- The book of Judges reveals a dark period in Israel's history and serves as a warning for us today. After the death of Joshua, the nation triumphed in taking the Promised Land before descending into a destructive sin cycle. God repeatedly raised up judges to deliver His people even as their disobedience continued. In this message, we witness Israel's journey from conquest to compromise.
This teaching is from the series 07 Judges - 2020 with Skip Heitzig from Calvary Church
Watching in 2024. So relevant to today. Allowing mosques, Baha’i temple, “dance” festivals to other gods etc etc. I pray for my people & their lack of repentance & willingness to change.
This is really helpful. I'm reading the bible for the first time, and listening to these lessons after reading each chapter is really helping me get a deeper understanding of the bible.
Skip is a very gifted.. . I enjoy your teachings

Really appreciate these teachings, blessed by going through Joshua and now Judges. Thanking God for this resource being made available. Thank you for putting these online, showing me the depths of these scriptures. Listening from across the Atlantic here in Ireland. Wonderful, rich teachings giving good food for my soul
Great study! It would be nice if Skip would use visual, such maps for us to comprehend this subject better. But thank you for all the hard work you do for the kingdom.
God bless your ministry Pastor Skip🙏 watching the Bible 30,000 feet series. I really feel bless - from the Philippines😘
Wonderful teaching; I forgot to go back and like the Videos.

a WONDERFUL, ARTICULATE EXPOSITION ON A DIFFICULT TOPIC. THANK YOU
Thankful for this read through with you 🙏🏽
Thank you brother skip it’s all Jesus
Nice, well explained, God bless you, wonderful if it would have been in other language
I have a question for Pastor Skip: you mentioned that God gave all the land eastward to Euphrates river to the children of Israel, but they only occupied 1/10 of that. But previously you had said that you disagreed with the half tribe of Manasseh, Reuben and Gad staying on the east side of the Jordan River. It seems like a contradiction. Could you elaborate?
Enjoying the teaching
Wow - “everyone did what was right in their own eyes” - sounds like this country. We can probably expect the same treatment from God. I think it’s fair to say that insofar as this nation continues to turn away from God it will continue in a downward spiral. Also a question about 1:3 … Judah and Simeon - the brothers of Joseph and sons of Jacob - are long gone at this point in time aren’t they? So these names are just referring to the tribes?
I'm just wondering something. I hear a woman speaking at the same time as Pastor Heitzig. Do you have someone translating for Hispanic visitors in real time?
Hello Xylestos, thank you for watching the teachings on RUclips! Not sure which portion of the video you are referring to but we have done Spanish translations in the past and still do given we are located in an area with a high population of Spanish speaking people.
Why did you say there were 13 Judges?
I am also a bit confused about it as I am not sure who is the 13th one in the book. Is it Barak (which I'd consider a general rather than judge as it was Deborah's role) or is it - mentioned in some Judges' lists - Abimelech (who if I am correct is not raised by God to be judge like the rest).
