Darkness Sensor on Breadboard using LDR and BC547

I made a LDR Darkness sensitive Circuit using BC547 Transistor.
When there is not enough light on the ldr which is light dependent the Transistor turns on allowing the LED to glow up.

I tried it, and it worked. However, I've added a resistor between the led and the + terminal to protect my LED.
