    I definitely think they got the Rocking Chair Canter correct but they failed in the other gaits and lacked the understanding of the breed, such as the Flat Walk and Running Walk.
    The Trot should of been replaced by the Running Walk as the Trot is not a recognized gait for the TennesseeWalker association and most Tws can't physically Trot.
    The Running Walk should not be a "special gait" rather the Rack, Pace, SaddleRack or Trot should of been.
    I'm happy and shocked they added a gaited breed like the TennesseeWalker but a bit disappointed how poorly they animated it. It would of been so much easier for them to add/update the Missouri Foxtrotter as the only gait difference between non and gaited is the Walk vs Flat Walk and Trot vs FoxTrot. That would atleast warmed them up a bit before starting on a gaited breed like the Tw who's gaits barely resemble non gaited horses.
    Anyway if you have absolutely any questions about the TennesseeWalker or gaited breeds feel free to ask me as they're my passion. 😉

      People already complain the head bobs and everything is over exaggerated, if they increased it even more to match reallife better, people would riot as a shocking amount of people on sso don’t know horses can be gaited

    • @ya.ghostie
      @ya.ghostie 9 месяцев назад

      I didn’t know they couldn’t trot! I wonder why SSO did this? 🤔 The Gen 3 Icelandic has a different fast gallop than other breeds and they were able to include/animate that

    • @introvertedequinesamsara6593
      @introvertedequinesamsara6593  9 месяцев назад +2

      @@ya.ghostie Some can tho its just not in their breed standard nor a gait gaited owners ever ask their TWs to perform. It was honestly kinda weird that SOS added in a extra gait like the Trot especially when it's a gaited breed known for their unique gaits🤷🏻‍♀️
      For the Icelandic horses that's also a weird gait to add in. As yes they can Gallop but they're really known for their speed in the Pace and Tölt not gallop.
      It honestly seems like SOS is cheaping out again, and don't want to put money into animating new gaits so they just stick with the ones they know 😒

    it honestly feels like they were trying to play it safe tbh, but im actually happy how sso has done it, cause it feels like they were going for a allrounder type for the breed

      TennesseeWalkers were bred to be a utility horse making them naturally a versitle breed. They do compete in all displines from driving, barrel, jumping, pleasure, dressage, etc, not just gaited displines.
      The biggest appeal of this breed is how unique it is from all other breeds, if they wanted to play it safe they should of went for a different breed.
      Many SSo players already hate the model for how it canters why not just keep on going to make it more realistic. A breed irl that's hated by most equestrians because of misinformation and its gaits. Sso might bring some new Tw lovers but it'd also create alot of people thinking that's how a Tw is supposed to move causing more hate/misinformation to the gaited community. Its not a strech as some Sso players genuinely use in game terms for rl dressage gaits.
      There was also no reason to give them a Trot gait, Champagne Watchout a TW who competed at FEI level dressage never trotted.

      @@introvertedequinesamsara6593 oh I see, still glad they made the breed tho, I honestly thought they would never do the breed cause of its history with big lick, but now its ingame I can ride them around, & one of them looks almost exactly like one I take care regularly in the barn, Jimmy hes a pure black TWH, he has no teeth tho so I have to smash up his food until its like soup, extremely funny fella always putting his head where it shouldnt be, hes like 22 years old but acts more like a colt tbh 🤣

    • @oldbandwagon8797
      @oldbandwagon8797 4 месяца назад

      I have to disagree with you. They were not playing it safe, they were just reaching a deadline. Star stable should focus on exaggerating traits that makes horses unique. By making the only two gaited horses in the entire game (walkers and pasos) trot is just lazy and disrespectful. If people want a horse that trots, they could pick literally any of the other 60 breed that does.

      @@introvertedequinesamsara6593 not all TWH's move the same, i think SSO did a good job of capturing that and representing an overall breed not just a show-bred movement. SSO as a company has to think about it from all angles, including what people might assume making it their problem too.

    • @introvertedequinesamsara6593
      @introvertedequinesamsara6593  Год назад +5

      @@aprilpurplenight That is true not all TennesseeWalkers move the same but the breed standard is more important than the outliers. It would of done so much good to the community if the gaits were true to the breed, so further education can be had, instead they're showing inaccurate gaits which only pushes more misinformation on the breed.
      There are SSO players who will hate on actual dressage riders using in game terms for the horses gaits, can you imagine how those same players would start to think that's how a TennesseeWalker is supposed to look like, that they have a trotting gait..
      If they wanted to play it safe they should of picked a different breed. Not the breed Tennesseewalker that some people are so brainwashed about that they can't tell the difference between a flat shod horse and those who are in stacks.

      Their TennesseeWalkers are grade then or have a very bad pedigree because this is the breed standard gaits.
      Tws were originally bred on flat ground Plantations in the South, which made it really important to have a ground covering gait (fast extended gait) that was also comfortable for long hours (one foot is always on the ground, which is why they aren't bred to trot as the trot is bumpy with alot of suspension)

      It was a Running Walk not a Flat Walk, got them mixed while I was in a hurry 😅
      TWs will nod more when they're relaxed and pushing into themselves properly. For some TW lines breeding also plays a huge factor in this aswell, typically show bred TennesseeWalkers will have more animation and nod than trail bred ones

  • @HaNoWay6616

    They probably didn’t add the rack due to how close it is to big lick and not wanting to support that :/

    • @introvertedequinesamsara6593
      @introvertedequinesamsara6593  9 месяцев назад +1

      I want to bash my head in at your comment lol, the Rack is nowhere near Padded gaits, the Rack is a square gait with upward knee action not extended knee action which you'll see in TW disciplines.
      Just because a horse is Padded doesn't mean it's abuse or BigLick, and just because a gaited horse has a animated extended gaits does not mean it's BigLick either. Gaited disciplines exist...
      Maybe it might do people good to see Lite or Park Pleasure gaits in SOS, because maybe then they'll realize gaited horses move differently.

      @introvertedequinesamsara6593  Год назад +4

      Tell me you know nothing about gaited horses without telling me you know nothing about gaited horses.
      TennesseeWalkers will naturally nod their head in rhythm with their gaits, the bigger the head nod the more relaxed and reach they have. You'll see the same nod in Dressage horses who are performing the Extended walk which is exstremely similar to the TennesseeWalkers Flat Walk.
      The reason why they go up in the Canter is because it's more of a Lope movement. In his gait more of their weight is shifted back making their front lighter, their hind legs really reach under themselves and help further propel themselves up.

      They're bred to have very extended gaits, their back legs are supposed to over stride the front which causes the head nod as they're rounding their back each stride.
      It's a very smooth and ground covering gait.
