@@d1jezek Hi. I don't think so. In order to fully understand the meaning of the line "triste amor o amor de alguém" you have to take into consideration the next verse "...quando outro amor se tem." So, the meaning of these two, put together is that an unrequited love is a sad love. In other words, it's sad when someone is loved, but that person who is loved, in turn loves someone else.

So this melody, with poetically irregular meters and sometimes too short phrases, is somewhat defying for him. Never the less, He took up the challenge and wrote those enigmatic words.
