Gears 1-3 were absolute masterpieces during their time, this and Halo were the two main franchises I grew up with. It’s really heartbreaking to see their current statuses.
Lmao their current statutes are Great. GOW 5 was amazing and Halo infinite has amazing campaign and multiplayer gameplay they just need to add more to multiplayer
I played Gears 1 religiously starting the day it came out. Life was simpler, I didn’t have any money, kids, etc. I would go to work, come home, and play gears until midnight. I did this for almost a year straight. My wife stuck by me the whole time no complaints. It will forever be the best game for me. The fact that nobody is playing is gutting.
I have fond memories playing gears with different people throughout my life especially on the Xbox 360 days all nighters, beers and food, played with my brother religiously completing all three campigns, you spoke of your wife, Iol I'm not joking when I tell you this my current girlfriend will be the third to complete all three campaigns with me again, hopefully the last, three being the lucky number.
I can say the same for me for gears 2, I finished school, started college only was there for 4 hours per day for 4 days (back then they used to pay you to go to college in the UK), life was so damn simple I had no responsibilities just yet, the only time I wouldn’t play Gears 2 was when I was playing football but 2 of my friends who also played football also played gears as soon as we all got home. Nowadays non of us play gears anymore, work all the time, gotta travel majority of my working time, and all my friends have kids now. Man I wish I was 16 again no life it out on gears, halo and CoD.
I've made it a goal to complete one Gears of war campaign each year which I've mostly stuck to. I finished gears of war ultimate edition in 2018, Gears 2 in 2019, and Gears 3 in 2020. I sort of broke this trend with Gears of war judgment as I completed the main campaign last year but did not complete the aftermath campaign. I'm sure by the time Gears 6 comes out I'll have finally finished playing every campaign prior.
I highly suggest you also play the original Gears of War 1 campaign, the atmosphere is ten times better, the art style wasn’t preserved very well in the Ultimate Edition, and they added a few unnecessary chapters and unnecessary banter that felt like filler in the Ultimate Edition, it looks a lot cleaner and less gritty. Still a great remaster though. I really suggest playing the original Gears of War because it somehow really nails a survival horror atmosphere despite you being a trained career soldier
gears 2, instantly my favourite gears of war game. holds a special place in my heart to this day. absolutely adore the campaign, the gameplay, the characters, and especially the nostalgia. im just recently playing through it and literally so much nostalgia is coming at me. its such a classic. the game was ahead of its time and its such a great gears game.

I know many people use the term “underrated” a lot lately, but I’m genuinely serious when I say your channel is really underrated. Each new video that you upload makes me hella pumped to click on it, even if it’s something I literally know absolutely nothing about. hot take: I have super fond memories of Gears Judgement because of its Overrun mode. I wasn't a full on Gears player and was more used to Battlefield at the time. So the Asymmetrical Rush-type mode was awesome from my view.
Just the intro sound to the Gears 1 menu gave me chills, this game series truly changed my life, no better way to put it! Played thru each campaign multiple times and plan on doing it again, and the multiplayers were only matched by only a few games. I agree that 2 is the best all around, my fav as well.

I'm not a Gears PVP expert, I die a lot hahaha but in terms of Campaign, I love all games, even Gears 4 and 5. In my opinion they both are great games, Gears 4 is just a non-stop action movie and Gears 5 has this cinematic feeling. I'm replaying all these games with my friend on the hardest difficulty. Gear 4 feels like an updated Gears 3, which is why I still play both. Haven't touched Gears 2 in some time but it was my shit back in 2008-2009. Played it so much the disc split.
Everyone including myself despised Judgement early. Once Epic sold the franchise and we received Gears 4/5, I kinda wish I appreciated it more. It was the last gears that had an earning system to grind rather than solely micro transactions. It successfully delivered a campaign that wasn’t focused on Marcus and Dom, I didn’t even play the campaign after judgement because the characters now hold no weight(other than JD and Kait)they need Marcus to have as much screen time to carry. Now gears 7 is in a pothole bc of the lack of a solid continuity bc of the choice of killing of JD or Dell. Judgement had the better movement, the non cartoon gore, beauty in destruction cuz everything looks too pretty in 4/5. Judgement took the biggest jump to try something new. The character and weapon skin customization were on another level aswell as Overrun(in my opinion was a great combo of beast/horde). The only take away I have was the absurd absence of locust in multiplayer. Other than that I’m not sure that you can tell me anything 4/5 has done better other than the change of depth POV in 5 which is dope. Judgement felt like a slight step forward or the very least an addition to 3 but 4/5 seems like they backtracked with 4/5
I have to somewhat disagree. Judgement is a decent game but 4/5 are in the vien of 3. Gears 5 is actually the best mechanically imo. People fprget how broken 2 was and every one complained about 3's weapon variety. 4/5 are the most consistent and polished, only gripe is the artstyle is bright and colorful instead of sark and gritty.
@@Void_Wars Sure buddy, never said I hate, there’s a reason I still play the games. There’s more to it than just adapting to the new and letting go of nostalgia. The franchise was sold and whole development team from Gears 1 - Judgement resigned. It’s a completed different franchise with a different vision but same goal if that makes sense. The old team had 10 years/4 games to build the great franchise that it was while the recent developers has only had 6 years/3 games. I do trust and am confident in their ability to carry and continue to improve the franchise as a whole. Time will tell.
I literally play gears 4 almost everyday with my friends. We play KOTH mostly. Gears 5 just doesn’t feel right. It’s not as bad as it was when it first came out. Gears 5 had some insane map design especially at the end. Nexus Village Tomb Ephyra were some of the most aesthetic looking maps in the game and they all felt great. guess it was too late after all

I remember i used to play gears 3 so much, i finally unlocked griffin after like 4 years of grinding and like not even a month after unlocking him i lost all my damn progress and i lost all will to keep playing it after that.
@@About36Greeks Bug. Happened to a lot of people myself included. You just get on and your progress is restart. Level, character unlocks, skins, oddly not campaign though
I think it's got something to do with downloading your profile to a different console and loading gears 3 up, it happened to me a couple of times and a couple of times I got my progress back. I had some serious progress on 3.0 (pun intended) but I lost everything again when I downloaded gears 3 on my Xbox 1 and just lost the will to play anymore
The trouble with the maps on gears of war 4 is unless you had the season pass you could only play on them online, even now with Gears 5 coming towards the end the season pass for gears 4 is still a ridiculous price in my opinion. Oh yeah and I'd definitely like a remaster of 2 and 3.
@@About36Greeks Well the maps that came with the game you could, but the ones they bought out over time you could only use privately if you had the season pass. Just as annoying as making the game practically useless if your Xbox live gold ran out you couldn't play much of it privately either. Including horde.

Gears 1 will always be my favorite. At the time it was the only thing like it, and the amount of competitive spirit and trash talk that game had is still untouched. No party chat back then so EVERYONE was talking in the lobbies. Amazing times.
I still remember back in 06 only one of my friends owned a 360 and had GoW1. We played so much of the campaign and at the time it was so realistic in graphics. Finally in 07 I got my own 360 that my mum got me for Christmas. Luckily she got me GoW as well. I never touched the multiplayer as I didn’t get the internet till late 08, unfortunately Halo 3 was my main game till I saw the Gears 2 announcement. Gears 2 made me love the multiplayer so much, it was so good in fact the friend who was the only one who had a 360 ended up getting online plus gears 2. We played gears together right till Gears 4 life cycle. Sadly I’ve never touched gears 5 multiplayer as I was burned out playing gears for over 10 years. One of my favourite series in gaming history and the reason why I got a 360. Update: I finally tried Gears 5 multiplayer and as much as I don’t wanna say this, I’m glad I stopped playing it before it’s release date as I didn’t like a single Gears 5 map and the Gnasher felt so underwhelming. The only decent maps was of course the originals that they’ve once again brought back. Although the horde is pretty fun but even on the higher difficulties it felt quite easy but yet still enjoyable. This is unfortunately a terrible game, which I haven’t felt like this since judgement, and the end of GoW4 after all the bad updates. It’s sad to me to see one of my long favourite titles isn’t consider good to me anymore. I will be buying gears 6 (if it gets announced) and hopefully that game will bring me back.
I olayed 1 to 3 and loved them. Picked a Xbox series S the other day and have been playing Gears 5... I don't know man, I don't get the hate, it's been a lot of fun to me. The combat is more strategic in this one because of Jack and I love it. The combat is fun, fluid, strategic and frenetic at times, the story is good and the graphics sre gorgeous. I really don't get why all the hate for this game.
i feel bad for liking Judgment the most... I am new to the franchise and i bought the trilogy with Judgment in a CeX videogame shop. I looked up in the internet and Judgement was chronollogically before so i started with it and i had blast . It was like the perfected GoW , nice colours, graphics, gore, extra quests, no rail sections, very fun. Then i played Gow and Gow II and got a little bit tired of those railing /underground sections, but GoW 3 did a great job again with the colourfull graphics, vibrant scenarios and caribbean locations you can really see how they improved in those years. Overall i love all of them, because i played them straight for a whole weekend and for me it was like Gears of War in a pack. Gears 2 had the best gore , particle and physics and u can see how much improvement and effort they put from 1 to 2, like they really wanted to reach the xbox360 limit and they didnt care, they wanted to bring the best experience and i like that about Gow 2
Their biggest mistake was making someone who had no origin or backstory become the main protagonist when we already had that. JD was the perfect specimen to try and hold up the franchise for as long as it could have been held. Yet for some drastic reason feminist and weirdo activists got a hold on the games HISTORY. Then, before we know it, we have like these non original characters downplaying and roasting what the OGs had been through. The only person who had a shred of respect for what WAS was JD and our beloved old gears heroes. They tried to make JD look like he was the most terrible guy in history based off a mistake. GTFOH

I can find matches easily on gears 5 in every game mode and right now gears 5 is actually a good solid game,it was rough on launch, but right now after all updates, it's a great game, but yeah, it's slower than 3 and 4
Quick play you get bots but most of the core modes have matches for gears 5 ! I love free for all in 5 just wish there was some more maps for that mode .

I remember when I went to the midnight release of GOW Judgement in Garner NC and the game designers were there. They told us that they thought this game was gonna be unbelievable and said they hope we love it. I also got a signed poster from them. When I got home and played 1 game I wanted to return it. I then threw away the poster.

Also a game where for a couple minutes of the game you will be a normal locust working his job and you start to feel the effects of the pendulum wars and then queen myrrah decides to declare war and then you get drafted to fight in e day.
In my opinion, Gears Of War 3 was my favourite because that was the first gears game I ever played, I even have the GoW 3 Xbox 360 which is sick, but although I was about 6 when it came out I always used to watch my dad play all of them till I could play myself on GoW 3
the way matchmaking works a game has to finish in ultimate edition before you can get in one same with most of the gears of wars which is why it takes long times to get in a game you have to get in the que of players so yall are searching at the same time

I loved the OG trilogy and I really enjoyed Ultimate Edition. I think Judgment’s hate is a bit too much, it’s an okay game. Love the Overrun mode personally. 4’s MP is okay, horde was a step down (I absolutely hate the class and skill card system Coalition created) but still fun, but the campaign was very mediocre. Have not played 5 and have no plans to, everything I’ve seen and heard about it looks like trash. Honestly, all I want at this point is a Halo MCC style collection of the original trilogy with Ultimate Edition type upgrades for 2 & 3 (they can throw in Judgment too, I’d be good with that) and release it on Steam. I have zero interest in going forward with the series as the Coalition is taking it.

Gears Ultimate Edition is still alive to this date. I play it from time to time. You just have to play on US server Team Deathmatch and on active hours for US obviously.
Gears Ultimate Edition is still kicking ass, you just have to set up your region to East US. Obviously, I'm from Mexico and that's just my case, idk why people keep telling me Gears UE is dead when its not.
Gears 2 was good but let’s not forget that game had a lot of problems at launch. Plus the host advantage in multiplayer was a love/ hate type thing. But again, many fun memories with friends on that game 😂.
Gears 3 bro omg , I started with 2 and it’s all I played none of my friends played gears… and when 3 came out omggggg just watching the gameplay rn gave me chills and crazy nostalgia and also annoyed me bc I can’t experience that again!!!
as someone who’s played all the gears games from release. i 100% prefer gears 4 over 5. The tuning and movement was just so much better. Gears 5 really rewards casual players since the gnasher smokes from long range and the movement is slow. the kills in that game feel so un earned. as odd as it sounds. getting kills in gears 5 just feels way too easy. similar to an arcade shooter like cod. whereas in gears 4 it felt like every kill was a battle. you had to wall bounce, place shots correctly, outsmart your opponent. I get lower kills in average in gears 4 but it actually feels rewarding. i can place top of the team constantly on gears 5 but it just feels lame.

There’s still players on gears 5 for sure but the player count is low . Probably under 7-10,000 players so it Kinda depends on what your perception of “dead” is .
Just to let you know, the underground sniper matches are still big on gow ue, obviously its private matches but people I know still play and have cash tourneys and everything.
Imo 4 and 5 are the best in terms of quality, general improvements across the board. I like 4's campaign and MP better but 5 is way better for co op. Gears will never be super popular unless they overhaul it to be rifle based and we all know the community aint having it lol. Gears is inherently team and skill based. I actually think they need to go back to 4's speed and 5's co op features like Escape and go back to a darker artstyle. Compared to 343 the coalition has done right by the franchise for the most part.
Gears would be popular. If it had a Mini map and kill streaks. And was all about rifle gameplay, no shotguns. No learning curve. And was Free. Then it would be mainstream. Thank Goodness it’s not popular.

Love both gear 4 and 5!! Amazing games and I think they where the best campaigns in gears history. The big reason for that was how they really leaned into the new characters personalities while still including the the OG's! It was just really well done in my humble opinion 😄. The actual gamelan and feel of both of the games is amazing as well. God I ha e never played a game that has even come remotely close to how good gears 4 and 5 felt! OK rant over. I think gears ultimate edition is just gears of war 1 remastered unless you find the physical copy that comes with a code for all the others. Also game pass has all the gears game in there

I’m a die hard gears fan and I agree with you on the whole thing about it not feeling right or something feels off im glad im not the only one who feels that way, multiplayer is tolerable at the most, the campaign isn’t good at all nor did I enjoy it. But that’s totally my opinion. The only thing on gears 5 that i actually did play a lot of was 2v2 gnasher that’s the only game mode or anything really that got me to play the game, it just doesn’t have that feeling that the other gears give me. I remember I hated gears of war 4 when it first came out because of how different it felt from gears 3 but I still played the living hell out of it. So over the years I’ve realized how much better of a game the 4th one is so I think ima start playing that one again.

The Aftermath campaign is actually the good part. The main Judgement campaign is only worth it to unlock aftermath imho.

Everyone including myself despised Judgement early. Once Epic sold the franchise and we received Gears 4/5, I kinda wish I appreciated it more. It was the last gears that had an earning system to grind rather than solely micro transactions. It successfully delivered a campaign that wasn’t focused on Marcus and Dom, I didn’t even play the campaign after judgement because the characters now hold no weight(other than JD and Kait)they need Marcus to have as much screen time to carry. Now gears 7 is in a pothole bc of the lack of a solid continuity bc of the choice of killing of JD or Dell. Judgement had the better movement, the non cartoon gore, beauty in destruction cuz everything looks too pretty in 4/5. Judgement took the biggest jump to try something new. The character and weapon skin customization were on another level aswell as Overrun(in my opinion was a great combo of beast/horde). The only take away I have was the absurd absence of locust in multiplayer. Other than that I’m not sure that you can tell me anything 4/5 has done better other than the change of depth POV in 5 which is dope. Judgement felt like a slight step forward or the very least an addition to 3 but 4/5 seems like they backtracked with 4/5

I have to somewhat disagree. Judgement is a decent game but 4/5 are in the vien of 3. Gears 5 is actually the best mechanically imo. People fprget how broken 2 was and every one complained about 3's weapon variety. 4/5 are the most consistent and polished, only gripe is the artstyle is bright and colorful instead of sark and gritty.
@@Void_Wars Sure buddy, never said I hate, there’s a reason I still play the games. There’s more to it than just adapting to the new and letting go of nostalgia. The franchise was sold and whole development team from Gears 1 - Judgement resigned. It’s a completed different franchise with a different vision but same goal if that makes sense. The old team had 10 years/4 games to build the great franchise that it was while the recent developers has only had 6 years/3 games. I do trust and am confident in their ability to carry and continue to improve the franchise as a whole. Time will tell.

I literally play gears 4 almost everyday with my friends. We play KOTH mostly. Gears 5 just doesn’t feel right. It’s not as bad as it was when it first came out. In my opinion gears 5 has better game modes and the emotes are dope but gears 4 is just so good. Maps are fun and love the gnasher. Great review bro. You were spot on

Gears 5 had some insane map design especially at the end. Nexus Village Tomb Ephyra were some of the most aesthetic looking maps in the game and they all felt great.

I remember i used to play gears 3 so much, i finally unlocked griffin after like 4 years of grinding and like not even a month after unlocking him i lost all my damn progress and i lost all will to keep playing it after that.

@@About36Greeks Bug. Happened to a lot of people myself included. You just get on and your progress is restart. Level, character unlocks, skins, oddly not campaign though

I think it's got something to do with downloading your profile to a different console and loading gears 3 up, it happened to me a couple of times and a couple of times I got my progress back. I had some serious progress on 3.0 (pun intended) but I lost everything again when I downloaded gears 3 on my Xbox 1 and just lost the will to play anymore
The trouble with the maps on gears of war 4 is unless you had the season pass you could only play on them online, even now with Gears 5 coming towards the end the season pass for gears 4 is still a ridiculous price in my opinion. Oh yeah and I'd definitely like a remaster of 2 and 3.
Was that really a thing ? You couldn’t play the maps offline or in private matches if you didn’t have the season pass .. I didn’t even know that
@@About36Greeks Well the maps that came with the game you could, but the ones they bought out over time you could only use privately if you had the season pass. Just as annoying as making the game practically useless if your Xbox live gold ran out you couldn't play much of it privately either. Including horde.

Gears 1 will always be my favorite. At the time it was the only thing like it, and the amount of competitive spirit and trash talk that game had is still untouched. No party chat back then so EVERYONE was talking in the lobbies. Amazing times.
I still remember back in 06 only one of my friends owned a 360 and had GoW1. We played so much of the campaign and at the time it was so realistic in graphics. Finally in 07 I got my own 360 that my mum got me for Christmas. Luckily she got me GoW as well. I never touched the multiplayer as I didn’t get the internet till late 08, unfortunately Halo 3 was my main game till I saw the Gears 2 announcement. Gears 2 made me love the multiplayer so much, it was so good in fact the friend who was the only one who had a 360 ended up getting online plus gears 2. We played gears together right till Gears 4 life cycle. Sadly I’ve never touched gears 5 multiplayer as I was burned out playing gears for over 10 years. One of my favourite series in gaming history and the reason why I got a 360.
Update: I finally tried Gears 5 multiplayer and as much as I don’t wanna say this, I’m glad I stopped playing it before it’s release date as I didn’t like a single Gears 5 map and the Gnasher felt so underwhelming. The only decent maps was of course the originals that they’ve once again brought back. Although the horde is pretty fun but even on the higher difficulties it felt quite easy but yet still enjoyable. This is unfortunately a terrible game, which I haven’t felt like this since judgement, and the end of GoW4 after all the bad updates. It’s sad to me to see one of my long favourite titles isn’t consider good to me anymore. I will be buying gears 6 (if it gets announced) and hopefully that game will bring me back.
I olayed 1 to 3 and loved them. Picked a Xbox series S the other day and have been playing Gears 5... I don't know man, I don't get the hate, it's been a lot of fun to me. The combat is more strategic in this one because of Jack and I love it. The combat is fun, fluid, strategic and frenetic at times, the story is good and the graphics sre gorgeous. I really don't get why all the hate for this game.

I am new to the franchise and i bought the trilogy with Judgment in a CeX videogame shop. I looked up in the internet and Judgement was chronollogically before so i started with it and i had blast .
It was like the perfected GoW , nice colours, graphics, gore, extra quests, no rail sections, very fun.
Then i played Gow and Gow II and got a little bit tired of those railing /underground sections, but GoW 3 did a great job again with the colourfull graphics, vibrant scenarios and caribbean locations you can really see how they improved in those years.
Overall i love all of them, because i played them straight for a whole weekend and for me it was like Gears of War in a pack.
Gears 2 had the best gore , particle and physics and u can see how much improvement and effort they put from 1 to 2, like they really wanted to reach the xbox360 limit and they didnt care, they wanted to bring the best experience and i like that about Gow 2
Gears Ultimate Edition you got to play it at a certain time same for Gears 1

Their biggest mistake was making someone who had no origin or backstory become the main protagonist when we already had that. JD was the perfect specimen to try and hold up the franchise for as long as it could have been held. Yet for some drastic reason feminist and weirdo activists got a hold on the games HISTORY. Then, before we know it, we have like these non original characters downplaying and roasting what the OGs had been through. The only person who had a shred of respect for what WAS was JD and our beloved old gears heroes. They tried to make JD look like he was the most terrible guy in history based off a mistake. GTFOH

I can find matches easily on gears 5 in every game mode and right now gears 5 is actually a good solid game,it was rough on launch, but right now after all updates, it's a great game, but yeah, it's slower than 3 and 4
Quick play you get bots but most of the core modes have matches for gears 5 ! I love free for all in 5 just wish there was some more maps for that mode .

I remember when I went to the midnight release of GOW Judgement in Garner NC and the game designers were there. They told us that they thought this game was gonna be unbelievable and said they hope we love it. I also got a signed poster from them. When I got home and played 1 game I wanted to return it. I then threw away the poster.

Also a game where for a couple minutes of the game you will be a normal locust working his job and you start to feel the effects of the pendulum wars and then queen myrrah decides to declare war and then you get drafted to fight in e day.

the way matchmaking works a game has to finish in ultimate edition before you can get in one same with most of the gears of wars which is why it takes long times to get in a game you have to get in the que of players so yall are searching at the same time

I loved the OG trilogy and I really enjoyed Ultimate Edition. I think Judgment’s hate is a bit too much, it’s an okay game. Love the Overrun mode personally. 4’s MP is okay, horde was a step down (I absolutely hate the class and skill card system Coalition created) but still fun, but the campaign was very mediocre. Have not played 5 and have no plans to, everything I’ve seen and heard about it looks like trash. Honestly, all I want at this point is a Halo MCC style collection of the original trilogy with Ultimate Edition type upgrades for 2 & 3 (they can throw in Judgment too, I’d be good with that) and release it on Steam. I have zero interest in going forward with the series as the Coalition is taking it.

Gears Ultimate Edition is still alive to this date. I play it from time to time.
You just have to play on US server Team Deathmatch and on active hours for US obviously.
Gears UE is actually still pretty active , just have to wait till around the afternoon and make sure you are searching for US East servers

Gears 2 was good but let’s not forget that game had a lot of problems at launch. Plus the host advantage in multiplayer was a love/ hate type thing. But again, many fun memories with friends on that game 😂.

as someone who’s played all the gears games from release. i 100% prefer gears 4 over 5.
The tuning and movement was just so much better. Gears 5 really rewards casual players since the gnasher smokes from long range and the movement is slow. the kills in that game feel so un earned. as odd as it sounds. getting kills in gears 5 just feels way too easy. similar to an arcade shooter like cod.
whereas in gears 4 it felt like every kill was a battle. you had to wall bounce, place shots correctly, outsmart your opponent. I get lower kills in average in gears 4 but it actually feels rewarding.
i can place top of the team constantly on gears 5 but it just feels lame.
Gears 4 was just a remastered Gears 3 and I was okay with that.

There’s still players on gears 5 for sure but the player count is low . Probably under 7-10,000 players so it Kinda depends on what your perception of “dead” is .
Just to let you know, the underground sniper matches are still big on gow ue, obviously its private matches but people I know still play and have cash tourneys and everything.

Imo 4 and 5 are the best in terms of quality, general improvements across the board. I like 4's campaign and MP better but 5 is way better for co op. Gears will never be super popular unless they overhaul it to be rifle based and we all know the community aint having it lol. Gears is inherently team and skill based. I actually think they need to go back to 4's speed and 5's co op features like Escape and go back to a darker artstyle. Compared to 343 the coalition has done right by the franchise for the most part.
You bring up some good points ! A little mixture of the best stuff from 4 and the best of 5 to make 6 wouldn’t be a bad idea
Gears would be popular. If it had a Mini map and kill streaks. And was all about rifle gameplay, no shotguns. No learning curve. And was Free. Then it would be mainstream. Thank Goodness it’s not popular.

Love both gear 4 and 5!! Amazing games and I think they where the best campaigns in gears history. The big reason for that was how they really leaned into the new characters personalities while still including the the OG's! It was just really well done in my humble opinion 😄. The actual gamelan and feel of both of the games is amazing as well. God I ha e never played a game that has even come remotely close to how good gears 4 and 5 felt! OK rant over. I think gears ultimate edition is just gears of war 1 remastered unless you find the physical copy that comes with a code for all the others. Also game pass has all the gears game in there

U can still play games on UE as well, just search for TDM on US East. May take some time to find a match but u can still play on it.
Horde mode on Gears 5 was awesome, I don't really care for the multiplayer much in general with the Gears franchise.

I’m a die hard gears fan and I agree with you on the whole thing about it not feeling right or something feels off im glad im not the only one who feels that way, multiplayer is tolerable at the most, the campaign isn’t good at all nor did I enjoy it. But that’s totally my opinion. The only thing on gears 5 that i actually did play a lot of was 2v2 gnasher that’s the only game mode or anything really that got me to play the game, it just doesn’t have that feeling that the other gears give me. I remember I hated gears of war 4 when it first came out because of how different it felt from gears 3 but I still played the living hell out of it. So over the years I’ve realized how much better of a game the 4th one is so I think ima start playing that one again.
