This is such a beautifully tragic song. So much raw emotion in her voice. The lyrics are so telling and this song is essentially her confirming the eating disorder rumors... :( She's so strong and i hope she's doing better.💞

i think it's incredibly brave of Poppy to perform this at a huge award show. its such a liberating song for anyone with an eating disorder. i would be so massively nervous to perform this, but Poppy is a beast and a professional.

Although it could be fry scream, I think that Poppy is just yelling in this song, with a distortion effect. It sounds cool, but it's not really viable if you want to scream during entire concerts, you would hurt your voice. However, this might indicate that she'd want to learn metal techiques in the future. Ghostemane is her fiancé, and he has learned fry scream, so he may help her with that.
I agree, you can actually hear that her voice is being taxed in certain parts of both this and the live performance, but I’m extremely happy to see her venture into this direction! I am hoping the next album shows a lot more of this.

My eating disorder was getting pretty bad by the time this song released. It brought me an odd amount of comfort as I ran five miles daily and only consumed protein shakes to recover.
