I used your trick with the duct tape on my pampas grass today and it worked like a charm. My wife asked me how I learned that, I told her watching Top Notch on RUclips. It was the quickest and easiest trim and clean up since I planted it. She said watching all these videos is starting to pay off!! lol!!!
May I ask, is trim it down be much faster than cutting it down with saw? Because I remember cutting these down with a saw and it was just a pain in the back and take a lot of Energy.
I USE BUNGIE CORDS ON ALL MY PLUME AND PAMPAS GRASSES. “KISS” keep it simple stupid. Wear long sleeves. Do this in late Feb-March. 18” bungie You can loop it, Stretch it, cinch it, around the base of the plant, connect ends of bungie, then slowly pull up about 4-6” above the ground, then take hedge trimmer and whack that MTHRFRKR off at 2-3”. Take The Straw bundle place in recycle ♻️ of your choice. If you have huge grass, you can use your chainsaw, tree saw, backsaw too! Fast and efficient! Safety First!

Ok I cut my pampas grass but now it seems like it is too tight to let the new foliage grow thru it. Do you have any tips for that? Thank you for the great idea of using the duct tape.
Warning, unless you want this to pampas grass to invade your entire property, this plant will seed itself all over and takeover over. Very hard to get rid of once it starts seeding, it is a nightmare. Just saying.
I have two huge Pompous Grass bushes growing near the road at the end of our driveway. I never thought hedge trimmers would work but I turned on your porn music real loud while I cut them. I think it was your music that did the trick. THANKS
Great job on videos, so winter timeYou don't pay your guys? Get contracts so that you can keep them all year around. Before you know it they can scoop up your good help and leave you solo which is a terrible thing.
I had to do some like 2 weeks ago, and I tried the whole duct tape thing you do and man that was an epic fail for me lol. I ended up saying screw it and just cutting them like that and It did take me a while to clean it all up. I hate pampas grass just as much as you do if not more
can't believe no one said it yet....here's the friendly reminder B-man, get gloves for you and the boys before the job tomorrow....oh yeah, don't forget to wear the gloves too. 😉

That is why I am gloved up all the time. Just the thin nitrle dipped.... I have a pretty nice glove tan line by summers end.
Whenever your trim them like this, do they grow to that original height through the coming year?
Yes, they grow back great. We trim them every year so they don't get out of control.
When you say bi-weekly and $100+ is that $100+ per visit or $100+ per month?
he means per visit
