrics. You both made good points while explaining the lyrical meaning, and I agree Shawn that 2Pac 's music just as relevant now as back then.
I always felt he was talking about Biggie and this song. Felt like he disguised the song. But definitely I think he was explaining some of him and Biggies situation. Think he added things and took things out. When he writes his songs most of the time the person or people he's trying to reach gets it even if we don't. I've listened to it many times. Not a apology to Big but an explanation.
Simply love your reactions to Tupac….and love y’all..please do more..o am watching them all…oh yeah a new movie is in the works called “Tupac the great getaway “ or something to that fact..so many people still believe that he is still alive..he got shot and lived for 6 days then pronounced dead but his mom and aunt was last one saw him alive..no one even saw the body exit the hospital ..it was so many people outside the hospital that it was told that the family exited from another part of the hospital and was cremated hours later..but Tupac started reading all Mackavelii”s books(the art of war/a man who faked his own death) but came back 18 years later..the last 11months of his life he was calling himself makaveli..then makaveli album started being made..after it was finished he died RIGHT BEFORE RELEASE..people think he got tired of the life he was living and faked his own death..because the first time he got shot 5 times he checked his own self out of the hospital and had a privy nurse at home..he always thought people were out to get him and hospitals were to open
Interesting and perplexing comment. In any form of entertainment comparisons are made. Really in about anything in life, it is not disrespectful for either party.
I love this song and 2pac is my all time favorite artist. His songs bring an emotional quality and storytelling that most artists just can't touch. I got a little chuckle where you made him hooking up with his friends sister sound muchhh more polite than how he put it lol . Great review 👍
I like the way you guys go over the song at the end of the review but I must say pac’s Delivery & emphasis in certain words also breath control is dynamic I must say the song Doesn’t sound dated
Lol. Yalls reaction reminds me of college. I went to the university of Texas and it was exactly as pac describes in the lyric.. As a black woman, it was the gaslighting for me. I was prepared for racism but what I got was full out white supremacy. I knew how to handle discrimination and hate based ignorace but what do you do when forced to assimilate into predefined roles of blackness to promote and protect whiteness? No one would mistake me for ghetto or hoodrat.. thats obvious. But to be pressured to be the "token" black whose purpose is to explain the ways of the negro and handout merit badges to the woke white, Chinese, Indian etc students for knowing their trivia about the culture. The one black friend in the group who can give you an honorary black card and make you feel better about your privilage. Forever humble and understanding and ok to bring home over Thanksgiving break because I talk and dress just like you. Or be the bostrious loud crazy demonstration of blackness here to serve as the life of the party. The tell you like it is and constantly proclaim to everyone that my black is beautiful. The clown whose blackness is the magic trick. Either role was the way to acceptance. All the other black students got the gift of being in blissful sleep in the matrix and I was cursed to see the hussle for what it was and frankly, I couldn't do it. But to see all the other black students fall in line so willingly and not realize it left me feeling very isolated. Once the professor in theater class asked me and the only other black person in the whole lecture hall class why black women wear weave? The other black girl was so happy to speak as if she were the representative of all black people. Never seeing how trifling it is to assume all black people have the same motivations for anything. anyway, this tupac song kept me sain. "What I can see is closer to achieve. In times of danger- don't freeze; time to be a G. Follow my lead. I'll supply everything you need. An ounce of game and the trainin' to make a G. Remember me, as an outcast,- outlaw...."
