@@jorginhohcf macro is the most important thing when attacks are coming, u dont wanna waste villagers on idle time / long distance mining. also be sure to build atleast 3 production facilitys with atleast 2 different units dat benefits each other. dont focus on upgrades to much u need units. also a short wall and a tower helps

My advice to gold players is to play french only, there is only one way to really play french and it teaches you to learn how to micro. Try to only make archers and knights, if you are making spearmen youre doing something wrong. Always make vills and dont lose your knights, if you need to go castle age for an attack timing then do so. Ive climbed from gold to diamond in a couple weeks of only playing french and its helped me tremendously with everything. Scouting is important, so make sure youre doing that right to know how to aproach your enemy and know what they are doing

If you can learn the civ that's probably the weakest right now then you can then move onto more complicated civs like I'm about to now that I'm comfortable with micro
When u feel safe, u can just put a few vills on gold and go for them. But if it is a hard all in from opp, then u should consider castle maa after a good fight
couldn't really see the point if you mention it (skipped fast), but the Chinese player coulded just destroy the 5 houses and pretty much win the game even more early. Ppl usually at gold league dont really pay too much attention to construction locations.
zhugenu rush is frustrating. it seems like even an archer mass gets melted, and horses just die instantly. only way I usually squeak myself out of this situation is to try to cut off reinforcements and have him single focus firing and massively overkilling my units and hope the guy doesn't notice. like.. 2 spearmen can ruin your day
Kite the archers Zhugenu are very slow so horsemen do extremely well against them try to catch them out in the open so they can’t retreat and if they bring spears use archers to pick them off

Would you say it would be possible some sort of fast castle as Ayyubids for ghulam rush (since it's an armored unit) against this kind of aggression? Or would the Ayyubid player be overwhelmed with the ammount of zhuge nus that Zhu Xi can print in such a time?
Yes, open horsemen archer, then force them to play slower by raiding, then hit them with advancement with ghulam with 1 ranged armor. I like mastersmiths into advancement
i actually played against you chinese and i went all in production and still lost to mass 60 xughenu, you scouted everything i planed all along and walled all your base so i couldnt know what you were doing, i guess there is no obvious answer but what should i do then? i waited to have a big army , 12 sipahis 40 archers to push
When you see a grey version of their base from scouting at a distance, are you seeing the layout of the past or is it an up to date view of their base, minus units?
OIL is your way of preserving resources and having an army. At the 8 minute mark, you had produced 855 oil in total. You should already have your 2nd batch or 500 cost mercenaries. So, point is this. LEAVE sheep early. Once at feudal you should already be ready to call in mercs.
