This footage has me taking an interest in Joe Bonamassa. Kirk Fletcher I've always appreciated his playing style and Josh Smith a newcomer to me. To see all three of these young masters onstage together's an awesome event.
Michael Brown forgive me for being forward but are you the first man on Mars? JB has approximately 16 albums of original and covers of blues favorites. If you want to hear him in a more hard rock genre, check out Black Country Communion. Has Glenn Hughes bass/vocals, Derek Sherinian keys, Jason Bonham drums/vocals. Awesome band. They were together for 3 albums until solo gigs interfered. They are reforming this year with a tour to follow. Blues and Rock from one, if not THE best guitarist on the planet. He's very versatile with a great personality.
Grammatical Erorr Josh sounds much different than Robben but I’ll agree he’s one of the few guitarists you can always pick out instantly when you hear.
I'd rather see this described as a 'jam,' not a 'duel.' Just a word, I know, but this was not a competition. It followed the long-established protocols for 12-bar jams, with each player politely trading off at traditional intervals. They used subtle gestures, body language, and facial expressions to communicate and cue each other and the drummer and bass player. They obviously enjoyed each other's chops.
Yes indeed. I can agree with all that. They really had a lot of fun together. You can see their faces light up when they trade off soloing. Very cool :D
Miss Moke may have used the wrong word in your opinion, but she was kind enough to film this and post it for us to enjoy. For that I say thank you Miss Moke, you're a true blueswoman.
My friends we call this "cutting heads". Push, competition, all leads to stimulation new tries. nothing wrong with friends getting in the mud and wrestling with guitars.
Oh my God! I was smiling so hard at the end that my cheeks hurt. Absolutely loved this video. Going to see you for the second time next year in Hartford CT. Can't wait.....
♫♪♫Still alive and well. Still alive and well. Every now and then I know it's kinda hard to tell, but I'm still alive and well!♪♫♪ (Tribute to Rick Derringer & Johnny Winter. They would love this jam!)
During the year that Magic Johnson announced he had HIV (92?), & SRV was @ the top of his musical game, I heard a 12 yr old kid on stage at a outdoor,Ft.Lauderdale fair. A crowd gathered to watch & listen to the Stevie Ray -like solos... following on & on every time you were sure there couldn't be any more notes to play! Joe Bonamassa was that good then. Jus thought I'd share that with y'all all! This guy plays to breathe.
I think the best blues guitar is the one in the hands of the player... but I also believe, just speaking from a technical standpoint, that the Telecaster does lend itself nicely to the task. I'm not saying it's better than anything... I once saw a couple of guys do a dual thing to "Pride and Joy"... using 2 Kids First Act Guitars... and performing it impromptu, just for fun, in the aisle of their local Walmart store... the show was an all time amazing blow-out! I can't play the guitar except for some very basic chords... enough to test the guitars I repair with. I can't play them but I can fix the hell out of them and I gotta say, I Love 'em All! ...especially the broken ones.
It's a Josh Smith song entitled "When I Get Mine" from his album "Over Your Head" and he is a monster....Joe B once said that Josh Smith was the only man alive that he feared with a guitar....pretty good reference...
Oh Probably about 100~It was late and people had gone back to their cabins to pack as this was the last night~Rule of the cruise~NEVER go to bed till the music stops!!
wow...the sight of pure joy on Joe's face makes me a happy fan. thanks for sharing.
Wonderful seeing them care free having fun with their friends 😊
Love it when Joe starts playin "Into The Heart Of The Sunrise"!

Michael Brown Joe is amazing. Pure soul.

Josh Smith is the new Robben Ford.
If you want to heard Joe B. doing something a little more jazzy check out Rock Candy Junk Party, he is one of the most versatile players you'll find.
Grammatical Erorr Josh sounds much different than Robben but I’ll agree he’s one of the few guitarists you can always pick out instantly when you hear.
I love how he just plugged right into the amp and that’s the tone
Have been a fan of Kirk for years,he is the man!!
Holy shit! They really broke out in a serious jam towards the end. Thanks for sharing.
I'd rather see this described as a 'jam,' not a 'duel.' Just a word, I know, but this was not a competition. Danny Adams but
Miss Moke may have used the wrong word in your opinion, but she was kind enough to film this and post it for us to enjoy.

Yes but duel is so much more 'click baitey' 😂. Thank you for this post!
My friends we call this "cutting heads". Push, competition, all leads to stimulation new tries. nothing wrong with friends getting in the mud and wrestling with guitars.
they all are amazing musicians , but, in my opinion , Joe is THE BEST not only in our Solar System , but in our Milky Way !!!
Nice video Miss Moke. One of the best times of my life and I'll be there again for KTBA at sea IV.
I WAS THERE !!!!!!!!!!!, Unreal.
MAN THAT WAS SPECTACULAR !!!! Joe was looking nervous & envious at times , They are all equal in my opinion .
This isn't a duel. It's a conversation!... or collaborative poetry.
Yes, so true, but that wouldn't be a catchy title. First you have to get peope's attention, before they can listen to a conversation~LOL
Drummer was into it and awesome! Love all they all switched off and on..
Josh Smith , cool ! Respect to all of them !
So nice. Been a fan of Joe's since he was a tot. I have to thank Miss Moke (and RUclips) for introducing me to Kirk and Josh.
Great to see the musicianship here. Awesome video!
There all some of the tightest and tastiest musicians ever had the pleasure of watching. And the bassist.
Seeing this video today, made my day
Oh my God! I was smiling so hard at the end that my cheeks hurt. Absolutely loved this video. Going to see you for the second time next year in Hartford CT. Can't wait.....
LOVED this jam! Thank you so much for posting.
We were in the audience, just off to Joshs' right.
Wow... amazing interplay. Love the ending
What a badass performance, wish I could have been there.
Searching for Kirk Fletcher with Mike Landau brought me here. This is pretty cool!
Thanks for sharing Linda. i love it!
Whoa Hoss!!! Now that's what I call " Throwin' Down Some Music". Thanks for the post.
Nice jam with a respectful duel at the end,,,trade offs galore !!!
Thanks for sharing Linda!!
Kirk Fletcher is THE GUY!!!!
The Blues is alive and well.
♫♪♫Still alive and well. Still alive and well. Every now and then I know it's kinda hard to tell, but I'm still alive and well!♪♫♪ (Tribute to Rick Derringer & Johnny Winter. They would love this jam!)
@@timothyjzoellick ~~~ RIRP guys. that's, ( Rest In Relative Peace ) ... they gotta make SOME noise! lol ..

Thanks for sharing, that was great fun, the competition got quite hot in the end, and Joe had to have the last word! ;-)
oh geeze. that was nothing but great!
ITs not a duel but a fantastic example of Call and response... gotta love da blues baby.
I liked the way Joe threw in a little YES toward the end of the jam.
He often does brief 'tributes' to other guitarists.
Marc L4 Indeed! I also heard the main riff from "Heart of the Sunrise" too. Great stuff!!!
Brilliant stuff
Yes! misssmoke007. I'm a TRUE fan of him. He's always looks young, handsome and The BEST artist and He's THE ONLY !!

I very much enjoy Josh and Kirk when they play . I don't even need to say how I feel about Joe !!
So awesome!!
Wow....thanks for that!
This is the kind of thing you hear at The 'Rendezvous' on Beale Street in Mofos... Best little club on the bank in Memphis!!

all three are great players in my opinion!
JB's last lick was awesome- all great
hope to see these guys in Northern Italy

I was there; it was awesome...
This was the last night late night Jam and it was the cherry on the whole cruise!
My lord, Darius Rucker is a master on guitar.
true but stardom is already getting to him . all the weight gain is gonna make him lazy .
I don't know if Albert would be proud or pissed. LOL.
LOL Zack!
probably a little of both lol
Love the melodic note choices here from Josh but Kirk has the tone in this one.
She's little & she loves you!
yes an why not enjoying your Stings on the Sea right on Joe
Maravilloso.!!!(wonderfull).
Is no one gonna mention the drummer he was sick during the solo
probably not. We are all guitarists here. :)
Guitar lover here too, but the drummer is Lemar Carter and he totally kicks it along with Travis Carlton on Bass!!
amen!!!
right on, behind every great artist , guitarist singer whatever you will find an amazing rhythm section. without that all you got is fluff
I thought you meant he barfed........glad I was wrong!
i will stand up on that one
love it..!!!
wow all i can say is wow
Standing ovation !!!!!!

delightful. where was this? and does anyone know the name of song?
It's a Josh Smith song entitled "When I Get Mine" from his album "Over Your Head" and he is a monster....Joe B once said that Josh Smith was the only man alive that he feared with a guitar....pretty good reference...
WOW
2:34 glad I wasn't sitting in, 'cause against my better judgement, I would have gone to the five chord right here
I’m going to be just like them remember my name
Кирк Флэчер #1
Check out the "duel" towards the end!
Epic! But fire the sound people.
Joe still knows his minor 2 chords things
How many people were there ? Sounds less than 20
Oh Probably about 100~It was late and people had gone back to their cabins to pack as this was the last night~Rule of the cruise~NEVER go to bed till the music stops!!
Missmoke007 I agree, NEVER go to bed until the music stops. I like it !
joe is the new bb killler the template for josh
Why is Joe's amp turned around?
So he can crank it a bit more, probably a cleaner amp than the others so needs more volume to get that distorted tone
