- This month's Hall of Fame episode 2 features an anime figure that attracted me to jump into the hobby of collecting figure itself. After seeing this 1/7 scale figure of Saber Lily Distant Avalon by Good Smile Company being displayed in Wonder Festival sometime in 2008 in an event coverage, I knew I needed to have one. I did not play Fate Unlimited codes, but I was already a big fan of Fate Stay Night back then.
As a college student trying his best to save up, getting into the hobby or affording this figure wasn't easy. It took some effort to get my hands on one as she became rare, before being re-released twice, several years later.
This figure of Saber, together with Black Rock Shooter, are legendary. More than a decade later, their quality still stands up to newer and more modern figures released today in year 2022. They don't look out of place on your shelf, even if you were to purchase one today. The best news? It's not difficult to find one - 6 years after her last re-release.

would appreciate a dedicated video talking about maintaining figures for long term
I have this figure sitting in my Buyee cart for a while haha
It’s such a great looking figure it matches the other GSC fate figures soo well!
I have such a similar story with this figure.
It would be nice if you can make the video about how to clean scale figure properly
Yes, I've definitely thought about this. Need time to prepare
Yeah despite being old, she looks great with her armor, details, and pose. Curious have you preordered the Semiramis by Phat? I dislike Phat, but I'm tempted by that one
I didn't preorder that semiramis. I still might get one after release though. And yeah, personally I do prefer her original design we see in Fate apocrypha, which unfortunately was made by a company worse than Phat.
Is that a way to clean out the yellowish part from the figure?
You can reduce it by just cleaning the figure, but you can't stop it from happening. It's a natural aging process of the pvc material itself. But it really isn't as bad as you may think
@@EXkuroganeHow about the stickeness izzit easy to clean it out? Because everytime i clean using water with some soap, few month later it will sticky again
@@wingonn11 that's because the weather - too warm and humid. It's why I don't display most of my expensive figures, and I keep them in cool places, like closed wooden cabinets. I only open the boxes to air out the figures every once in a while. The ones I display are either old or cheaper figures.
