There's just so many reasons why i adore BAAO, and especially Joel. When they came in my home town last october, i couldnt make it in line I'm advance. My friend spotted Joel and asked him to record a lil message for me, and he did. It was my first time climbing on stage last october and he took me in his arms as we sang the ending message of Deaths Great Wings and i felt like my heart was going to burst. He has the best crowd presence i've ever witness and he has such an amazing heart. This band is everything.
i was at warped i think 2015 and they played the hardest part, i was crying and screaming the words at him as hard as i could and i swear this guy got down into the crowd and hugged me as close and as tight as he could. he puts so much of himself into his performance and genuinely loves the fans so much and that hug almost showed a vulnerable side and it meant so much to me.

Joel cleans are getting better

you crazy there old stuff is the best
Joel didn't sing on How We Both Wondrously Perish, Michael did cleans
Joel did cleans on their entire first album, then the second album he did cleans here and there, the only album so far joel didn't sing on was their self titled, with this albums I expect that he won't be doing them either but we've only heard two songs off of it , so we can't really say for sure. Joel's cleans are 100% in the bass/baritone range, Michael is more of a tenor so his voice is more normal to hear as a clean vocal. however joel is talented but for their style his cleans only for in certain places and Michael's is pretty much good wherever
