Ill say this, the only disappointing aspect of the existence and journey of this movie is that I 100% believe they didn't realize exactly how good this movie was and anticipate how it would be received. I say this because if they did, they would have made it available for Best Foreign Film and I am very confident it would have won that. I am of the opinion that it was not just the best foreign of the year but one of the best films worldwide. I saw Oppenheimer, great movie. -1 IMO blew out of the water.
It should have been nominated for best foreign film. According to someone in the comments of another video I did, Toho refused to put it forward, it was the VFX studio who lobbied for the nomination in their category.
Possible Godzilla Minus One Trilogy: “Godzilla Minus One” This film explores themes of life. “Godzilla: Hope” The story continues with Noriko becoming humanity's last hope against Godzilla and other emerging monsters. “Godzilla: Love” The narrative follows a teenage Akiko, who comes to appreciate the love her adoptive parents gave her after Shikishima sacrifices himself to save her. She recalls the moment Shikishima revealed he was not her biological father from Godzilla Minus One, but understood he was her only true father. Bidding him farewell as such, Akiko takes up the fight against the growing threat of more monsters, with Godzilla still looming.
Have you seen Godzilla Minus One?
Great movie. In top 10 on Netflix atm. Hope lots of people watch it

@@RoachsFilmReel I think i read somewhere it was past a deadline for submission
The original 1954 Godzilla
Godzilla 1984
2016s Shin-Godzilla and now Minus One were definitely the darkest Godzilla movies 🎬 by far
I need to go watch Shin Godzilla, from what I've seen so far it looks really dark.
