I’m hearing a few extra lyrics and vocal touches not on the LP/CD version…no complaints, though…one of the most danceable offerings he’s done in a minute at the time, and over a decade later, I’m glad this found me.
@@lerokine What I said was for the original 5-min version of the song from the full-length release -regardless of format - compared to this edited version.
It's OK. So far a somewhat disappointing release from Dolby. He has created some fantastic music but in my opinion has never exceeded the brilliance of Flat Earth. Every song on that album is genius.
Tom Watson ~ Hmm... That's funny; I'm not at all disappointed by MAP OF THE FLOATING CITY. Oh, I get it. That was just *your opinion*. Guess you forgot to say that...
I would KILL to see this wonderful man live.
Thanks to Billie and Patrick I now know this amazing song and artist! This song is much better than top ten in Billboard all combined!
Yesss 😌

Anywhere the TD gig is at
Bournemouth and Islington were fantastic. Thanks Thomas!!
This sounds awesome! Welcome back Mr. Thomas Dolby!!
Saw him Oct 24 at the Parish in Austin. This song was great live :) And I hugged him after the show! Definitely a high point of my existence.
@mrkaic I too saw the Belly Dancers here in Minneapolis. WELCOME BACK indeed! Best show I have seen since the 80's. Please come back soon !!!!!!!!!!!!
VERY cool live!!!! Saw it too! WANT MORE!
I have those! SI version of One of Our Submarines was excellent.
I love the way his sound evolves over time, even in the same songs!

There was no LP release for this album or any of its singles, unfortunately :(

I feel very sorry for anyone who says Dr. Dolby is a "one hit wonder" except it makes is that all that much to get a ticket to one of his shows!
his songs make soulmates.. also love the forty live limited edition version of submarines
This track is knocking babay!
Greetings from Bahrain!

Why can’t I find this album anywhere?!
I saw him do this live @ the Red Devil. There were Belly Dancers :)
I...like Belly Dancers :D
there is the Sole Inhabitant live dvd/cd ;-)
Like I said on FB, wonder who is up to doing a remix of this. May I suggest someone like Dave
Aude, remembering his work with Sting on Desert Rose.
It's for people intrigued with NatGeo maps, not NatGeo native women.
If you played MOTFC this is YOUR theme tune! XD
It is forbidden to lick the toads.

Easily.
Dolby was heavily influenced by Joni Mitchell; his music is beginning to defy categorization
