This has helped me so much, I memorized when to come in withing 5 minutes and I have a singing test using this song tomorrow so this has helped massively!!
I'm using this music for a performance I'm doing of this song at my school talent show. So glad I found it on here without the servant's interjection from the original!
I love this song. Whoever says they are going to belt this song get singing lessons. NEVER belt that high EVER. If you feel it's a strain use your head voice. If you can't do this song please take the key down, I have the range to do this but I'll never push myself. Please be careful and don't strain you'll regret it when you get nodes and can't sing any more.
Amen
I just realized this comment was 6 years ago lol

THIS is JUST what I need. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
This reminds me of how much i'd love to dance the night away at a ball in a magnificent pink gown. That'd definitely be a night to remember.
better go to a ball then and make your dreams a reality :) there are dance studios that have ballroom dance lessons and give balls or performances :)
I love this song!
I just sang this in my highest octave :D going to upload the video now I love this song :D
Love it while singing along
¡All times classics!
Hot dog, that was high!
Always sing in your head for this. If you can't reach the note easily you cannot sing it in your range. Never try to sing out of your range as you can get nodules, and you will never sing again, just like Julie Andrews incidentally. You can always bring a song down a half or whole tone to make it easier for you, and this was you can enjoy the song and save your voice from irreparable damage :)
Belting is a style of singing where you sing high things that should be in your head voice in your chest voice by singing them loud. It is a very powerful sound, but not one that would be used in this particular song. If you're not a singer yourself, this might not make much sense. Generally, belting is more difficult and can be very damaging to your vocal chords if not done properly. But it's also really fun when you do it right :)
I know exactly what you mean as I have learned how to belt, and how to use the the chest voice (i.e. for belting) and the head voice - breathing from the diaphragm for all other singing. It's a pleasure to have read a comment from someone else who understands singing!
I have just posted a reply to you but you might not see it as (for some reason!) it ended up under a comment by someone called Wikipedo Brown. You may want to search for it. This latter comment from WB is "two down" from yours. Sorry about that!
I posted a reply to you but it ended up under a comment by someone called Wikipedo Brown. You may want to search for it - it's just two down from yours, three down for my comment, if that makes sense! Sorry!
Have you replied to this comment 3 times???
Only if you guys went to my school to seed my fair lady.. my sister did a wonderful job on Eliza and I just don't know how she did it!
Yes, it is in the oringal key, I took voice lessons with that 🎵!
Julie Andrews? LOOOOOOOOOOOOOL
Is this the original key? x
Freddy My Love omg! Freddy 😻
Yes
very beautiful :D
my student said it hehe
Actually, you shouldn't be belting that last note. Of course, some people break that rule, but it isn't safe for your voice. Spare your vocal chords the trouble. :)
Luv this song!:)))
Hi! Loved your video!
Thanks for posting this!
May I use this for my cover?
i'm gonna sing it on talent show. good luck to me!
Nice to sing to it
No, no, no quiero ir a dormir
El día está empezando para mí
No, no, que quiero comprobar
si lo que he sentido es verdad
Quisiera yo bailar
y no parar jamás,
la noche entera así
Quisiera descubrir
lo que con él sentí,
tan nuevo para mí
No sé explicar
que es lo que estoy sintiendo
Yo sólo sé que soy feliz
Quiero bailar, volar
y no parar jamás
Quiero soñar, vivir,
bailar.

A wee geek and weekends work
i love this music very much

Weegie and I are geeks 🤓 ❤
Great - thanks!
I'm singing this at coupland castle todayyyyy whoop whoop
Bed? Bed
Sleep? Sleep
Thankyou
Awwww, I miss Audrey Hepburn...
Don't be me two years ago and belt all songs I ever sang. When you've learned to use a thicker head voice and/or mix you realize belting is quite overrated. I still love belting, but obviously only on power ballads and rock/pop.
(: Amazing. You know, it is hard to hit that last note. You have to be able to belt those high notes
NO do not belt anything in this song. its soft and gentle. also belting can be extremely damaging without proper training. DO NOT BELT ANYTHING IN THIS SONG
@@DarthFeminist If they want to belt they can...You can't tell them not to belt....
It’s so weird though I can do the last high note of le jazz hot that Julie sings but not this one ha ha
This song is soft tho, belting is more for powerful songs, like defying gravity or something like that
@@princ3zzkay if they try to belt it, it won't sound the same. It's supposed to be sung in a head voice
Avrei danzato ancora.
Eliza: No, no, a letto non andrò
perché lo so che poi non dormirò
e se un sogno arriverà
solo ad occhi aperti nascerà.
Avrei danzato ancor
fra le sue braccia ancor
leggera come un fior,
vorrei volar lassù
in mezzo a cieli blu
avrei danzato ancor
fra le tue braccia ancor
tutta la notte, amor, con te.
Sig.ra Pearce: Se vuoi andare a riposare
Sig.ra Pearce e altra domestica: potrai sognare ancor.
Eliza: Da questa sera so
di non lasciarlo mai
è tutto ciò che ho,
desideravo che
danzasse ancor con me
ed ora so perché,
Sig.ra Pearce: Se vuoi andare a riposare
potrai sognare ancor.
avrei danzato ancor
fra le tue braccia, amor
avrei voluto ancor
sognar.

Its to high, other than that I just suck. XDD I WUV THIS SONG!
Well my friend is
M'n liefste wens is nou,
Nu is 't al
weer lang voorbij.
Mijn liefste wens is nou,
I can sing that because it's for speech night and IM only singing
"My head's too* light."
wait I'm really confused this was Audrey Hepburn in My Fair Lady
Julie Andrews did the role on Broadway when it opened in 1956. When the movie was made, Jack L. Warner (Warner Bros.) thought Julie wasn't a big enough name for Hollywood. He signed Audrey Hepburn for the 1964 movie, and her singing voice was dubbed by Marni Nixon. Julie got the last laugh, though, because she won her Oscar for "Mary Poppins" the same year.
What key is this in ? :)
The key of C. Same key in which Julie Andrews sings it. Top note (last note) is a G.
heut' nacht !

What does it mean to "belt" a note?
Marie K. Essentially project
Marie K. Lmao I just noticed that comment is six years old
Audrey Hepburn
Its Audrey Hepburn not Julie Andrews
really?
It's both
Audrey Hepburn was in the 1964 movie (though they dubbed her singing voice over with Marni Nixon, who also sang for West Side Story and the King and I) and Julie Andrews was the original Eliza in the Broadway premiere along with Rex Harrison (who also plays Prof. Higgins in the movie). Julie Andrews however wasn't considered famous enough at the time to be in the movie so they cast Audrey instead, eventually dubbing her over with Marni. This allowed Julie to do Mary Poppins, which famously won her the Oscar over Audrey Hepburn's Eliza.
