I think context is necessary for people doing comparisons in the comments, KENYA collects more taxes annually than UGANDA and TZ combined because of many different reasons, so generally Kenyan had s bigger spending power so Kenyan cities have better developed and maintained infrastructure than the rest of the EA countries, i think its down to leadership, its very important for regime changes to occur in government, fresh ideas.

Anti when they try to develop Kla and limit boda guys nga Ugandans scream it’s not fair. For countries to develop there must be people who will suffer, be moved out of cities etc. A city that has batembeyi and boda a will not look anywhere this clean. Lukwago also enjoys the city aa it is anti alwanirira bantu ba wansi so the balance is hard. Even in Europe there’s what they call gentrification, poor people are moving further away from certain areas in London. Rich people who work in the cities have taken over previously poor occupied areas.

Since time immemorial Nairobi or Kenya generally has been the most developed in East and Central Africa due to so many factors including being the first concentration of the British colonialists after ages of other outsiders also such as traders, explorers, missionaries etc making it their stopover from other coastal towns such as mombasa, malindi etc and upto today it hosts lots of international or multinational companies that have contributed much to its development not forgetting its not a landlocked country.
Otherwise lets not forget in the last century so many East Africans have been flocking Nairobi for tourism so u can imagine what this means so am not surprised that indeed Nairobi is such a great city

After independence both countries were generally at the same level since the only significant infrastructure in both countries was the Kenya- Uganda railway, then later on in the 60s and 70s Tanzania was the more developed and advanced country until Kenya overtook it in the 80s. Actually most of Nairobi was a swamp a few decades ago, real development started from 2002 with President Kibaki

Ssebo karibu Kenya. I love Uganda and it's people very hospitable. The tour guide Dolphin didn't seem too conversant with the city especially the drive down from the airport to Westlands, she missed key talking points and questions like the tallest building should be right on her fingertips, but she tried.
