Really well done, anchor handled on and off between Nz and Aus between 1975-2014.Only thing thing i spotted wrong was when work wire was released it should have been taken up the deck a couple of metres to make sure ALL torgue was has gone, seen more than than one guy get hurt.
As per the description 'Video made by our cadet' I'm not all that computer savvy so left it as is. Unsure why everyone is getting their knickers in a twist over it, The mute button exists. Feel free to use it instead of feeling the need to commentate negatively. Cheer up you cu'nts!
Thanks mate but it was our first tow with that vessel and also had 2 crew there that had never done anchor handling before so everyone was a bit fresh. cheers anyway
@@Starleybags Well in my line of work, I design all types of audio and video control devices and modify existing equipment to do unusuial things. Things like building one of the first remote controlled cameras to be used in live surgery that could be controlled by doctors in several cities around the world. It isn't really exciting for a video as much of the work is done through a close-up television cameras on my build and test benches. I am not denying the action that was the subject of this video, but if you are going to attempt to make a watchable video, invest a few bucks in a camera stabiliser system. Also, basic video recording 101 is all about stability and that includes extreme close-ups and rapid panning movement where the camera moves too fast to even be able to appreciate what the subject of a particular shot is supposed to be, and the effect is even worse when you are in too close either physically or with the zoom. You see, I have been in the professional audio visual industry for almost 50 years, so I have a bit of experiebce in my background. BTW, I am 6 ft and 295 lbs and the word is spelled 'their', NOT 'there'. To be clear, in no way am I denigrating the work done as well as the extreme danger in that occupation. I have watched numerous videos about this and related occupations. My utmost respect for those in similar careers.
What don't you understand about the fact that the camera was probably secured to his helmet and that it wouldn't always be pointed at what he was working on, especially when up close?
