Pastor Hamrick, I can't get the idea that "The angel of the Lord is God." I don't know why you are making it somewhat complicated? When I read Judges 2:1 it is clear that the angel was just a messenger of God but it doesn't mean that the angel was God. The message came from God but it didn't mean that the angel was God. Your claim was not specified clearly on the Bible. Yes, there were instances in the old testament that God appeared in human form and talked to Abraham but it was clearly specified in the Bible. Angels can't be God because the angels are the servants of God. Hebrew 1:14
If you read Genesis 18:1. It says,”the Lord (Yahweh) who appeared to Abraham. Verse 22 it says that Abraham stood before the Lord. Capital “L”!!! Abraham was not mistaken concerning who he was in the presence of. When he petitioned for the people of Sodom and Gomorrah, he wasn’t negotiating with an angel. Shall I reveal to Abraham, “what I will do”? No! Abraham was acutely aware that he was in the presence of God.
Also, angels were created by God.
