    I really enjoy your style of video, and really have been improving (slowly, but steadily). I really appreciate the shorter format (compared to other creators) that is also straighter to the point.

    your webcam is actually solid quality with a good blue background, usually you have the green screens from other youtubers, and it just does not work well, and you can sometimes spot some stutter { block dots etc} a bit as well, however yours is solid, great job 👍.

    Excellent video, I feel like we’re really sharing the same passion about the theory and explaining abstract and mechanical aspects of the game
    I thought you would talk about the line formation which according to me is suiting archers formations, did you omit it on purpose for another video ?

    I think the fundamental triangle is spear knight > archer knight > archer spear > spear knight. And then in castle age the maa goes into the archer spear group, the horsemen/mango go into the spear knight group and the crossbow compliment the knight archer group. That's the general idea I think.

    These vids are better than build orders because they apply to all civs to some degree. Broader strategy videos. Most casual players don't have time to learn 14 civs so build order videos are less likely to be applicable.

    How do you decide when to halt archer production? Hypothetically, if Ayyubid successfully hit FC timing, they could queue a few Ghulam to steamroll the feudal archers. Curious when or how to decide on whether to keep the pressure or age to avoid this.

    • @Valdemar1902
      @Valdemar1902  Месяц назад +1

      In this scenario, you lose if you stop making units because you dont have safe economy.
      Archers also do not care about ghulams as they are faster and hunt villagers in that early castle period of the opp

    Valdemar, what’s your opinion on the Mongols Mangudai? They are virtually never used on the pro scene. However, I’ve been using them recently and they are a lot stronger then I thought. Their attack is the same basically as normal archers but what makes them so dangerous is their ability to shoot arrows while still moving….I’ve taken down much stronger units because I just kite them and they can never catch me while the entire time I’m doing damage. They are fantastic raiding units as well. So what’s your opinion on them, and why are they never used by top pros/tournaments? Thanks man!!

    • @Valdemar1902
      @Valdemar1902  Месяц назад +1

      Because you can do the same thing with archers without paying twice as much.

      @@Valdemar1902 - I’m going to respectfully disagree with you on that one lol. Archers can’t simultaneously move and shoot at the same time. Nor are they as fast as Mangudai. But I appreciate your input.

      @@greeneyesfromohio4103 Archers can’t literally move while shooting, but they can basically mimic that effect with good micro and high APM. When you factor that in, manudai simply don’t make sense to build because they are weaker than archers, despite costing more.
      The reason why it works better in low elo is because players don’t have the skill to make the most of archers, which Valdemar talks about in the video. Additionally, on the flip side, players are bad at defending raids too, and suddenly mangudai can do a lot of damage to players that don’t react effectively to them.
      But all you have to do against mangudai is throw up a few walls/be better at defending. Once that happens, the mangudai lose their advantage over archers, and now your opponent just looks stupid fighting straight battles against your archers with their mangudai that they paid twice as much for.
      At least horsemen raids can burn down palisade walls, which is much more tough to defend. For mangudai, throw up 1 wall and they are completely shut down, and now you just have overpriced archers.
      TLDR Despite costing much more, there really is nothing that mangudai can accomplish that archers can’t also achieve, unless you are playing against a weak player who is unable to defend mangudai raids.

    • @neothypp
      @neothypp Месяц назад

      @@JhAsh08 Well, As you said, mangudai are stopped once enemy wall his base. The main trick is to make only 4-5 mangudai (just enough to raid, and catch weak enemy troops around the map) and then make a regular cavalry/archer/ram who can burn walls. Mangudai are therefore a potential threat, psychological edge, which forces enemy to always build walls everywhere.

    • @JhAsh08
      @JhAsh08 Месяц назад +1

      @@neothypp Even then, Keshiks and horsemen achieve the same goal that mangudai do without being overpriced and getting melted by ranged attacks.
