    While I worked at a prison in the US, I met some guys who worked for Escobar back in the day. To put it in perspective Escobar has been dead for nearly 30 years and these guys still don't lack for money.

    He had so much money he offered to pay off Columbia's entire national debt if they didn't pass extradition laws. He was also at one time making the same, if not more, as IBM in the 80's.....tax free.

    I think that his downfall was his effort to become a politician. I believe he started blowing up buildings after his failed campaign. Nice reaction, by the way!

      The rule is that a gangster can get their relatives into politics, but never themselves. Their friends on both sides of the law don't like the attention.

    The netflix show Narcos if you haven’t seen is based around him and the Medellin cartel in my opinion its really good

    Pablo's downfall was bc of Los Pepe's. A gang formed from the families whose in loved ones were killed by Pablo. They were ruthless. Pablo only had one bodyguard left when he was killed.

    Strongly recommend narcos on Netflix. About Pablo Escobar and his rise to power it is very very well done. The acting is great

    Would suggest a show called Narco Wars. First season is the South American dug lord timeline to present day. First person who brought it over was a lady called griselda blanco. Pablo worked for her. When she died he took over.

      No they had no association. No way he took over after her death considering she died in 2012. Pablo was still boosting cars when she was in Medellin. By the time she left for the U.S pablo was getting involved in the drug trade. If anything they were rivals.
