Well Bungie did have to brain storm how to pull that off. I mean, Uldren killed one of our most beloved characters in the vanguard so they had to find a way to make us 180 our view of Uldren. I think they also had to throw Mara under the bus in through painting her as the reason Uldren turned out the way he did before he was killed. And welp, it worked fantastically. I just hope they don't do a copy paste approach on mara if she is killed and revived by the traveler.
I'm thinking that if Mara, or Savathun, tells him, they will twist the story into their favor. While Mara may have eluded to saying Crow was in our care, at the end of the Scepter quest, I'm thinking she only tolerates us because she can use us as a weapon against her enemies. I'm hoping that Crow just takes time to process the news and shows up at an opportune time to save things from going horrible. Because Savathun may want to get rid of her worm, but she probably also has something ready for the Queen. (Also I don't know anything of spoilers, or leaks, just speculating from what we've all seen so far.
When she says "If certain actors had kept their role, I would have wielded Uldren Sov, Lightbearer" I think she's referring to The Spider. It's obvious Spider used Crow instead of "returning" him to Mara.

I imagine, when we see him again in person in a year or two, he’ll still want to protect humanity and our allies. But Crow may no longer be so naive and innocent. He may become more of a lone wolf, probably going as far as too stray from the Traveler and questioning its will and morality, choosing to walk the line between light and dark, wielding stasis. He said before he doesn’t like the thought of being a cosmic God’s play thing. He may see the Traveler as another manipulator that wants to use him. There are other Guardians and characters that don’t see the Traveler as purely benevolent: Eris, Drifter, Eramis, Elsie, Mara.

I have a theory: Mara is in fact Savathun and Uldren will be the reason why Savathun is able to steal the light and create Hive ghosts in WitchQueen! This is why Mara/Savathun so much wants to control Uldren. Mara died in Destiny 1, killed by The Taken King. At that point Savathun took Maras shape. Throneworlds are hive related, Mara obtained her own since her death, which is another evidence for her being Savathun.
For Mara, everything is a means to an end. Doesn’t matter the cost, because as long as the end is met she doesn’t care what it took to get there. Mara is a lying, manipulative, evil person.
Yet, in the Dark Future, she died like everyone else. It was only her cunning and manipulation that allowed her to outlast others until her hubris of arrogance and tunnel vision of focusing on the future lead to her inevitable death by a corrupted Ana.
This is good writing. Remember, Savathûn is playing us like a fiddle right now. She's talking all smooth like and getting close to us, with an end goal in mind. I can tell. I trust Mara the shady Queen over the Hive god of deception any day. Watch.
I can see in Mara a sociopathic little girl who loved purple and wanted to be a princess... and wasn't. She grew up (partly), her brother twisted around her fingers because he was the only one who didn't see her selfishness. Then the light and dark conflict gave her that chane she'd always wanted... she finally got to be a princess. I think her biggest problem was that Uldren let her get away with too much. He should have called her on her shit when she was a kid.
I think people are kinda overlooking certain things. For one those who say Savathun seems more trustworthy than Mara, we don’t know much about Mara so I can understand being suspicious of her; but for the love of the Light you guys are really falling for the God of Trickery’s deceit. This is why she’s going to steal the Light, we can’t stop for a second and say “Should we really listen to her?” She wants her worm gone but she’ll want a Ghost in return, now this is more of a theory question; but what happens when one melds with another?

Mara feels like she doesn't actually care for her brother, she saw him as a weapon more than anything, and while she may have truely loved him, she never showed it any way possible and she likes to blame everyone but herself, and even when she does blame herself, she likes to try and find a way to blame others.
I feel like Crow is one of the best Characters added in the story ever, He makes us question ourselves. Mara is a neutral character, She is out for herself and her people, If she didn't need us she would abandon us.

Everyone is using crow, clearly savathun needs something from crow maybe it’s to do with his connection to the light maybe she just needs him to do something specific but she needs him and by the end of the season crow will realise everyone’s using him and treating him like half a man so he’ll slip up and do what savathun wants intentional or not
I believe Crow/Uldren, does not need a guiding star. He may only need a compass and map to chart his own path. Keeping such as adventurous spirit caged would only make them more eager. If she had been more kind to him, and not so cold, perhaps he wouldn’t have died. Maybe discovering the “truth of the universe” by become the first Awoken, caused Mara to lose some of her Humanity. Such as empathy, curiosity, mercy, compassion. For as long as we’ve known her she’s been so cold and cruel. Only justifying her behavior as doing what’s needed for her people. Funny how our ghost had judged Mara so bluntly in Forsaken. Now Ikora and Saint start to judge her as well.
All this is going to push Crow into Savathun’s hands. Uldren murdered the friend of the very people he now works along and he works with his own murderer directly (us or Petra). He’s subjected to mistrust from others guardians and is forced to hide away from the tower in H.E.L.M. And now we’re keeping him away from, what is an admittedly a fucking terrible idea, talking to Savathun. We limit his freedom and choices again. Like Mara, like Riven- even if it’s not with malicious intent he won’t see it that way and Savathun isn’t going to spin it like that to him when they talk. And I really, really believe they will. We won’t be a bird cage to Crow until he knows all and makes the informed decision to stand with us for himself of his own accord.
If Crow somehow gets his memories back as Uldren Sov at the end of the season, I hope he abandons Savathun and Mara both. He may leave the City as well, going on a journey of reflection, only to return in Witch Queen or in season 17, wielding the darkness and light as we do now. Uldren/Crow wielding both in balance would reflect his nature as an Awoken. Making him a prime candidate to be the next hunter vanguard, after his return from his journey of isolation and reflection.

I strongly think it’s becoming clear that Crow is going to be the reason of how Savathun obtains the Power of the Light. And how Crow is going to play a REALLY big part in the Witch Queen.
I mean... sure you're a empty slate guardian, but the game story has literally never been an RPG. Destiny story wasn't created to be choice based along a view that matches "your guardian", but mainly started out as a very linear narrative, telling a specific story. Your guardian is THE guardian. You are the chosen one lol Such as bastion being our favorite weapon.. you might hate bastion, but your guardian, as per cannon, loves bastion more than any other weapon. I always find it weird when people go, oh it's immersion breaking when crow is buddy buddy with me, I hate him. The game story is legitimately not your own. It's not catered to your choices, or reflective of any of your personal actions outside of main campaign missions. Destiny immersion is just feeling powerful in a wonderful world of genuine space magic and God's, duking it out over light and dark. It would do everyone so much better if our guardian just had a voice and character like back in D1, so people could finally understand that your guardian is not a blank slate of you... just a voiceless hero with a ghost for a personality lol

•spoiler warning• way the video clip used from forsaken where riven is in mara shape and talks to uldren and this mara is riven impersonating mara. and need so to be taken with a grain of salt as impesonation and real person might have minor and deeper diffrences since this mara talks to uldren during forsaken is riven during th first story part and real mara is first speaks to us when we do the quest to enter the dreaming city. but it tells alot about how she/ mara is precieved and her emotional investment when its not realeted to herself in a way she is no better then savathun. and mara is a bit broken as in her self and surrounding peception makes are lacking in some regard. in a way mara is over filled by the desire to controll and own everything and darkness as we know enhances emotions in that regard it explains her broken behavior. and with her past and growth and no proper parenting that let her get spoiled and over emotional had never seemed been taught or learned about both and so she is now kind of stuck in that halv emotional broken statet as a part of her past. and that the darkness intesified her desires and emotion might not have helped in the first place and so lead to how we see her now. with that we can understand of why mara is as she is, but it does not change anything about her.
I think Mara should be broken, lose everything she cares about (her power, her kingdom, everything.) She needs to go through what uldren did. She needs to be brought down a peg (or 20) and lose to a more cunning adversary. She needs to hit rock bottom and maybe see that she is not the smartest person in existence. To quote Qui-Gon: “There’s Always a Bigger Fish.”
That may happen at the end of the season, if/when Savathun outwits her. She may become awoken to the reality of the “game” she’s playing. That, when it comes to the Winnower and the Gardner, there are now “take backs” they play for keeps, she may lose much before she realizes the fault of her arrogance. That she is not a player, but another pawn. She may yet learn humility and empathy. Or the Winnower may humiliate her, then cut her down by the sword (the last line is based on the wild theory regarding if either had/have physical forms as deities).
Now that you mention that, telling Crow everything might be how he becomes the hunter vanguard, especially once he figures out that cayde would have given his possessions to whoever killed him, which in this case would go to crow
I feel he has progressed as a more stable and compassionate person, than he was in his past life. He was a downrigjt a-hole before. Spider tried to control him. Mara wants to control him. Savathun nd the vanguard are the only ones letting him help and progress. I don't think mara realizes her part in Uldren's fall, and Crow's birth. She wants an a-hole tyrant by her side, not the compassionate man he is now.

They should bring back all the ornaments from past seasons Many of us who have been playing Destiny 2 from day one left when they announced they were implementing sun setting and then subsequently returned when they admitted that sunsetting was a mistake As a result many people missed out on the opportunity to obtain lots of awesome ornaments Of course I also want them to bring back all the ornaments that have been in the game so that new players don't feel left out Before anyone complains about this remember that many items in the game including exotics we're supposed to be exclusive to those of us who spent over $100 pre-ordering the game I want everyone to have an equal opportunity to enjoy the game to its fullest
The ironic thing about that is, in some instances, someone who is overly confident are more likely to slip up. Similar to an overconfident driver vs a calm and cautious one. One will be more likely to make mistakes more than the other.

When she says "If certain actors had kept their role, I would have wielded Uldren Sov, Lightbearer" I think she's referring to The Spider. It's obvious Spider used Crow instead of "returning" him to Mara.

What if savathun is trying to corrupt uldren again but this time with psychology?? Shes done it twice (once with riven and the other as osiris) and she already has him intrigued which is the stepping stone to coruption. She could also be trying to get his trust to be able to us his ghost maybe as some type of prototype or for tests or something?

A bit of speculation but, what if in reality, Savathun has the ability to give Crow his memories back but wants to make a deal with Mara. Mara removes Savathuns worm - Crow gets his memories back - Mara gets Crow back
Albeit, I have a bad feeling things may not end well for anyone this season. Even if this part of the deal comes to pass.

@@TisDansk Ironic, that Savathun has more humility than Mara to set him free. Crow may find his own path now, where he isn’t tied down by Mara, Petra or anyone else. I imagine, when we see him again in person in a year or two, he’ll still want to protect humanity and our allies. But Crow may no longer be so naive and innocent. He may become more of a lone wolf, probably going as far as too stray from the Traveler and questioning its will and morality, choosing to walk the line between light and dark, wielding stasis. He said before he doesn’t like the thought of being a cosmic God’s play thing. He may see the Traveler as another manipulator that wants to use him. There are other Guardians and characters that don’t see the Traveler as purely benevolent: Eris, Drifter, Eramis, Elsie, Mara.

I have a theory:
Mara is in fact Savathun and Uldren will be the reason why Savathun is able to steal the light and create Hive ghosts in WitchQueen! This is why Mara/Savathun so much wants to control Uldren. Mara died in Destiny 1, killed by The Taken King. At that point Savathun took Maras shape. Throneworlds are hive related, Mara obtained her own since her death, which is another evidence for her being Savathun.
For Mara, everything is a means to an end. Doesn’t matter the cost, because as long as the end is met she doesn’t care what it took to get there. Mara is a lying, manipulative, evil person.
Yet, in the Dark Future, she died like everyone else. It was only her cunning and manipulation that allowed her to outlast others until her hubris of arrogance and tunnel vision of focusing on the future lead to her inevitable death by a corrupted Ana.
This is good writing. Remember, Savathûn is playing us like a fiddle right now. She's talking all smooth like and getting close to us, with an end goal in mind. I can tell.

I can see in Mara a sociopathic little girl who loved purple and wanted to be a princess... and wasn't. She grew up (partly), her brother twisted around her fingers because he was the only one who didn't see her selfishness. Then the light and dark conflict gave her that chane she'd always wanted... she finally got to be a princess.
I think her biggest problem was that Uldren let her get away with too much. He should have called her on her shit when she was a kid.

I think people are kinda overlooking certain things. For one those who say Savathun seems more trustworthy than Mara, we don’t know much about Mara so I can understand being suspicious of her; but for the love of the Light you guys are really falling for the God of Trickery’s deceit. This is why she’s going to steal the Light, we can’t stop for a second and say “Should we really listen to her?” She wants her worm gone but she’ll want a Ghost in return, now this is more of a theory question; but what happens when one melds with another?

Mara feels like she doesn't actually care for her brother, she saw him as a weapon more than anything, and while she may have truely loved him, she never showed it any way possible and she likes to blame everyone but herself, and even when she does blame herself, she likes to try and find a way to blame others.
I feel like Crow is one of the best Characters added in the story ever, He makes us question ourselves. Mara is a neutral character, She is out for herself and her people, If she didn't need us she would abandon us.

Everyone is using crow, clearly savathun needs something from crow maybe it’s to do with his connection to the light maybe she just needs him to do something specific but she needs him and by the end of the season crow will realise everyone’s using him and treating him like half a man so he’ll slip up and do what savathun wants intentional or not

I believe Crow/Uldren, does not need a guiding star. He may only need a compass and map to chart his own path. Keeping such as adventurous spirit caged would only make them more eager. If she had been more kind to him, and not so cold, perhaps he wouldn’t have died. Maybe discovering the “truth of the universe” by become the first Awoken, caused Mara to lose some of her Humanity. Such as empathy, curiosity, mercy, compassion. For as long as we’ve known her she’s been so cold and cruel. Only justifying her behavior as doing what’s needed for her people. Funny how our ghost had judged Mara so bluntly in Forsaken. Now Ikora and Saint start to judge her as well.
All this is going to push Crow into Savathun’s hands. Uldren murdered the friend of the very people he now works along and he works with his own murderer directly (us or Petra). He’s subjected to mistrust from others guardians and is forced to hide away from the tower in H.E.L.M. And now we’re keeping him away from, what is an admittedly a fucking terrible idea, talking to Savathun. We limit his freedom and choices again. Like Mara, like Riven- even if it’s not with malicious intent he won’t see it that way and Savathun isn’t going to spin it like that to him when they talk. And I really, really believe they will.
We won’t be a bird cage to Crow until he knows all and makes the informed decision to stand with us for himself of his own accord.
I'm actually kinda rooting for Savathun to serve Mara a full course humble pie.
Watch it be the catalyst for Savathûn being able to wield the Light
If Crow somehow gets his memories back as Uldren Sov at the end of the season, I hope he abandons Savathun and Mara both. He may leave the City as well, going on a journey of reflection, only to return in Witch Queen or in season 17, wielding the darkness and light as we do now. Uldren/Crow wielding both in balance would reflect his nature as an Awoken. Making him a prime candidate to be the next hunter vanguard, after his return from his journey of isolation and reflection.
Feel like we're going to encounter the darkness itself pretty soon with all this deception.

We all just thought Uldren was annoying in the first game so he definitely got like taken. Correct, I always get confused with his story.
It's so immersion breaking to be talked to like I'm friends with crow even though I never accepted him, bungie did it for me.
I mean... sure you're a empty slate guardian, but the game story has literally never been an RPG. Destiny story wasn't created to be choice based along a view that matches "your guardian", but mainly started out as a very linear narrative, telling a specific story. Your guardian is THE guardian. You are the chosen one lol Such as bastion being our favorite weapon.. you might hate bastion, but your guardian, as per cannon, loves bastion more than any other weapon. I always find it weird when people go, oh it's immersion breaking when crow is buddy buddy with me, I hate him. The game story is legitimately not your own. It's not catered to your choices, or reflective of any of your personal actions outside of main campaign missions. Destiny immersion is just feeling powerful in a wonderful world of genuine space magic and God's, duking it out over light and dark. It would do everyone so much better if our guardian just had a voice and character like back in D1, so people could finally understand that your guardian is not a blank slate of you... just a voiceless hero with a ghost for a personality lol

•spoiler warning• way the video clip used from forsaken where riven is in mara shape and talks to uldren and this mara is riven impersonating mara. and need so to be taken with a grain of salt as impesonation and real person might have minor and deeper diffrences since this mara talks to uldren during forsaken is riven during th first story part and real mara is first speaks to us when we do the quest to enter the dreaming city. but it tells alot about how she/ mara is precieved and her emotional investment when its not realeted to herself in a way she is no better then savathun. and mara is a bit broken as in her self and surrounding peception makes are lacking in some regard. in a way mara is over filled by the desire to controll and own everything and darkness as we know enhances emotions in that regard it explains her broken behavior. and with her past and growth and no proper parenting that let her get spoiled and over emotional had never seemed been taught or learned about both and so she is now kind of stuck in that halv emotional broken statet as a part of her past. and that the darkness intesified her desires and emotion might not have helped in the first place and so lead to how we see her now. with that we can understand of why mara is as she is, but it does not change anything about her.
Mara seems to be very unstable this season and yes she made a very toxic relationship with her brother.
just gonna say this, if Crow gets the role of Head Hunter, I'd be okay with that.

I think Mara should be broken, lose everything she cares about (her power, her kingdom, everything.) She needs to go through what uldren did. She needs to be brought down a peg (or 20) and lose to a more cunning adversary. She needs to hit rock bottom and maybe see that she is not the smartest person in existence.

That may happen at the end of the season, if/when Savathun outwits her. She may become awoken to the reality of the “game” she’s playing. That, when it comes to the Winnower and the Gardner, there are now “take backs” they play for keeps, she may lose much before she realizes the fault of her arrogance. That she is not a player, but another pawn. She may yet learn humility and empathy. Or the Winnower may humiliate her, then cut her down by the sword (the last line is based on the wild theory regarding if either had/have physical forms as deities).

I feel he has progressed as a more stable and compassionate person, than he was in his past life. He was a downrigjt a-hole before. Spider tried to control him. Mara wants to control him. Savathun nd the vanguard are the only ones letting him help and progress. I don't think mara realizes her part in Uldren's fall, and Crow's birth. She wants an a-hole tyrant by her side, not the compassionate man he is now.
This is going to be a painful lesson sibling codependency....

They should bring back all the ornaments from past seasons
Many of us who have been playing Destiny 2 from day one left when they announced they were implementing sun setting and then subsequently returned when they admitted that sunsetting was a mistake
As a result many people missed out on the opportunity to obtain lots of awesome ornaments
Of course I also want them to bring back all the ornaments that have been in the game so that new players don't feel left out
Before anyone complains about this remember that many items in the game including exotics we're supposed to be exclusive to those of us who spent over $100 pre-ordering the game I want everyone to have an equal opportunity to enjoy the game to its fullest

The ironic thing about that is, in some instances, someone who is overly confident are more likely to slip up. Similar to an overconfident driver vs a calm and cautious one. One will be more likely to make mistakes more than the other.
