- Vincent Willem van Gogh (30 March 1853 - 29 July 1890) was a major Post-Impressionist painter. He was a Dutch artist whose work had a far-reaching influence on 20th-century art. His output includes portraits, self portraits, landscapes, and still lifes of cypresses, wheat fields and sunflowers. Van Gogh drew as a child but did not paint until his late twenties; he completed many of his best-known works during the last two years of his life. In just over a decade, he produced more than 2,100 artworks, including 860 oil paintings and more than 1,300 watercolors, drawings, sketches and prints.

The Great master:)
His paintings have a lot of brush strokes, more so then shadows and color blending. Lots of brush lines and dark lines. I never went to art school, what do I know. However he is a great story teller ( in his paintings)

Great video. I really like how you title and date the paintings and show in approximate chronological order (I’ve read the Crows in the Wheat Field was actually his last painting, thought this is debatable.). One suggestion to improve would be just show each painting entirely and don’t move the view or zoom in and out. That will allow the viewer to take in and enjoy the entire painting without distraction.

Vincent Van Gogh, was well known for his paintings when nobody knew and realized how terrible his paintings are. Look at his paintings now as compared to John Magne Lisondra, Viktor Yuskevitch , and many other young painters of today. His paintings were done by a 5 grader or a child of ten years old. Nobody will buy his paintings now. It was a GREAT mistake on people buying his paintings for thousand of dollars. and more..

Hate painting, do you? How else explain this butchery of the artists' work? Out of focus SNIPPETS of paintings...never show entire paintings, as though seeing the COMPOSITION is not the heart of the painting...reducing art to garbage benefits no one.
