  • Other than a couple small crashes, it was a pretty clean race. I thought my holeshot was coming to a quick end at only a few seconds into the lap. At about :39 the ass end came around so far I was about to drag my handlebar on the ground while counter-steering to save it. I did make a bunch of passes on the row in front of me the first lap. And one super close pass that was closer than intended. A tree came up on me fast when I was gaining speed to make the pass and when I got off the gas and turned away from the tree I surprised the other guy with a handlebar in his side. My apologies to him. Some outside-in passes were fun to set-up and reminded me of my roadracing days. The EnduroCross section was fun and much easier than I expected after seeing some of the other classes tackle it. There are some other shorts out there that show some carnage from it. I think they did a great job laying out a 4 mile course on a relatively small property.

Oh Thanks. I about gave up the lead in the turn after the logs. I was ready to start dodging bikes but somehow saved it. How'd you finish ? I've got rear camera footage going up later and then maybe some mixed footage if I can work in some from my wife's cell phone.

@@philipcaudill626 I finished 2nd . After you pulled away I was pretty much by myself the rest of the race after I got around a few from the first row. I was the guy talking to you on the line.

@@SydStrong Yeah- I figured that was you. I saw in my rear camera you got a good start. Yeah, the last laps were kinda boring.

@@philipcaudill626 I thought the enduro section would be harder than it was. Friend of mine told me after the race mostly everyone was going to the right of the tires where there weren’t any. I had no idea. Lol

@@SydStrong After watching some of the earlier races, I was nervous about it myself. But, yes, it was easier and went smoother than expected. I wasn't focused on the run-up and went to the right once - on my third lap. I do some log jumping when I can, but not one after another like that, so I was afraid to launch them like I would normally. I'd like AWRCS to throw in some stuff like that along with an easy go-around.
