The doors to the House of Prayer are closed to the "congregation" for the place of meeting at this hour. Everybody is standing "outside" The "Door", to the sheepfold with the "Shepherd" and "Bishop"of our souls. I know what you are saying, "but I didn't do anything. Really? Perhaps that's the reason you're on the outside of the door with the rest of us. Others are saying but I did this and I did that. Perhaps that's why you're standing outside with the rest of us. At this point it doesn't matter who did what or did nothing or as momma would to say, "or Who struck" John". We are outside the door of the place of meeting! We all on the outside looking in. The world is on the outside and needs to get in through repentance and faith in the Lord Jesus Christ and we on the outside because of our sin and unrighteousness. That's right, our sin and unrighteousness. The Lord has clearly told us what is sin, and what is "Right" from "wrong" in the Holy Scriptures. We know better and was a time in the past we did the first works as indicted in Holy Writ. As someone has said, "when you know better, you are expected to do better". Listen, He done "took"and told us so we don't have to guess. So now at this juncture, call it what you may, He has took One Rock, The Rock of Ages, The Stone which the builders rejected, and has hit two "birds" so to speak. The "lost world" flying high in wickedness and His elect, the Church flying low in sin and unrighteousness. There it is, there you have it. Now as it is written in the seventh letter to the Church at Laodicea, the Lord was outside the door, knocking in order to get the attention of His own on the other side of the Door to open the literal door and He would come in. This text is not soteriological in nature, but ecclesiastical in intent. In other words the Church at Laodicea knew He was in their business and was talking to them and not the lost. Revelation 3:20 I beg you, yea rather I plead with you, since He's on the outside in the text and we're on the outside in the "Here and Now', lets humble ourselves in His presence and pray, seeking His face, with repentance from dead works, asking Him to forgive us for our sin and unrighteousness, requesting Him, as the preachers of old would say, "Lord try us again". After He forgives our sin and heal our land, we, including Him of course, can go back into the house of prayer, enter the place of meeting, this time with the Lord leading the way in our midst!

The doors to the House of Prayer are closed to the "congregation" for the place of meeting at this hour. Everybody is standing "outside" The "Door", to the sheepfold with the "Shepherd" and "Bishop"of our souls.
I know what you are saying, "but I didn't do anything. Really? Perhaps that's the reason you're on the outside of the door with the rest of us.
Others are saying but I did this and I did that. Perhaps that's why you're standing outside with the rest of us.

We all on the outside looking in. The world is on the outside and needs to get in through repentance and faith in the Lord Jesus Christ and we on the outside because of our sin and unrighteousness.

I beg you, yea rather I plead with you, since He's on the outside in the text and we're on the outside in the "Here and Now', lets humble ourselves in His presence and pray, seeking His face, with repentance from dead works, asking Him to forgive us for our sin and unrighteousness, requesting Him, as the preachers of old would say, "Lord try us again".
