You misunderstood the sheikh. It's not about who was the prophet who was referred to in the Old Testament. Sheik Deedat's point is cristal clear : the bible is a mixture of the word of God, word of prophets, word of historians and pornography. In islam, on the other hand, there is Quran (verbatim word of God), the hadith (word of the prophet) in seperate books. You may also find books of history but are not a source of any authority. I think, You need to focus or watch the video twice or more before giving your reaction.

And so is the Quran a mix of stories from the Bible, land ater made-up fantasy stories derived from later made-up apocrypha and folklore. The author of the Quran could not distinguish these stories from these different sources. Just a few examples of the later made-up up fantasy stories:
The story of the baby Isa speaking found in Suras 19:29-31 and 3:46 is a parallel of the apocryphal Arabic Infancy Gospel from beginning of the sixth century.
The many times misquoted verse Surah 5:32 is originated from the Jerusalem Talmud Sanhedrin 4:1, in which is just a commentary written by a Jewish Rabbi
The raven and the burial of Abel in Surah 5:31 is based on Jewish folklore e.g. Pirke De-Rabbi Eli'ezer
Isa and clay birds in Surah 3:49 is also originated from Arabic Infancy Gospel from the sixth century.
The story of Mary, Isa and the palm tree in Surah 19:23-26 is originated from the Gospel of Pseudo-Mathew from the fourth century.
The fantasy story that Jesus was not crucified appeared in the Second Treatise of the Great Seth from the third century. Surah 4:157 is based on this story.
The author of the Quran was confused and could not distinguish between these later fantasy stories and what was actually mentioned in the Bible.
@@reneandjohnI think, it's the other way around. The Quran confirming some stories already mentioned in the Bible is rather an evidence of it's being revealed by the same God who revealed the previous Holy Books. The contrary would seem like prophet Muhammed (pbuh) claims there is a God other than the one who sent all previous prophets (pbut). Likewise, reporting the exact same accounts of the Bible would make the Quran no more than a copy of the ancient scriptures. But the fact it contains verses confirming, others disproving many accounts of the Bible proves it's not a mere copy as were the Gospels of Mathew, Luc and John to the Gospel of Mark. Hence the Quran's definition by Allah as 'Furquan' (filter of truth from falsehood). Furthermore, the objectively proven scientific and historical facts mentioned in the Book, its unexpected preservation not contested even by non-muslim scholars, as opposed the the previous scriptures, are a few examples confirming the authenticity of the Quran as God's last revealed Book. From your arguments, I can see you've read (maybe studied) the Quran. I commend you for that. Please, keep doing so. Either you are going to be able to disprove its being originated from God, or end up convinced it's truly the Word of God.

Now going into more detail, just look for 'Arabic Infancy Gospel'. And as example you will find:
"The Syriac Infancy Gospel, also known as the Arabic Infancy Gospel, is a New Testament apocryphal writing concerning the infancy of Jesus. It may have been compiled as early as the sixth century, and was partly based on the Infancy Gospel of Thomas, the Gospel of James, and the Gospel of Pseudo-Matthew"
And verse 2 of this sixth century document says:
"He has said that Jesus spoke, and, indeed, when He was lying in His cradle said to Mary His mother: I am Jesus, the Son of God, the Logos, whom thou hast brought forth, as the Angel Gabriel announced to thee; and my Father has sent me for the salvation of the world."
Clearly, the Arabia version of the later made up story of a Jesus as a baby speaking from the cradle is derived from the sixth century. So long time after the last eyewitness passed away.
And Surah 19:29, 30 says
There upon Mary pointed to the child. They exclaimed: "How can we speak to one who is in the cradle, a mere child?"
The child cried out: "Verily I am Allah's servant. He has granted me the Book and has made me a Prophet.
The same fantasy story is now in the Quran.
Furthermore you referred to scientists and non islamic scholars. Whatever they say about the Quran, at least they agree about one hard historical fact: Jesus of Nazareth was crucified and died. So if scientists are an authority for you then be consistent and accept also that they prove that the Quran is wrong in Surah 4:157.

The point you make is right but the very stories in bible like of Jonah is brief and is in Quran with fewer details and narratives

sheikh is trying to say there are few words of god in bible but 90% words of bible ain't from god and u cant say for sure which one is god word and which one is not
Noah was before Moses so that can't be him
What kind of theologian are you do you read the verse I will raise among thy brethren
He didn't say it referred to Muhammad but Musa / Moses
But he is not quoting what Quran says below in 7th century

If you doubt these stories ask people of the book
Ask people of the scriptures
How can they come to you for judgement when they have the Torah
The Jews and christians have nothing to stand upon except gospel and torah
The gospel and torah are aight and guide to them let them follow them
When you argue with people of the book do it in The best of ways.
Many times over 100 verses refer to people of the book,former scriptures,gospel,torah

my dear brother you were not giving your full attention to what Mr.Deedat was saying , because it reads (I will raise them up a prophet from among their brothers ) brothers of the sons of Israel are the sons of Ishmael (Aka Arabs ) please focus ! how can it be prophet Azariah ?

Brother is can never be prophet Noah because Noah came before even Abraham, so it can not be him, and also it can not be prophet Isaiah because prophet Isaiah is also a Jew and God is addressing Moses that He will raised up a prophet among their breathering which simply means a non Jewish prophet and also an Arab prophet because Jews and Arabs are cousin brothers through Ishmael and Isaac, and is a well known fact that prophet Muhammad PBUH came from the linage of prophet Ishmael.

No man it can't be Prophet Isaiah or Noah bcoz Isaiah, Jeremaih and co were from same descent like Moses. The prophecy says, from amongst your brethren. Who are the brethren of the Israrlite? It's for sure the Arabs. So, who was that Arab prophet that was raised up by God? Definitely, it was prophet Muhammed. So that prophecy is for Prophet Muhammed 100%.
In John Jesus said' My father is greater than I my father is greater than all'. This is a confirmation that Jesus PBUH is not God.
Please check online Sheikh Zakir Naik who was a student of Ahmed Deedat. Zakir Naik is still alive

@JoJo-in9wc In John 14-16 Jesus Christ was speaking to His disciples. So, according to Deedat, was Muhammad already with the disciples of Jesus and was Muhammad also in these disciples. And according to Deedat was Muhammad also the Holy Spirit who remembered the disciples everything that Jesus Christ has said to them. And according to Deedat was Muhammad sent by Jesus Christ.

Spirit of truth is referring to prophet (Mohamad).while the Holy Spirit is referring to Angel ( Gabriel).

How could it be prophet Noah when Noah came long before even Abraham. Moses came long after Abraham. So how could Moses predict about the person that had passed before him? Many prophets came after Moses but none was like him such as muhammad was like moses in many ways.
