Tennessee's private prisons are some of the most dangerous prisons in America. They're so short staffed that the nurses has to help with count. They ignored several dudes when they said they were being graped and a few of them committed suicide. It's sad and totally preventable, but Core Civic and our government officials only worry about keeping the beds full so the money keeps coming in.
I’m an ex inmate. It’s gotten increasingly worse in there. Back in ‘12 it was ok. When I left in 2018 it was horrible for staff and inmates alike. It’s really sad. The staff don’t have the support they need and the inmates aren’t given incentive to change. Majority of those inmates will re enter society no matter what ppl think of them. It’s a dumpster fire that no one will listen too.
