    The second cartridge for the "hyper burst" mode doesn't stay with the rest of them in the magazine for that operation. There's a secondary space between the magazine well and the chamber where the second round is held momentarily, so your animation is slightly off in that respect.

    • @Phage26
      @Phage26 4 года назад +2

      The animation is correct indeed: the second round of the hyper-burst is not stripped from the magazine until the first of the two bullets has been fired. As soon as the recoiling assembly start moving back and the bolt extracts the first spent case hafway only then the second bullet is lifted into the elevator, and is ready to be stripped off from here just as the bolt starts moving forward. You don't actually have a cartridge sitting in the elevator while the first one is fired, that's why in full auto you have only the first two rounds fired at 1800 rpm. Check this video (ruclips.net/video/mEWXh3y2hZ0/видео.html), it's a russian made simulation and it confirms it (I has the chance of seeing a deactivated AN94 disassembled and aoperated and I can guarantee the animation in WEAPON DISASSEMBLY is 100% correct.

      Bruh second cartridge half way on the ramp is nonsense propagated by ian mccollum. If thats the case, rifle need 2 bolts because one cant be locked while being at the rear most of its travel. And. The first fired case when retracted 50% from chamber cant have a 2nd case in the same hole. Reality is, high rate of fire is accomplished by having a short gas port distance from chamber and 2, muzzle device work like tesla valve increasing pressure. Rifle is over gassed to make 1800 rpm. See fg42 trial rpm report is too fast due to the same mechanic: High pressure gas port.
      Same can be said for delayed blow back which gas port pressure is basically the peak pressure,like famas which have fast 1200 rpm, no muzzle gas trap needed.

    • @Phage26
      @Phage26 4 года назад +2

      The second cartridge is not in the same hole, if you watched the Russian video. It gets stripped from the magazine at the sake time the first one is extracted from the chamber. The lifter is placed below the barrel axis and can easily house a second cartridge while the first one is still partially in the chamber. High rate of fire is not avhueved with a short distance gas port since the gas tube is not shorter than a regular AK. It's achieved by having two separate recoiling units inside the gun. The barrel and its extension recoils back with the aid of the peculiar muzzle device, in thr meantime the bolt inside the whome assembly reaches its end of travel and goes forward stripping the second cartridge from the elevator chambering and firing it. Was the bolt carrier gors back for the second time it reaxhes its end of travel together with the whole barrel extension and it goes back in position with the recoil spring. It's oretty hard to describe it by writing, but overgassed or not, that's not how the 1800 rpm firing rate is achieved. The second bullet leaves the barrel before the whole barrel assembly has reached the end of the receiver thus preventing recoil from affecting the point of impact of the second round. There is a pulley inside the gun who links bolt carrier and barrel assembly. Really, it's probably the second most complex handheld gun I've ever seen behind the German G11. From an engineering point of view it's incredible but it's far too expensive and was never adopted or issued in great numbers. I think Spetsnaz use the weapon in very limited quantity

    • @cgdg7075
      @cgdg7075 4 года назад +1

      @@Phage26 ok its overgassed and have short bolt travel distance, i forgot to mention. Gas pressure can be increase by drilling gasport larger. Pulley make the short bolt travel dist possible by doubling the nominal travel of bolt group. U are correct, it just the secondary rammer dont lock. We basically agree on the principle.

    I love the way the select-fire works. Manipulates the characteristic that allows it to fire twice before the receiver hits the back of the frame, in order to stop it from doing exactly that.

  • @sulli1189
    @sulli1189 4 года назад +1

    Its a long recoil rifle with a weird double bolt for lack of better description. By having two bolts going in opposite directions, bullets only have to go half the distance for loading and felt recoil is going to be diminished (some). Lower recoil spring keeps the whole thing compact and keeps the barrel from moving off center. Still operates by Over barrel piston.

      Think of it like this. The gun fires like an AK first, uses the pulley to put a second bullet in position. The barrel moves back and chambers the bullet as it falls back onto the bolt which is moving forward on a spring, which fires the round sending the barrel all the way back. Think of the barrel as the traditional bolt, and the bolt you actuate as its own gun. The bolt actuates twice for every time the barrel makes a full cycle. After the first burst is fired in AH it locks the bolt in place and the barrel does all the work basically
